ਏਹਾ ਭਗਤਿ ਜਨੁ ਜੀਵਤ ਮਰੈ ॥
ehaa bhagat jan jeevat marai |
True Devotion is to remain dead while yet alive.
ਅਸਲ ਭਗਤੀ ਇਹੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ (ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਤ-ਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਲੋਂ ਅਛੋਹ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਭਵਜਲੁ ਤਰੈ ॥
gur parasaadee bhavajal tarai |
By Guru's Grace, one crosses over the terrible world-ocean.
ਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ (ਦੀਆਂ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਲਹਿਰਾਂ) ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਬਚਨਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਥਾਇ ਪਾਇ ॥
gur kai bachan bhagat thaae paae |
Through the Guru's Teachings, one's devotion is accepted,
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਭਗਤੀ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ) ਪਰਵਾਨ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ,
ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਆਪਿ ਵਸੈ ਮਨਿ ਆਇ ॥੪॥
har jeeo aap vasai man aae |4|
and then, the Dear Lord Himself comes to dwell in the mind. ||4||
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥
ਹਰਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲਾਏ ॥
har kripaa kare satiguroo milaae |
When the Lord bestows His Mercy, He leads us to meet the True Guru.
(ਪਰ ਜੀਵ ਦੇ ਕੀਹ ਵੱਸ? ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਤੇ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਨਿਹਚਲ ਭਗਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਏ ॥
nihachal bhagat har siau chit laae |
Then, one's devotion becomes steady, and the consciousness is centered upon the Lord.
(ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਨਾਲ) ਉਹ ਨਾਹ ਡੋਲਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣਾ ਚਿੱਤ ਜੋੜੀ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਭਗਤਿ ਰਤੇ ਤਿਨੑ ਸਚੀ ਸੋਇ ॥

Those who are imbued with Devotion have truthful reputations.
ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ) ਭਗਤੀ (ਦੇ ਰੰਗ) ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਸੋਭਾ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮਿ ਰਤੇ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਇ ॥੫॥੧੨॥੫੧॥
naanak naam rate sukh hoe |5|12|51|
O Nanak, imbued with the Naam, the Name of the Lord, peace is obtained. ||5||12||51||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ-ਰੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੰਗੇ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੫॥੧੨॥੫੧॥

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਭਾਣੈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਸਚੁ ਸੋਝੀ ਹੋਈ ॥
har kai bhaanai satigur milai sach sojhee hoee |
By the Pleasure of the Lord's Will, one meets the True Guru, and true understanding is obtained.
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ (ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਹੀ ਜੀਵਨ-ਜੁਗਤਿ ਦੀ) ਸਮਝ ਆ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਹਰਿ ਬੂਝੈ ਸੋਈ ॥੧॥
gur parasaadee man vasai har boojhai soee |1|
By Guru's Grace, the Lord abides in the mind, and one comes to understand the Lord. ||1||
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝ ਪਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਮੈ ਸਹੁ ਦਾਤਾ ਏਕੁ ਹੈ ਅਵਰੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਕੋਈ ॥
mai sahu daataa ek hai avar naahee koee |
My Husband Lord, the Great Giver, is One. There is no other at all.
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਹੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਖਸਮ-ਰਾਖਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਭ ਦਾਤਾਂ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
ਗੁਰ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਤਾ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
gur kirapaa te man vasai taa sadaa sukh hoee |1| rahaau |
By Guru's merciful favor, He abides in the mind, and then, a lasting peace ensues. ||1||Pause||
ਪਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ (ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ) ਤਦੋਂ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਆਨੰਦ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਇਸੁ ਜੁਗ ਮਹਿ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਹੈ ਪਾਈਐ ਗੁਰ ਵੀਚਾਰਿ ॥
eis jug meh nirbhau har naam hai paaeeai gur veechaar |
In this age, the Lord's Name is fearless it is obtained by meditative reflection upon the Guru.
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਇਸ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ (ਜਗਤ ਦੇ) ਸਾਰੇ ਡਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਇਹ ਨਾਮ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਦੱਸੀ ਹੋਈ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਬਿਨੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਜਮ ਕੈ ਵਸਿ ਹੈ ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਅੰਧ ਗਵਾਰਿ ॥੨॥
bin naavai jam kai vas hai manamukh andh gavaar |2|
Without the Name, the blind, foolish, self-willed manmukh is under Death's power. ||2||
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਕਾਬੂ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੀ ਹੋਈ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਮੂਰਖ ਟਿਕੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਭਾਣੈ ਜਨੁ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰੈ ਬੂਝੈ ਸਚੁ ਸੋਈ ॥
har kai bhaanai jan sevaa karai boojhai sach soee |
By the Pleasure of the Lord's Will, the humble being performs His service, and understands the True Lord.
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਵਿਚ ਚੱਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ-ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹੀ ਉਸ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਭਾਣੈ ਸਾਲਾਹੀਐ ਭਾਣੈ ਮੰਨਿਐ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਈ ॥੩॥
har kai bhaanai saalaaheeai bhaanai maniai sukh hoee |3|
By the Pleasure of the Lord's Will, He is to be praised surrendering to His Will, peace ensues. ||3||
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਵਿਚ ਤੁਰਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਵਿਚ ਤੁਰੀਏ ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਭਾਣੈ ਜਨਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਮਤਿ ਊਤਮ ਹੋਈ ॥
har kai bhaanai janam padaarath paaeaa mat aootam hoee |
By the Pleasure of the Lord's Will, the prize of this human birth is obtained, and the intellect is exalted.
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਵਿਚ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜਨਮ ਦਾ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਅਕਲ ਵਧੀਆ ਬਣ ਗਈ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਲਾਹਿ ਤੂੰ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਗਤਿ ਹੋਈ ॥੪॥੩੯॥੧੩॥੫੨॥
naanak naam salaeh toon guramukh gat hoee |4|39|13|52|
O Nanak, praise the Naam, the Name of the Lord as Gurmukh, you shall be emancipated. ||4||39||13||52||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ) ਤੂੰ ਭੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਕਰ। ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਿਆਂ ਉੱਚੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੩੯॥੧੩॥੫੨॥

(ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!) ਤੂੰ (ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਦਾ) ਰਚਨਹਾਰ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ (ਹੀ) ਮੇਰਾ ਖਸਮ ਹੈਂ।
ਜੋ ਤਉ ਭਾਵੈ ਸੋਈ ਥੀਸੀ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਦੇਹਿ ਸੋਈ ਹਉ ਪਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jo tau bhaavai soee theesee jo toon dehi soee hau paaee |1| rahaau |
That which is pleasing to Your Will, comes to pass. Whatever You give, that is what I receive. ||1||Pause||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! (ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ) ਉਹੀ ਕੁਝ ਵਰਤ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ। (ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!) ਮੈਂ ਉਹੀ ਕੁਝ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਤੂੰ (ਮੈਨੂੰ) ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਸਭ ਤੇਰੀ ਤੂੰ ਸਭਨੀ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥
sabh teree toon sabhanee dhiaaeaa |
All are Yours all meditate on You.
(ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!) ਸਾਰੀ ਲੁਕਾਈ ਤੇਰੀ (ਰਚੀ ਹੋਈ) ਹੈ, ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੇ (ਔਖੇ ਸੌਖੇ ਵੇਲੇ) ਤੈਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰਹਿ ਤਿਨਿ ਨਾਮ ਰਤਨੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
jis no kripaa kareh tin naam ratan paaeaa |
He alone, whom You bless with Your Mercy, obtains the jewel of the Naam.
ਜਿਸ ਉਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ-ਰਤਨ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ।
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਲਾਧਾ ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਗਵਾਇਆ ॥
guramukh laadhaa manamukh gavaaeaa |
The Gurmukhs obtain it, and the self-willed manmukhs lose it.
(ਪਰ) ਲੱਭਾ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਜੋ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਿਆ, ਤੇ ਗਵਾਇਆ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਜੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੁਰਿਆ।
ਤੁਧੁ ਆਪਿ ਵਿਛੋੜਿਆ ਆਪਿ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ॥੧॥
tudh aap vichhorriaa aap milaaeaa |1|
You Yourself separate the mortals, and You Yourself unite them. ||1||
(ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਭੀ ਕੀਹ ਵੱਸ? ਮਨਮੁਖ ਨੂੰ) ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਆਪਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਵਿਛੋੜ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਤੇ (ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨੂੰ) ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਆਪਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਜੋੜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਤੂੰ ਦਰੀਆਉ ਸਭ ਤੁਝ ਹੀ ਮਾਹਿ ॥
toon dareeaau sabh tujh hee maeh |
You are the River - all are within You.
(ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!) ਤੂੰ (ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦਾ ਇਕ ਵੱਡਾ) ਦਰੀਆ ਹੈਂ, ਸਾਰੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਿਚ (ਜੀਊ ਰਹੀ) ਹੈ,
ਤੁਝ ਬਿਨੁ ਦੂਜਾ ਕੋਈ ਨਾਹਿ ॥
tujh bin doojaa koee naeh |
Other than You, there is no one at all.
(ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਪ ਹੈਂ) ਤੈਥੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਦੂਜੀ ਹਸਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਸਭਿ ਤੇਰਾ ਖੇਲੁ ॥
jeea jant sabh teraa khel |
All beings and creatures are your play-things.
(ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਇਹ) ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਤੇਰਾ (ਰਚਿਆ) ਤਮਾਸ਼ਾ ਹੈ।
ਵਿਜੋਗਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਵਿਛੁੜਿਆ ਸੰਜੋਗੀ ਮੇਲੁ ॥੨॥
vijog mil vichhurriaa sanjogee mel |2|
The united ones are separated, and the separated ones are re-united. ||2||
(ਤੇਰੀ ਹੀ ਧੁਰ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਮਿਲੇ) ਵਿਜੋਗ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਣ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਜੀਵ ਵਿਛੁੜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਸੰਜੋਗ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਮੁੜ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਤੂ ਜਾਣਾਇਹਿ ਸੋਈ ਜਨੁ ਜਾਣੈ ॥
jis no too jaanaaeihi soee jan jaanai |
That humble being, whom You inspire to understand, understands
(ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!) ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਸਮਝ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਉਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਜੀਵਨ-ਮਨੋਰਥ ਨੂੰ) ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਸਦ ਹੀ ਆਖਿ ਵਖਾਣੈ ॥
har gun sad hee aakh vakhaanai |
he continually speaks and chants the Glorious Praises of the Lord.
ਤੇ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹਰਿ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਸਦਾ ਆਖ ਕੇ ਬਿਆਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਜਿਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਵਿਆ ਤਿਨਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
jin har seviaa tin sukh paaeaa |
One who serves the Lord, obtains peace.
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ-ਭਗਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣ ਲਿਆ
ਸਹਜੇ ਹੀ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਇਆ ॥੩॥
sahaje hee har naam samaaeaa |3|
He is easily absorbed in the Lord's Name. ||3||
ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਸਿਮਰਨ-ਭਗਤੀ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ) ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ॥੩॥
ਤੂ ਆਪੇ ਕਰਤਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਕੀਆ ਸਭੁ ਹੋਇ ॥
too aape karataa teraa keea sabh hoe |
You Yourself are the Creator by Your doing, all things come to be.
(ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!) ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਜਗਤ ਦਾ) ਰਚਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ। (ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ) ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਤੇਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੀ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ,
ਤੁਧੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਦੂਜਾ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥
tudh bin doojaa avar na koe |
Without You, there is no other at all.
ਤੈਥੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਕੁਝ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
ਤੂ ਕਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਵੇਖਹਿ ਜਾਣਹਿ ਸੋਇ ॥
too kar kar vekheh jaaneh soe |
You watch over the creation, and understand it.
ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਜਗਤ-ਰਚਨਾ) ਕਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਸਭ ਦੀ) ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਇਸ ਸਾਰੇ (ਭੇਤ) ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪਰਗਟੁ ਹੋਇ ॥੪॥੧॥੫੩॥
jan naanak guramukh paragatt hoe |4|1|53|
O servant Nanak, the Lord is revealed to the Gurmukh. ||4||1||53||
ਹੇ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀ ਗੱਲ ਸਮਝ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੧॥੫੩॥
