Gauree, Kabeer Jee:
ਜਾ ਕੈ ਹਰਿ ਸਾ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਭਾਈ ॥
jaa kai har saa tthaakur bhaaee |
One who has the Lord as his Master, O Siblings of Destiny
ਹੇ ਸੱਜਣ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਰੂਪ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਾਲਕ ਆਪ (ਮੌਜੂਦ) ਹੈ,
ਮੁਕਤਿ ਅਨੰਤ ਪੁਕਾਰਣਿ ਜਾਈ ॥੧॥
mukat anant pukaaran jaaee |1|
- countless liberations knock at his door. ||1||
ਮੁਕਤੀ ਉਸ ਅੱਗੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਆਪ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਵਾਰੀ ਭੇਟ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਅਬ ਕਹੁ ਰਾਮ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਤੋਰਾ ॥
ab kahu raam bharosaa toraa |
If I say now that my trust is in You alone, Lord,
(ਹੇ ਕਬੀਰ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਵਿਚ) ਹੁਣ ਆਖ-ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਤੇਰਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈ,
ਤਬ ਕਾਹੂ ਕਾ ਕਵਨੁ ਨਿਹੋਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
tab kaahoo kaa kavan nihoraa |1| rahaau |
then what obligation do I have to anyone else? ||1||Pause||
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਣ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੀ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ਾਮਦ (ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ) ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਤੀਨਿ ਲੋਕ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਹਹਿ ਭਾਰ ॥
teen lok jaa kai heh bhaar |
He bears the burden of the three worlds
ਜਿਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਆਸਰੇ ਤ੍ਰੈਵੇ ਲੋਕ ਹਨ,
ਸੋ ਕਾਹੇ ਨ ਕਰੈ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਰ ॥੨॥
so kaahe na karai pratipaar |2|
why should He not cherish you also? ||2||
ਉਹ (ਤੇਰੀ) ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਨ ਕਰੇਗਾ? ॥੨॥
ਕਹੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਇਕ ਬੁਧਿ ਬੀਚਾਰੀ ॥
kahu kabeer ik budh beechaaree |
Says Kabeer, through contemplation, I have obtained this one understanding.
ਕਬੀਰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- ਅਸਾਂ ਇਕ ਸੋਚ ਸੋਚੀ ਹੈ
ਕਿਆ ਬਸੁ ਜਉ ਬਿਖੁ ਦੇ ਮਹਤਾਰੀ ॥੩॥੨੨॥
kiaa bas jau bikh de mahataaree |3|22|
If the mother poisons her own child, what can anyone do? ||3||22||
(ਉਹ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਜੇ ਮਾਂ ਹੀ ਜ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇਣ ਲੱਗੇ ਤਾਂ (ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦਾ) ਕੋਈ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਚੱਲ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੩॥੨੨॥

ਬਿਨੁ ਸਤ ਸਤੀ ਹੋਇ ਕੈਸੇ ਨਾਰਿ ॥
bin sat satee hoe kaise naar |
Without Truth, how can the woman be a true satee - a widow who burns herself on her husband's funeral pyre?
ਭਲਾ ਸਤਿ-ਧਰਮ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਸਤੀ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਬਣ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ?
ਪੰਡਿਤ ਦੇਖਹੁ ਰਿਦੈ ਬੀਚਾਰਿ ॥੧॥

O Pandit, O religious scholar, see this and contemplate it within your heart. ||1||
ਹੇ ਪੰਡਿਤ! ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕੇ ਵੇਖ ॥੧॥
ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਬਿਨਾ ਕੈਸੇ ਬਧੈ ਸਨੇਹੁ ॥
preet binaa kaise badhai sanehu |
Without love, how can one's affection increase?
(ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ) ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨਾਲ) ਪਿਆਰ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਬਣ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ?
ਜਬ ਲਗੁ ਰਸੁ ਤਬ ਲਗੁ ਨਹੀ ਨੇਹੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jab lag ras tab lag nahee nehu |1| rahaau |
As long as there is attachment to pleasure, there can be no spiritual love. ||1||Pause||
ਜਦ ਤਾਈਂ (ਮਨ ਵਿਚ) ਮਾਇਆ ਦਾ ਚਸਕਾ ਹੈ, ਤਦ ਤਾਈਂ (ਪਤੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ) ਪਿਆਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਸਾਹਨਿ ਸਤੁ ਕਰੈ ਜੀਅ ਅਪਨੈ ॥
saahan sat karai jeea apanai |
One who, in his own soul, believes the Queen Maya to be true,
ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮਾਇਆ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਸੱਤ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਸੋ ਰਮਯੇ ਕਉ ਮਿਲੈ ਨ ਸੁਪਨੈ ॥੨॥
so ramaye kau milai na supanai |2|
does not meet the Lord, even in dreams. ||2||
ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਪਨੇ ਵਿਚ ਭੀ (ਭਾਵ, ਕਦੇ ਭੀ) ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੨॥
ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਧਨੁ ਗ੍ਰਿਹੁ ਸਉਪਿ ਸਰੀਰੁ ॥
tan man dhan grihu saup sareer |
One who surrenders her body, mind, wealth, home and self
ਜੋ ਆਪਣਾ ਤਨ, ਮਨ, ਧਨ, ਘਰ ਤੇ ਸਰੀਰ (ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀ ਦੇ) ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦੀ ਹੈ,
ਸੋਈ ਸੁਹਾਗਨਿ ਕਹੈ ਕਬੀਰੁ ॥੩॥੨੩॥
soee suhaagan kahai kabeer |3|23|
- she is the true soul-bride, says Kabeer. ||3||23||
ਕਬੀਰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ-ਉਹੋ (ਜੀਵ-) ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ ॥੩॥੨੩॥

ਬਿਖਿਆ ਬਿਆਪਿਆ ਸਗਲ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ॥
bikhiaa biaapiaa sagal sansaar |
The whole world is engrossed in corruption.
ਸਾਰਾ ਜਹਾਨ ਹੀ ਮਾਇਆ (ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ) ਨਾਲ ਨੱਪਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ
ਬਿਖਿਆ ਲੈ ਡੂਬੀ ਪਰਵਾਰੁ ॥੧॥
bikhiaa lai ddoobee paravaar |1|
This corruption has drowned entire families. ||1||
ਮਾਇਆ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਕਟੁੰਬ ਨੂੰ (ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਡੋਬੀ ਬੈਠੀ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਰੇ ਨਰ ਨਾਵ ਚਉੜਿ ਕਤ ਬੋੜੀ ॥
re nar naav chaurr kat borree |
O man, why have you wrecked your boat and sunk it?
ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ! ਤੂੰ (ਆਪਣੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦੀ) ਬੇੜੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਰੜੇ ਥਾਂ ਤੇ ਹੀ ਡੋਬ ਲਈ ਹੈ?
ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਤੋੜਿ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਸੰਗਿ ਜੋੜੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
har siau torr bikhiaa sang jorree |1| rahaau |
You have broken with the Lord, and joined hands with corruption. ||1||Pause||
ਤੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਤੋੜ ਕੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਨਾਲ ਗੰਢੀ ਬੈਠਾ ਹੈਂ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਸੁਰਿ ਨਰ ਦਾਧੇ ਲਾਗੀ ਆਗਿ ॥
sur nar daadhe laagee aag |
Angels and human beings alike are burning in the raging fire.
(ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਦੀ) ਅੱਗ ਲੱਗੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ (ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚ) ਦੇਵਤੇ ਤੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੜ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
ਨਿਕਟਿ ਨੀਰੁ ਪਸੁ ਪੀਵਸਿ ਨ ਝਾਗਿ ॥੨॥
nikatt neer pas peevas na jhaag |2|
The water is near at hand, but the beast does not drink it in. ||2||
(ਇਸ ਅੱਗ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਨਾਮ-ਰੂਪ) ਪਾਣੀ ਭੀ ਨੇੜੇ ਹੀ ਹੈ, ਪਰ (ਇਹ) ਪਸ਼ੂ (ਜੀਵ) ਉੱਦਮ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਪੀਂਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਚੇਤਤ ਚੇਤਤ ਨਿਕਸਿਓ ਨੀਰੁ ॥
chetat chetat nikasio neer |
By constant contemplation and awareness, the water is brought forth.
(ਉਹ ਨਾਮ-ਰੂਪ) ਪਾਣੀ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ (ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ) ਪਰਗਟ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸੋ ਜਲੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਕਥਤ ਕਬੀਰੁ ॥੩॥੨੪॥
so jal niramal kathat kabeer |3|24|
That water is immaculate and pure, says Kabeer. ||3||24||
ਕਬੀਰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- ਉਹ (ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ-) ਜਲ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਦੀ ਅੱਗ ਉਸੇ ਜਲ ਨਾਲ ਬੁਝ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ) ॥੩॥੨੪॥

ਜਿਹ ਕੁਲਿ ਪੂਤੁ ਨ ਗਿਆਨ ਬੀਚਾਰੀ ॥
jih kul poot na giaan beechaaree |
That family, whose son has no spiritual wisdom or contemplation
ਜਿਸ ਕੁਲ ਵਿਚ ਗਿਆਨ ਦੀ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ (ਕੋਈ) ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨਹੀਂ (ਜੰਮਿਆ),
ਬਿਧਵਾ ਕਸ ਨ ਭਈ ਮਹਤਾਰੀ ॥੧॥
bidhavaa kas na bhee mahataaree |1|
- why didn't his mother just become a widow? ||1||
ਉਸ ਦੀ ਮਾਂ ਰੰਡੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਨ ਹੋ ਗਈ? ॥੧॥
ਜਿਹ ਨਰ ਰਾਮ ਭਗਤਿ ਨਹਿ ਸਾਧੀ ॥
jih nar raam bhagat neh saadhee |
That man who has not practiced devotional worship of the Lord
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਬੰਦਗ਼ੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ,
ਜਨਮਤ ਕਸ ਨ ਮੁਓ ਅਪਰਾਧੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
janamat kas na muo aparaadhee |1| rahaau |
- why didn't such a sinful man die at birth? ||1||Pause||
ਉਹ ਅਪਰਾਧੀ ਜੰਮਦਾ ਹੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਰ ਗਿਆ? ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਮੁਚੁ ਮੁਚੁ ਗਰਭ ਗਏ ਕੀਨ ਬਚਿਆ ॥
much much garabh ge keen bachiaa |
So many pregnancies end in miscarriage - why was this one spared?
(ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਿਚ) ਕਈ ਗਰਭ ਛਣ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਇਹ (ਬੰਦਗੀ-ਹੀਣ ਚੰਦਰਾ) ਕਿਉਂ ਬਚ ਰਿਹਾ?
ਬੁਡਭੁਜ ਰੂਪ ਜੀਵੇ ਜਗ ਮਝਿਆ ॥੨॥
buddabhuj roop jeeve jag majhiaa |2|
He lives his life in this world like a deformed amputee. ||2||
(ਬੰਦਗੀ ਤੋਂ ਸੱਖਣਾ ਇਹ) ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਇਕ ਕੋੜ੍ਹੀ ਜੀਊ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਕਹੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਜੈਸੇ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਸਰੂਪ ॥
kahu kabeer jaise sundar saroop |
Says Kabeer, without the Naam, the Name of the Lord,
ਕਬੀਰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਸੱਖਣੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ (ਭਾਵੇਂ ਵੇਖਣ ਨੂੰ) ਸੋਹਣੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ
ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨਾ ਜੈਸੇ ਕੁਬਜ ਕੁਰੂਪ ॥੩॥੨੫॥
naam binaa jaise kubaj kuroop |3|25|
Beautiful and handsome people are just ugly hunch-backs. ||3||25||
ਪਰ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਸੱਖਣੇ (ਅਸਲ ਵਿਚ) ਕੁੱਬੇ ਤੇ ਬਦ-ਸ਼ਕਲ ਹਨ ॥੩॥੨੫॥

ਜੋ ਜਨ ਲੇਹਿ ਖਸਮ ਕਾ ਨਾਉ ॥
jo jan lehi khasam kaa naau |
I am forever a sacrifice to those humble beings
ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮਾਲਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦੇ ਹਨ,
ਤਿਨ ਕੈ ਸਦ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੈ ਜਾਉ ॥੧॥
tin kai sad balihaarai jaau |1|
Who take the Name of their Lord and Master. ||1||
ਮੈਂ ਸਦਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੧॥
ਸੋ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵੈ ॥
so niramal niramal har gun gaavai |
Those who sing the Glorious Praises of the Pure Lord are pure.
ਜੋ ਵੀਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਸੁਹਣੇ (ਨਿਰਮਲ) ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੈ,
ਸੋ ਭਾਈ ਮੇਰੈ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਵੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
so bhaaee merai man bhaavai |1| rahaau |
They are my Siblings of Destiny, so dear to my heart. ||1||Pause||
ਤੇ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਜਿਹ ਘਟ ਰਾਮੁ ਰਹਿਆ ਭਰਪੂਰਿ ॥
jih ghatt raam rahiaa bharapoor |
I am the dust of the lotus feet of those
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪਰਗਟ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ,
ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਪਗ ਪੰਕਜ ਹਮ ਧੂਰਿ ॥੨॥
tin kee pag pankaj ham dhoor |2|
Whose hearts are filled with the All-pervading Lord. ||2||
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੌਲ ਫੁੱਲ ਵਰਗੇ (ਸੁਹਣੇ) ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਸੀਂ ਧੂੜ ਹਾਂ (ਭਾਵ, ਚਰਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਹਾਂ) ॥੨॥
ਜਾਤਿ ਜੁਲਾਹਾ ਮਤਿ ਕਾ ਧੀਰੁ ॥
jaat julaahaa mat kaa dheer |
I am a weaver by birth, and patient of mind.
ਕਬੀਰ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਜਾਤ ਦਾ ਜੁਲਾਹਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਮੱਤ ਦਾ ਧੀਰਜ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ,
ਸਹਜਿ ਸਹਜਿ ਗੁਣ ਰਮੈ ਕਬੀਰੁ ॥੩॥੨੬॥
sehaj sehaj gun ramai kabeer |3|26|
Slowly, steadily, Kabeer chants the Glories of God. ||3||26||
(ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ) ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥੨੬॥

ਗਗਨਿ ਰਸਾਲ ਚੁਐ ਮੇਰੀ ਭਾਠੀ ॥
gagan rasaal chuai meree bhaatthee |
From the Sky of the Tenth Gate, the nectar trickles down, distilled from my furnace.
ਮੇਰੀ ਗਗਨ-ਰੂਪ ਭੱਠੀ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਸੁਆਦਲਾ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਚੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਜਿਉਂ ਜਿਉਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਯਾਦ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਦੀ ਇਕ-ਤਾਰ ਲਗਨ, ਮਾਨੋ, ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਦੀ ਧਾਰ ਨਿਕਲਣੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ),
ਸੰਚਿ ਮਹਾ ਰਸੁ ਤਨੁ ਭਇਆ ਕਾਠੀ ॥੧॥
sanch mahaa ras tan bheaa kaatthee |1|
I have gathered in this most sublime essence, making my body into firewood. ||1||
ਇਸ ਉੱਚੇ ਨਾਮ-ਰਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰਨ ਕਰਕੇ ਸਰੀਰ (ਦੀ ਮਮਤਾ) ਲੱਕੜੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਦੇ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਸਰੀਰ ਦੀ ਮਮਤਾ ਸੜ ਗਈ ਹੈ) ॥੧॥
ਉਆ ਕਉ ਕਹੀਐ ਸਹਜ ਮਤਵਾਰਾ ॥
auaa kau kaheeai sehaj matavaaraa |
He alone is called intoxicated with intuitive peace and poise,
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਦਰਤੀ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ (ਭਾਵ, ਸੁਭਾਵਿਕ ਹੀ) ਮਸਤ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਆਖੀਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਪੀਵਤ ਰਾਮ ਰਸੁ ਗਿਆਨ ਬੀਚਾਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
peevat raam ras giaan beechaaraa |1| rahaau |
who drinks in the juice of the Lord's essence, contemplating spiritual wisdom. ||1||Pause||
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ (ਭਾਵ, ਸੁਰਤ ਮਾਇਆ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚੀ ਕਰ ਕੇ) ਰਾਮ-ਰਸ ਪੀਤਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਸਹਜ ਕਲਾਲਨਿ ਜਉ ਮਿਲਿ ਆਈ ॥
sehaj kalaalan jau mil aaee |
Intuitive poise is the bar-maid who comes to serve it.
ਜਦੋਂ ਸਹਿਜ ਅਵਸਥਾ-ਰੂਪ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਪਿਲਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਆ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ,
ਆਨੰਦਿ ਮਾਤੇ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਜਾਈ ॥੨॥

I pass my nights and days in ecstasy. ||2||
ਤਦੋਂ ਅਨੰਦ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ (ਉਮਰ ਦਾ) ਹਰੇਕ ਦਿਨ ਬੀਤਦਾ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਿਆਂ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਇਕ ਐਸੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਮਨ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਝਕੋਲਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਡੋਲਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ। ਇਸ ਹਾਲਤ ਨੂੰ ਸਹਿਜ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਕਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਇਹ ਸਹਿਜ ਅਵਸਥਾ, ਮਾਨੋ, ਇਕ ਕਲਾਲਣ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਦੇਈ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਇਸ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਤੋਂ ਵਿਛੜਨ ਨੂੰ ਚਿੱਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ, ਤੇ ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਲਿਵ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਟਿਕੇ ਰਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ) ॥੨॥
ਚੀਨਤ ਚੀਤੁ ਨਿਰੰਜਨ ਲਾਇਆ ॥

(ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣ ਮਾਣ ਕੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਮਨ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਿਆ,
ਕਹੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਤੌ ਅਨਭਉ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੩॥੨੭॥
