ਮੋਹਿ ਰੈਣਿ ਨ ਵਿਹਾਵੈ ਨੀਦ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਬਿਨੁ ਦੇਖੇ ਗੁਰ ਦਰਬਾਰੇ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥
mohi rain na vihaavai need na aavai bin dekhe gur darabaare jeeo |3|
I cannot endure the night, and sleep does not come, without the Sight of the Beloved Guru's Court. ||3||
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ, ਤਾਹੀਏਂ) ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਦਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਮੇਰੀ (ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦੀ) ਰਾਤ (ਸੌਖੀ) ਨਹੀਂ ਲੰਘਦੀ, ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ ॥੩॥
ਹਉ ਘੋਲੀ ਜੀਉ ਘੋਲਿ ਘੁਮਾਈ ਤਿਸੁ ਸਚੇ ਗੁਰ ਦਰਬਾਰੇ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

I am a sacrifice, my soul is a sacrifice, to that True Court of the Beloved Guru. ||1||Pause||
ਮੈਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਹਾਂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਸਦਾ ਅਟੱਲ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਭਾਗੁ ਹੋਆ ਗੁਰਿ ਸੰਤੁ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ॥
bhaag hoaa gur sant milaaeaa |
By good fortune, I have met the Saint Guru.
ਮੇਰੇ ਭਾਗ ਜਾਗ ਪਏ ਹਨ, ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਦਾ ਸੋਮਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਮਿਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਘਰ ਮਹਿ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
prabh abinaasee ghar meh paaeaa |
I have found the Immortal Lord within the home of my own self.
(ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ) ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਸੇਵ ਕਰੀ ਪਲੁ ਚਸਾ ਨ ਵਿਛੁੜਾ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਤੁਮਾਰੇ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥
sev karee pal chasaa na vichhurraa jan naanak daas tumaare jeeo |4|
I will now serve You forever, and I shall never be separated from You, even for an instant. Servant Nanak is Your slave, O Beloved Master. ||4||
ਹੇ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ) ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਦਾਸਾਂ ਦੀ (ਨਿੱਤ) ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹਾਂ, (ਤੇਰੇ ਦਾਸਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਮੈਂ ਇਕ ਪਲ ਭਰ ਭੀ ਨਾਹ ਵਿੱਛੁੜਾਂ, ਇਕ ਚਸਾ-ਭਰ ਭੀ ਨਾਹ ਵਿੱਛੁੜਾਂ ॥੪॥
ਹਉ ਘੋਲੀ ਜੀਉ ਘੋਲਿ ਘੁਮਾਈ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਤੁਮਾਰੇ ਜੀਉ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥੧॥੮॥

ਸਾ ਰੁਤਿ ਸੁਹਾਵੀ ਜਿਤੁ ਤੁਧੁ ਸਮਾਲੀ ॥
saa rut suhaavee jit tudh samaalee |
Sweet is that season when I remember You.
ਹੇ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਾਤੇ! ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਉਹ ਸਮਾ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸੁਖਦਾਈ ਜਾਪਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸੋ ਕੰਮੁ ਸੁਹੇਲਾ ਜੋ ਤੇਰੀ ਘਾਲੀ ॥
so kam suhelaa jo teree ghaalee |
Sublime is that work which is done for You.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜੇਹੜਾ ਕੰਮ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਉਹ ਕੰਮ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸੁਖਾਵਾਂ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸੋ ਰਿਦਾ ਸੁਹੇਲਾ ਜਿਤੁ ਰਿਦੈ ਤੂੰ ਵੁਠਾ ਸਭਨਾ ਕੇ ਦਾਤਾਰਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥
so ridaa suhelaa jit ridai toon vutthaa sabhanaa ke daataaraa jeeo |1|
Blessed is that heart in which You dwell, O Giver of all. ||1||
ਹੇ ਦਾਤਾਰ! ਜਿਸ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਤੂੰ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਉਹ ਹਿਰਦਾ ਠੰਢਾ-ਠਾਰ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਤੂੰ ਸਾਝਾ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਬਾਪੁ ਹਮਾਰਾ ॥
toon saajhaa saahib baap hamaaraa |
You are the Universal Father of all, O my Lord and Master.
ਹੇ ਦਾਤਾਰ! ਤੂੰ ਸਾਡਾ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਿਉ ਹੈਂ (ਤੇ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਦਾਤਾਂ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਦਾ ਹੈਂ)।
ਨਉ ਨਿਧਿ ਤੇਰੈ ਅਖੁਟ ਭੰਡਾਰਾ ॥
nau nidh terai akhutt bhanddaaraa |
Your nine treasures are an inexhaustible storehouse.
ਤੇਰੇ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ (ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ) ਨੌ ਹੀ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹਨ, ਤੇਰੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਕਦੇ ਤੋਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ।
ਜਿਸੁ ਤੂੰ ਦੇਹਿ ਸੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਅਘਾਵੈ ਸੋਈ ਭਗਤੁ ਤੁਮਾਰਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥
jis toon dehi su tripat aghaavai soee bhagat tumaaraa jeeo |2|
Those unto whom You give are satisfied and fulfilled they become Your devotees, Lord. ||2||
(ਪਰ) ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ (ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਦਾਤਿ) ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਉਹ (ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ) ਰੱਜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ, ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਉਹੀ ਤੇਰਾ ਭਗਤ (ਅਖਵਾ ਸਕਦਾ) ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਸਭੁ ਕੋ ਆਸੈ ਤੇਰੀ ਬੈਠਾ ॥
sabh ko aasai teree baitthaa |
All place their hopes in You.
ਹੇ ਦਾਤਾਰ! ਹਰੇਕ ਜੀਵ ਤੇਰੀ! (ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ ਦੀ) ਆਸ ਰੱਖੀ ਬੈਠਾ ਹੈ।
ਘਟ ਘਟ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਤੂੰਹੈ ਵੁਠਾ ॥
ghatt ghatt antar toonhai vutthaa |
You dwell deep within each and every heart.
ਹਰੇਕ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਸਭੇ ਸਾਝੀਵਾਲ ਸਦਾਇਨਿ ਤੂੰ ਕਿਸੈ ਨ ਦਿਸਹਿ ਬਾਹਰਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥
sabhe saajheevaal sadaaein toon kisai na diseh baaharaa jeeo |3|
All share in Your Grace none are beyond You. ||3||
(ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ) ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਸਾਂਝ ਰੱਖਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਖਵਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਕੋਈ ਜੀਵ ਐਸਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ, ਜੋ ਤੈਥੋਂ ਵੱਖਰਾ ਹੋਵੇ (ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚ ਤੂੰ ਨਾਹ ਹੋਵੇਂ) ॥੩॥
ਤੂੰ ਆਪੇ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਕਰਾਇਹਿ ॥

You Yourself liberate the Gurmukhs
ਹੇ ਦਾਤਾਰ! ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਾ ਕੇ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਬੰਧਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਕਰਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ,
ਤੂੰ ਆਪੇ ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਜਨਮਿ ਭਵਾਇਹਿ ॥
toon aape manamukh janam bhavaaeihi |
You Yourself consign the self-willed manmukhs to wander in reincarnation.
ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਨ ਦਾ ਗ਼ੁਲਾਮ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਗੇੜ ਵਿਚ ਭਵਾਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਤੇਰੈ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੈ ਸਭੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਖੇਲੁ ਦਸਾਹਰਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੨॥੯॥
naanak daas terai balihaarai sabh teraa khel dasaaharaa jeeo |4|2|9|
Slave Nanak is a sacrifice to You Your Entire Play is self-evident, Lord. ||4||2||9||
ਹੇ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!) ਮੈਂ ਤੈਥੋਂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਹਾਂ, ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀ ਜਗਤ-ਰਚਨਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਤੱਖ ਤਮਾਸ਼ਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੨॥੯॥

ਅਨਹਦੁ ਵਾਜੈ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਹੇਲਾ ॥

The Unstruck Melody resounds and resonates in peaceful ease.
(ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦਾ) ਇਕ-ਰਸ ਵਾਜਾ ਵੱਜ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, (ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ) ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕ ਕੇ ਸੁਖੀ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਸਬਦਿ ਅਨੰਦ ਕਰੇ ਸਦ ਕੇਲਾ ॥
sabad anand kare sad kelaa |
I rejoice in the eternal bliss of the Word of the Shabad.
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜ ਕੇ ਸਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਤੇ ਰੰਗ ਮਾਣ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਸਹਜ ਗੁਫਾ ਮਹਿ ਤਾੜੀ ਲਾਈ ਆਸਣੁ ਊਚ ਸਵਾਰਿਆ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥
sehaj gufaa meh taarree laaee aasan aooch savaariaa jeeo |1|
In the cave of intuitive wisdom I sit, absorbed in the silent trance of the Primal Void. I have obtained my seat in the heavens. ||1||
(ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਂ) ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ-ਰੂਪ ਗੁਫਾ ਵਿਚ ਸਮਾਧੀ ਲਾਈ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚੇ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਟਿਕਾਣਾ ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਫਿਰਿ ਘਿਰਿ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਮਹਿ ਆਇਆ ॥
fir ghir apune grih meh aaeaa |
After wandering through many other homes and houses, I have returned to my own home,
ਹੁਣ (ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ) ਮੁੜ ਘਿੜ ਅੰਤਰ ਆਤਮੇ ਆ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਜੋ ਲੋੜੀਦਾ ਸੋਈ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
jo lorreedaa soee paaeaa |
and I have found what I was longing for.
ਜੇਹੜੀ (ਆਤਮਕ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ) ਮੈਨੂੰ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਸੀ ਉਹ ਮੈਂ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲਈ ਹੈ।
ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਅਘਾਇ ਰਹਿਆ ਹੈ ਸੰਤਹੁ ਗੁਰਿ ਅਨਭਉ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਦਿਖਾਰਿਆ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥
tripat aghaae rahiaa hai santahu gur anbhau purakh dikhaariaa jeeo |2|
I am satisfied and fulfilled O Saints, the Guru has shown me the Fearless Lord God. ||2||
ਹੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋ! (ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਾਸਨਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ) ਪੂਰਨ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਰੱਜ ਚੁਕਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ (ਮੈਨੂੰ) ਆਤਮਕ ਚਾਨਣ (ਦੇ ਕੇ) ਸਭ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਆਪੇ ਰਾਜਨੁ ਆਪੇ ਲੋਗਾ ॥
aape raajan aape logaa |
He Himself is the King, and He Himself is the people.
(ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਸ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਪਰਜਾ-ਰੂਪ ਹੈ।
ਆਪਿ ਨਿਰਬਾਣੀ ਆਪੇ ਭੋਗਾ ॥
aap nirabaanee aape bhogaa |
He Himself is in Nirvaanaa, and He Himself indulges in pleasures.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਵਾਸਨਾ ਰਹਿਤ ਭੀ ਹੈ ਤੇ (ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੋਣ ਕਰਕੇ) ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਭੋਗ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਆਪੇ ਤਖਤਿ ਬਹੈ ਸਚੁ ਨਿਆਈ ਸਭ ਚੂਕੀ ਕੂਕ ਪੁਕਾਰਿਆ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥
aape takhat bahai sach niaaee sabh chookee kook pukaariaa jeeo |3|
He Himself sits on the throne of true justice, answering the cries and prayers of all. ||3||
ਉਹ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਉਤੇ ਬੈਠਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਨਿਆਂ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ (ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਸੁਖ ਆਵੇ ਚਾਹੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਵਾਪਰੇ, ਮੇਰੀ) ਸਾਰੀ ਗਿਲ੍ਹਾ-ਗੁਜ਼ਾਰੀ ਮੁੱਕ ਚੁਕੀ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਜੇਹਾ ਡਿਠਾ ਮੈ ਤੇਹੋ ਕਹਿਆ ॥
jehaa dditthaa mai teho kahiaa |
As I have seen Him, so have I described Him.
(ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਨਾਲ) ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਸ (ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ) ਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਉਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਕਹਿ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਤਿਸੁ ਰਸੁ ਆਇਆ ਜਿਨਿ ਭੇਦੁ ਲਹਿਆ ॥
tis ras aaeaa jin bhed lahiaa |
This Sublime Essence comes only to one who knows the Mystery of the Lord.
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਭੇਦ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ (ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦਾ) ਆਨੰਦ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਜੋਤੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਮਿਲੀ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਇਕੁ ਪਸਾਰਿਆ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੩॥੧੦॥
jotee jot milee sukh paaeaa jan naanak ik pasaariaa jeeo |4|3|10|
His light merges into the Light, and he finds peace. O servant Nanak, this is all the Extension of the One. ||4||3||10||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਸੁਰਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਹੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੩॥੧੦॥

ਜਿਤੁ ਘਰਿ ਪਿਰਿ ਸੋਹਾਗੁ ਬਣਾਇਆ ॥

That house, in which the soul-bride has married her Husband Lord
ਹੇ ਸਖੀ! ਜਿਸ ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨੇ (ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਕਾਸ਼ ਨਾਲ) ਚੰਗਾ ਭਾਗ ਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੋਵੇ,
ਤਿਤੁ ਘਰਿ ਸਖੀਏ ਮੰਗਲੁ ਗਾਇਆ ॥
tit ghar sakhee mangal gaaeaa |

ਉਸ ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਘਰ ਵਿਚ (ਪ੍ਰਭ-ਪਤੀ ਦੀ) ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦਾ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਅਨਦ ਬਿਨੋਦ ਤਿਤੈ ਘਰਿ ਸੋਹਹਿ ਜੋ ਧਨ ਕੰਤਿ ਸਿਗਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥
anad binod titai ghar soheh jo dhan kant sigaaree jeeo |1|
Joy and celebrations decorate that house, in which the Husband Lord has adorned His soul-bride. ||1||
ਜਿਸ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਸੁੰਦਰਤਾ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੋਵੇ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਸੋਭਦੇ ਹਨ ਆਤਮਕ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਸੋਭਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ॥੧॥
ਸਾ ਗੁਣਵੰਤੀ ਸਾ ਵਡਭਾਗਣਿ ॥
saa gunavantee saa vaddabhaagan |
She is virtuous, and she is very fortunate
ਜੇਹੜੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਬਣ ਜਾਏ, ਉਹ ਸਭ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਾਲਕ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ,
ਪੁਤ੍ਰਵੰਤੀ ਸੀਲਵੰਤਿ ਸੋਹਾਗਣਿ ॥
putravantee seelavant sohaagan |
she is blessed with sons and tender-hearted. The happy soul-bride is loved by her Husband.
ਉਹ (ਆਤਮ-ਗਿਆਨ-ਰੂਪ) ਪੁੱਤਰ ਵਾਲੀ, ਚੰਗੇ ਸੁਭਾਉ ਵਾਲੀ ਤੇ ਸੁਹਾਗ-ਭਾਗ ਵਾਲੀ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਰੂਪਵੰਤਿ ਸਾ ਸੁਘੜਿ ਬਿਚਖਣਿ ਜੋ ਧਨ ਕੰਤ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥
roopavant saa sugharr bichakhan jo dhan kant piaaree jeeo |2|
She is beautiful, wise, and clever. That soul-bride is the beloved of her Husband Lord. ||2||
ਉਸ ਦਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸੁਚੱਜੀ ਘਾੜਤ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਮਾਲਕ ਤੇ ਚੰਗੀ ਸੂਝ ਦੀ ਮਾਲਕ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਅਚਾਰਵੰਤਿ ਸਾਈ ਪਰਧਾਨੇ ॥
achaaravant saaee paradhaane |
She is well-mannered, noble and distinguished.
ਉਸ ਦਾ ਆਚਰਨ ਉੱਚਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ (ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ) ਮੰਨੀ-ਪ੍ਰਮੰਨੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ,
ਸਭ ਸਿੰਗਾਰ ਬਣੇ ਤਿਸੁ ਗਿਆਨੇ ॥
sabh singaar bane tis giaane |
She is decorated and adorned with wisdom.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਸਾਂਝ ਦਾ ਸਦਕਾ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਗੁਣ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਨੂੰ ਸਵਾਰ ਦੇਂਦੇ ਹਨ,
ਸਾ ਕੁਲਵੰਤੀ ਸਾ ਸਭਰਾਈ ਜੋ ਪਿਰਿ ਕੈ ਰੰਗਿ ਸਵਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥
saa kulavantee saa sabharaaee jo pir kai rang savaaree jeeo |3|
She is from a most respected family she is the queen, adorned with the Love of her Husband Lord. ||3||
ਉਹ ਉੱਚੀ ਕੁਲ ਵਾਲੀ ਸਮਝੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਜੇਹੜੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ-ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ (ਰੰਗੀਜ ਕੇ) ਸੋਹਣੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਮਹਿਮਾ ਤਿਸ ਕੀ ਕਹਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਏ ॥
mahimaa tis kee kehan na jaae |
Her glory cannot be described
ਉਸ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਬਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ,
ਜੋ ਪਿਰਿ ਮੇਲਿ ਲਈ ਅੰਗਿ ਲਾਏ ॥
jo pir mel lee ang laae |
she melts in the Embrace of her Husband Lord.
ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ।
