ਸਬਦਿ ਰਤੀ ਸੋਹਾਗਣੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਭਾਇ ਪਿਆਰਿ ॥
sabad ratee sohaaganee satigur kai bhaae piaar |
The happy soul-bride is attuned to the Word of the Shabad she is in love with the True Guru.
ਜੀਊਂਦੇ ਖਸਮ ਵਾਲੀ (ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਜੀਵ-) ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ (ਉਹ ਹੈ ਜੋ) ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ-ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿਚ-
ਸਦਾ ਰਾਵੇ ਪਿਰੁ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਚੈ ਪ੍ਰੇਮਿ ਪਿਆਰਿ ॥
sadaa raave pir aapanaa sachai prem piaar |
She continually enjoys and ravishes her Beloved, with true love and affection.
ਸਦਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਰੀ-ਖਸਮ (ਦੀ ਯਾਦ) ਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਅਤਿ ਸੁਆਲਿਉ ਸੁੰਦਰੀ ਸੋਭਾਵੰਤੀ ਨਾਰਿ ॥

She is such a loveable, beautiful and noble woman.
ਉਹ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਨਾਰੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਾਲੀ ਤੇ ਸੋਭਾ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮਿ ਸੋਹਾਗਣੀ ਮੇਲੀ ਮੇਲਣਹਾਰਿ ॥੨॥
naanak naam sohaaganee melee melanahaar |2|
O Nanak, through the Naam, the happy soul-bride unites with the Lord of Union. ||2||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ (ਜੁੜੀ ਹੋਣ ਕਰਕੇ) (ਗੁਰਮੁਖ) ਸੋਹਾਗਣ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਲਣਹਾਰ ਹਰੀ ਨੇ (ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਚ) ਮਿਲਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੨॥

ਹਰਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਭ ਕਰਹਿ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਜਿਨਿ ਫਾਥੇ ਕਾਢਿਆ ॥
har teree sabh kareh usatat jin faathe kaadtiaa |
Lord, everyone sings Your Praises. You have freed us from bondage.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਸਭ ਜੀਵ ਤੇਰੀ (ਹੀ) ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਸ ਤੂੰ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਮਾਇਆ ਵਿਚ) ਫਸਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੱਢਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਹਰਿ ਤੁਧਨੋ ਕਰਹਿ ਸਭ ਨਮਸਕਾਰੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਪਾਪੈ ਤੇ ਰਾਖਿਆ ॥
har tudhano kareh sabh namasakaar jin paapai te raakhiaa |
Lord, everyone bows in reverence to You. You have saved us from our sinful ways.
ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਸਭ ਜੀਵ ਤੇਰੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਸਿਰ ਨਵਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਸ ਤੂੰ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਪਾਪਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਹਰਿ ਨਿਮਾਣਿਆ ਤੂੰ ਮਾਣੁ ਹਰਿ ਡਾਢੀ ਹੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਡਾਢਿਆ ॥
har nimaaniaa toon maan har ddaadtee hoon toon ddaadtiaa |
Lord, You are the Honor of the dishonored. Lord, You are the Strongest of the strong.
ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਤੇ ਆਦਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦਾ, ਤੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਣ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈਂ। ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਤੂੰ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵਧੀਕ ਡਾਢਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਹਰਿ ਅਹੰਕਾਰੀਆ ਮਾਰਿ ਨਿਵਾਏ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਮੂੜ ਸਾਧਿਆ ॥
har ahankaareea maar nivaae manamukh moorr saadhiaa |
The Lord beats down the egocentrics and corrects the foolish, self-willed manmukhs.
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਅਹੰਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ (ਭਾਵ, ਬਿਪਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਪਾ ਕੇ) ਨਿਵਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਮੂਰਖ ਮਨਮੁਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਧੇ ਰਾਹੇ ਪਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤਾ ਦੇਇ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਗਰੀਬ ਅਨਾਥਿਆ ॥੧੭॥
har bhagataa dee vaddiaaee gareeb anaathiaa |17|
The Lord bestows glorious greatness on His devotees, the poor, and the lost souls. ||17||
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਗਰੀਬ ਤੇ ਅਨਾਥ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਦਰ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧੭॥

Salok, Third Mehl:
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਭਾਣੈ ਜੋ ਚਲੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਵਡੀ ਹੋਇ ॥
satigur kai bhaanai jo chalai tis vaddiaaee vaddee hoe |
One who walks in harmony with the Will of the True Guru, obtains the greatest glory.
ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਭਾਣੇ ਵਿਚ ਜੀਵਨ ਬਤੀਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ (ਹਰੀ ਦੀ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਵਿਚ) ਬੜਾ ਆਦਰ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਉਤਮੁ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਮੇਟਿ ਨ ਸਕੈ ਕੋਇ ॥
har kaa naam utam man vasai mett na sakai koe |
The Exalted Name of the Lord abides in his mind, and no one can take it away.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਉੱਤਮ ਨਾਮ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਘਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਟਿਕਦਾ ਹੈ), ਤੇ ਕੋਈ (ਮਾਇਕ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਉੱਤਮ 'ਨਾਮ' ਦੇ ਸੰਸਕਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਦੂਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ।
ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰੇ ਜਿਸੁ ਆਪਣੀ ਤਿਸੁ ਕਰਮਿ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਹੋਇ ॥
kirapaa kare jis aapanee tis karam paraapat hoe |
That person, upon whom the Lord bestows His Grace, receives His Mercy.
ਜਿਸ ਤੇ (ਹਰੀ ਆਪ) ਆਪਣੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰੇ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਮਿਹਰ ਸਦਕਾ (ਉੱਤਮ ਨਾਮ) ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਕਾਰਣੁ ਕਰਤੇ ਵਸਿ ਹੈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਬੂਝੈ ਕੋਇ ॥੧॥
naanak kaaran karate vas hai guramukh boojhai koe |1|
O Nanak, creativity is under the control of the Creator how rare are those who, as Gurmukh, realize this! ||1||
(ਪਰ ਨਾਮ-ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਨ, ਭਾਵ, ਭਾਣਾ ਮੰਨਣ ਦਾ ਉੱਦਮ, ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਸ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ), ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਕੋਈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਜੀਊੜਾ ਇਹ ਭੇਦ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਕਾਰਣ ਸਿਰਜਨਹਾਰ ਦੇ ਵੱਸ ਵਿਚ ਹੈ ॥੧॥

Third Mehl:
ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਿਨੀ ਆਰਾਧਿਆ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਲਿਵ ਤਾਰ ॥
naanak har naam jinee aaraadhiaa anadin har liv taar |
O Nanak, those who worship and adore the Lord's Name night and day, vibrate the String of the Lord's Love.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਇਕ-ਰਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ,
ਮਾਇਆ ਬੰਦੀ ਖਸਮ ਕੀ ਤਿਨ ਅਗੈ ਕਮਾਵੈ ਕਾਰ ॥
maaeaa bandee khasam kee tin agai kamaavai kaar |
Maya, the maid-servant of our Lord and Master, serves them.
ਖਸਮ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਦਾਸੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਕਾਰ ਕਮਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਉਹ ਬੰਦੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਫਿਰਦੇ, ਮਾਇਆ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਕ ਬਣਦੀ ਹੈ।)
ਪੂਰੈ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਿ ਛੋਡਿਆ ਹੁਕਮਿ ਸਵਾਰਣਹਾਰ ॥
poorai pooraa kar chhoddiaa hukam savaaranahaar |
The Perfect One has made them perfect by the Hukam of His Command, they are embellished.
(ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਸਵਾਰਣਵਾਲੇ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ) ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਵਿਚ ਪੂਰੇ (ਗੁਰੂ) ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਨ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ (ਤੇ ਉਹ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਡੋਲਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ।)
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਜਿਨਿ ਬੁਝਿਆ ਤਿਨਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਮੋਖ ਦੁਆਰੁ ॥
gur parasaadee jin bujhiaa tin paaeaa mokh duaar |
By Guru's Grace, they understand Him, and they find the gate of salvation.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ (ਇਹ ਭੇਤ) ਸਮਝ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਦਾ ਦਰ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਮਨਮੁਖ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਨ ਜਾਣਨੀ ਤਿਨ ਮਾਰੇ ਜਮ ਜੰਦਾਰੁ ॥
manamukh hukam na jaananee tin maare jam jandaar |
The self-willed manmukhs do not know the Lord's Command they are beaten down by the Messenger of Death.
ਮਨਮੁਖ ਬੰਦੇ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ) ਹੁਕਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਛਾਣਦੇ, (ਇਸ ਕਰਕੇ) ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਾਲਮ ਜਮ ਦੰਡ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਿਨੀ ਅਰਾਧਿਆ ਤਿਨੀ ਤਰਿਆ ਭਉਜਲੁ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ॥
guramukh jinee araadhiaa tinee tariaa bhaujal sansaar |
But the Gurmukhs, who worship and adore the Lord, cross over the terrifying world-ocean.
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕੀਤਾ, ਉਹ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਾਗਰ ਨੂੰ ਤਰ ਗਏ ਹਨ,
ਸਭਿ ਅਉਗਣ ਗੁਣੀ ਮਿਟਾਇਆ ਗੁਰੁ ਆਪੇ ਬਖਸਣਹਾਰੁ ॥੨॥
sabh aaugan gunee mittaaeaa gur aape bakhasanahaar |2|
All their demerits are erased, and replaced with merits. The Guru Himself is their Forgiver. ||2||
(ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ) ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ (ਭਾਵ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਗੁਣ ਪਰਗਟ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ) ਸਾਰੇ ਅਉਗੁਣ ਮਿਟਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ। ਗੁਰੂ ਬੜਾ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਿੰਦ ਹੈ ॥੨॥

Pauree:
ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਭਗਤਾ ਪਰਤੀਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਭ ਕਿਛੁ ਜਾਣਦਾ ॥
har kee bhagataa parateet har sabh kichh jaanadaa |
The Lord's devotees have faith in Him. The Lord knows everything.
ਭਗਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਉੱਤੇ (ਇਹ) ਭਰੋਸਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਹੈ।
ਹਰਿ ਜੇਵਡੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਕੋਈ ਜਾਣੁ ਹਰਿ ਧਰਮੁ ਬੀਚਾਰਦਾ ॥
har jevadd naahee koee jaan har dharam beechaaradaa |
No one is as great a Knower as the Lord the Lord administers righteous justice.
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ (ਹਿਰਦਿਆਂ ਦਾ) ਜਾਣੂ ਨਹੀਂ, (ਤੇ ਇਸੇ ਕਰਕੇ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਕਾੜਾ ਅੰਦੇਸਾ ਕਿਉ ਕੀਜੈ ਜਾ ਨਾਹੀ ਅਧਰਮਿ ਮਾਰਦਾ ॥
kaarraa andesaa kiau keejai jaa naahee adharam maaradaa |
Why should we feel any burning anxiety, since the Lord does not punish without just cause?
ਜੇ (ਇਹ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਕਿ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਅਨਿਆਉਂ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਾਰਦਾ, ਤਾਂ ਕੋਈ ਫ਼ਿਕਰ ਡਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ।
ਸਚਾ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਸਚੁ ਨਿਆਉ ਪਾਪੀ ਨਰੁ ਹਾਰਦਾ ॥
sachaa saahib sach niaau paapee nar haaradaa |
True is the Master, and True is His Justice only the sinners are defeated.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਅਭੁੱਲ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਭੀ ਅਭੁੱਲ ਹੈ, (ਇਸ 'ਮਾਰ' ਦਾ ਸਦਕਾ ਹੀ) ਪਾਪੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਪਾਪਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ) ਹਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸਾਲਾਹਿਹੁ ਭਗਤਹੁ ਕਰ ਜੋੜਿ ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤ ਜਨ ਤਾਰਦਾ ॥੧੮॥
saalaahihu bhagatahu kar jorr har bhagat jan taaradaa |18|
O devotees, praise the Lord with your palms pressed together the Lord saves His humble devotees. ||18||
ਹੇ ਭਗਤ ਜਨੋ! ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰੋ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧੮॥

ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਮਿਲਿ ਰਹਾ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਰਖਾ ਉਰਿ ਧਾਰਿ ॥
aapane preetam mil rahaa antar rakhaa ur dhaar |
Oh, if only I could meet my Beloved, and keep Him enshrined deep within my heart!
(ਮਨ ਤਾਂਘਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਨੂੰ (ਸਦਾ) ਮਿਲੀ ਰਹਾਂ, ਅੰਦਰ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਰੋ ਰੱਖਾਂ
ਸਾਲਾਹੀ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਹੇਤਿ ਪਿਆਰਿ ॥
saalaahee so prabh sadaa sadaa gur kai het piaar |
I praise that God forever and ever, through love and affection for the Guru.
ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਲਾਏ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਵਿਚ ਸਦਾ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਦੀ ਰਹਾਂ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿਸੁ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇ ਤਿਸੁ ਮੇਲਿ ਲਏ ਸਾਈ ਸੁਹਾਗਣਿ ਨਾਰਿ ॥੧॥
naanak jis nadar kare tis mel le saaee suhaagan naar |1|
O Nanak, that one upon whom He bestows His Glance of Grace is united with Him such a person is the true soul-bride of the Lord. ||1||
(ਪਰ) ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਸ ਵਲ (ਉਹ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਨਾਲ) ਤੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ (ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ) ਮੇਲਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਉਹੋ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਜੀਊਂਦੇ ਸਾਂਈ ਵਾਲੀ (ਅਖਵਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ) ॥੧॥

Third Mehl:
ਗੁਰ ਸੇਵਾ ਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਈਐ ਜਾ ਕਉ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇਇ ॥
gur sevaa te har paaeeai jaa kau nadar karee |
Serving the Guru, the Lord is obtained, when He bestows His Glance of Grace.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜਿਸ (ਜੀਵ) ਤੇ ਮਿਹਰ ਦੀ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ (ਜੀਵ) ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਦੱਸੀ ਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਮਾਣਸ ਤੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਭਏ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਨਾਮੁ ਹਰੇ ॥
maanas te devate bhe dhiaaeaa naam hare |
They are transformed from humans into angels, meditating on the Naam, the Name of the Lord.
ਹਰੀ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਜੀਵ ਮਨੁੱਖ (-ਸੁਭਾਵ) ਤੋਂ ਦੇਵਤਾ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਹਉਮੈ ਮਾਰਿ ਮਿਲਾਇਅਨੁ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਤਰੇ ॥
haumai maar milaaeian gur kai sabad tare |
They conquer their egotism and merge with the Lord they are saved through the Word of the Guru's Shabad.
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਹਉਮੈ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਇਅਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਆਪਣੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰੇ ॥੨॥

O Nanak, they merge imperceptibly into the Lord, who has bestowed His Favor upon them. ||2||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਡੋਲ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ॥੨॥

ਹਰਿ ਆਪਣੀ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰਾਇ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਵੇਖਾਲੀਅਨੁ ॥
har aapanee bhagat karaae vaddiaaee vekhaaleean |
The Lord Himself inspires us to worship Him He reveals His Glorious Greatness.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ (ਭਗਤਾਂ ਜਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਾ ਕੇ (ਭਗਤੀ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ) ਵਡਿਆਈ ਵਿਖਾਲੀ ਹੈ।
ਆਪਣੀ ਆਪਿ ਕਰੇ ਪਰਤੀਤਿ ਆਪੇ ਸੇਵ ਘਾਲੀਅਨੁ ॥
aapanee aap kare parateet aape sev ghaaleean |
He Himself inspires us to place our faith in Him. Thus He performs His Own Service.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ (ਭਗਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ) ਆਪਣਾ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਆਪ (ਉਤਪੰਨ) ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਰਾਈ ਹੈ।
