ਹਰਿ ਭਰਿਪੁਰੇ ਰਹਿਆ ॥ ਜਲਿ ਥਲੇ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ॥ ਨਿਤ ਗਾਈਐ ਹਰਿ ਦੂਖ ਬਿਸਾਰਨੋ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
har bharipure rahiaa | jal thale raam naam | nit gaaeeai har dookh bisaarano |1| rahaau |
The Lord is totally permeating and pervading everywhere The Name of the Lord is pervading the water and the land. So sing continuously of the Lord, the Dispeller of pain. ||1||Pause||
ਜੋ (ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ) ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜੋ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਿਚ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਹੈ, ਜੋ (ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ) ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਹਰੀ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦਾ ਗੀਤ ਸਦਾ ਗਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਹਰਿ ਕੀਆ ਹੈ ਸਫਲ ਜਨਮੁ ਹਮਾਰਾ ॥
har keea hai safal janam hamaaraa |
The Lord has made my life fruitful and rewarding.
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਕਾਮਯਾਬ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ,
ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਦੂਖ ਬਿਸਾਰਨਹਾਰਾ ॥
har japiaa har dookh bisaaranahaaraa |
I meditate on the Lord, the Dispeller of pain.
(ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ) ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਿਆ ਹਾਂ, ਜੋ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ।
ਗੁਰੁ ਭੇਟਿਆ ਹੈ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਦਾਤਾ ॥
gur bhettiaa hai mukat daataa |
I have met the Guru, the Giver of liberation.
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਖ਼ਲਾਸੀ ਦਿਵਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਪਿਆ,
ਹਰਿ ਕੀਈ ਹਮਾਰੀ ਸਫਲ ਜਾਤਾ ॥
har keeee hamaaree safal jaataa |
The Lord has made my life's journey fruitful and rewarding.
(ਇਸ ਕਰਕੇ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਜੀਵਨ-ਜਾਤ੍ਰਾ ਕਾਮਯਾਬ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ।
ਮਿਲਿ ਸੰਗਤੀ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਨੋ ॥੧॥

Joining the Sangat, the Holy Congregation, I sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ||1||
(ਹੁਣ) ਮੈਂ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੧॥
ਮਨ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਕਰਿ ਆਸਾ ॥
man raam naam kar aasaa |
O mortal, place your hopes in the Name of the Lord,
ਹੇ (ਮੇਰੇ) ਮਨ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਉਤੇ ਹੀ ਡੋਰੀ ਰੱਖ,
ਭਾਉ ਦੂਜਾ ਬਿਨਸਿ ਬਿਨਾਸਾ ॥
bhaau doojaa binas binaasaa |
and your love of duality shall simply vanish.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਨ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ (ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਮੁਕਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਵਿਚਿ ਆਸਾ ਹੋਇ ਨਿਰਾਸੀ ॥
vich aasaa hoe niraasee |
One who, in hope, remains unattached to hope,
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ-ਕਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਸੋ ਜਨੁ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਸੀ ॥
so jan miliaa har paasee |
such a humble being meets with his Lord.
ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਕੋਈ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਨੋ ॥
koee raam naam gun gaavano |
And one who sings the Glorious Praises of the Lord's Name
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਤਿਸੁ ਪਗਿ ਲਾਵਨੋ ॥੨॥੧॥੭॥੪॥੬॥੭॥੧੭॥

ਰਾਗ ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ, ਘਰ ੧ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਚਾਰ-ਬੰਦਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਬਾਣੀ।
ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਨਦਰੀ ਆਵੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਸਿਉ ਮੋਹੁ ॥
nadaree aavai tis siau mohu |
He is attached to what he sees.
ਹੇ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ! ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਦਿੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰਾ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਸਦਾ ਮੋਹ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਕਿਉ ਮਿਲੀਐ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਤੋਹਿ ॥

How can I meet You, O Imperishable God?
(ਪਰ ਤੂੰ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ) ਤੈਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਿਲਾਂ?
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਮੋਹਿ ਮਾਰਗਿ ਪਾਵਹੁ ॥
kar kirapaa mohi maarag paavahu |
Have Mercy upon me, and place me upon the Path
(ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!) ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ (ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਸਹੀ) ਰਸਤੇ ਉਤੇ ਤੋਰ,
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਕੈ ਅੰਚਲਿ ਲਾਵਹੁ ॥੧॥
saadhasangat kai anchal laavahu |1|
let me be attached to the hem of the robe of the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. ||1||
ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਦੇ ਲੜ ਨਾਲ ਲਾ ਦੇ ॥੧॥
ਕਿਉ ਤਰੀਐ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ॥

How can I cross over the poisonous world-ocean?
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਇਹ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਮਾਇਆ (ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਲਹਿਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਪੂਰ) ਹੈ (ਇਸ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਕਿਵੇਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਿਆ ਜਾਏ?
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਬੋਹਿਥੁ ਪਾਵੈ ਪਾਰਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

The True Guru is the boat to carry us across. ||1||Pause||
(ਉੱਤਰ-) ਗੁਰੂ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਹੈ (ਗੁਰੂ ਇਸ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਪਵਨ ਝੁਲਾਰੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇਇ ॥
pavan jhulaare maaeaa dee |
The wind of Maya blows and shakes us,
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਹਵਾ (ਵਾਂਗ) ਮਾਇਆ (ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਹੁਲਾਰੇ ਦੇਂਦੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ,
ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਭਗਤ ਸਦਾ ਥਿਰੁ ਸੇਇ ॥
har ke bhagat sadaa thir see |
but the Lord's devotees remain ever-stable.
(ਇਹਨਾਂ ਹੁਲਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਸਿਰਫ਼) ਉਹੀ ਬੰਦੇ ਅਡੋਲ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜੇਹੜੇ ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਹਰਖ ਸੋਗ ਤੇ ਰਹਹਿ ਨਿਰਾਰਾ ॥
harakh sog te raheh niraaraa |
They remain unaffected by pleasure and pain.
ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀ ਗ਼ਮੀ (ਦੇ ਹੁਲਾਰਿਆਂ) ਤੋਂ ਵੱਖਰੇ (ਨਿਰਲੇਪ) ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ,
ਸਿਰ ਊਪਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਰਖਵਾਰਾ ॥੨॥
sir aoopar aap guroo rakhavaaraa |2|
The Guru Himself is the Savior above their heads. ||2||
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਉਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਆਪ ਰਾਖੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਪਾਇਆ ਵੇੜੁ ਮਾਇਆ ਸਰਬ ਭੁਇਅੰਗਾ ॥
paaeaa verr maaeaa sarab bhueiangaa |
Maya, the snake, holds all in her coils.
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਸੱਪ (ਵਾਂਗ) ਮਾਇਆ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਵਲੇਵਾਂ ਪਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਹਉਮੈ ਪਚੇ ਦੀਪਕ ਦੇਖਿ ਪਤੰਗਾ ॥
haumai pache deepak dekh patangaa |
They burn to death in egotism, like the moth lured by seeing the flame.
ਜੀਵ ਹਉਮੈ (ਦੀ ਅੱਗ) ਵਿਚ ਸੜੇ ਪਏ ਹਨ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਦੀਵਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਪਤੰਗੇ ਸੜਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਸਗਲ ਸੀਗਾਰ ਕਰੇ ਨਹੀ ਪਾਵੈ ॥
sagal seegaar kare nahee paavai |
They make all sorts of decorations, but they do not find the Lord.
(ਮਾਇਆ-ਵੇੜ੍ਹਿਆ ਜੀਵ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਬਾਹਰਲੇ ਭੇਖ ਆਦਿਕ ਦੇ) ਸਾਰੇ ਸਿੰਗਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹੇ, (ਫਿਰ ਭੀ ਉਹ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ।
ਜਾ ਹੋਇ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲੁ ਤਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲਾਵੈ ॥੩॥
jaa hoe kripaal taa guroo milaavai |3|
When the Guru becomes Merciful, He leads them to meet the Lord. ||3||
ਜਦੋਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ (ਜੀਵ ਉੱਤੇ) ਦਇਆਵਾਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਹਉ ਫਿਰਉ ਉਦਾਸੀ ਮੈ ਇਕੁ ਰਤਨੁ ਦਸਾਇਆ ॥
hau firau udaasee mai ik ratan dasaaeaa |
I wander around, sad and depressed, seeking the jewel of the One Lord.
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਮੈਂ (ਭੀ) ਨਾਮ-ਰਤਨ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਲਦੀ ਭਾਲਦੀ (ਬਾਹਰ) ਉਦਾਸ ਫਿਰ ਰਹੀ ਸਾਂ,
ਨਿਰਮੋਲਕੁ ਹੀਰਾ ਮਿਲੈ ਨ ਉਪਾਇਆ ॥
niramolak heeraa milai na upaaeaa |
This priceless jewel is not obtained by any efforts.
ਪਰ ਉਹ ਨਾਮ-ਹੀਰਾ ਅਮੋਲਕ ਹੈ ਉਹ (ਬਾਹਰਲੇ ਭੇਖ ਆਦਿਕ) ਉਪਾਵਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦਾ।
ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਮੰਦਰੁ ਤਿਸੁ ਮਹਿ ਲਾਲੁ ॥
har kaa mandar tis meh laal |
That jewel is within the body, the Temple of the Lord.
(ਇਹ ਸਰੀਰ ਹੀ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਦਾ ਘਰ ਹੈ, ਇਸ (ਸਰੀਰ) ਵਿਚ ਉਹ ਲਾਲ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਗੁਰਿ ਖੋਲਿਆ ਪੜਦਾ ਦੇਖਿ ਭਈ ਨਿਹਾਲੁ ॥੪॥
gur kholiaa parradaa dekh bhee nihaal |4|
The Guru has torn away the veil of illusion, and beholding the jewel, I am delighted. ||4||
ਜਦੋਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ (ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਭਰਮ-ਭੁਲੇਖੇ ਦਾ) ਪਰਦਾ ਖੋਲ੍ਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਮੈਂ (ਉਸ ਲਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਹੀ) ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਲੂੰ ਲੂੰ ਖਿੜ ਗਈ ॥੪॥
ਜਿਨਿ ਚਾਖਿਆ ਤਿਸੁ ਆਇਆ ਸਾਦੁ ॥
jin chaakhiaa tis aaeaa saad |
One who has tasted it, comes to know its flavor
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ (ਨਾਮ-ਰਸ) ਚੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ (ਹੀ) ਸੁਆਦ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਜਿਉ ਗੂੰਗਾ ਮਨ ਮਹਿ ਬਿਸਮਾਦੁ ॥
jiau goongaa man meh bisamaad |
he is like the mute, whose mind is filled with wonder.
(ਪਰ ਉਹ ਇਹ ਸੁਆਦ ਦੱਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ) ਜਿਵੇਂ ਗੁੰਗਾ (ਕੋਈ ਸੁਆਦਲਾ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਖਾ ਕੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ ਉਂਞ ਆਪਣੇ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਗਦ-ਗਦ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਆਨਦ ਰੂਪੁ ਸਭੁ ਨਦਰੀ ਆਇਆ ॥
aanad roop sabh nadaree aaeaa |
I see the Lord, the source of bliss, everywhere.
ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਆਨੰਦ ਦਾ ਸੋਮਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਆਖਿ ਸਮਾਇਆ ॥੫॥੧॥
jan naanak har gun aakh samaaeaa |5|1|
Servant Nanak speaks the Glorious Praises of the Lord, and merges in Him. ||5||1||
ਹੇ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾ ਗਾ ਕੇ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਚ) ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੫॥੧॥

Bilaaval, Fifth Mehl:
ਸਰਬ ਕਲਿਆਣ ਕੀਏ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ॥
sarab kaliaan kee guradev |
The Divine Guru has blessed me with total happiness.
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਗੁਰੂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖ ਦੇ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਸੇਵਕੁ ਅਪਨੀ ਲਾਇਓ ਸੇਵ ॥
sevak apanee laaeo sev |
He has linked His servant to His service.
ਜਿਸ ਸੇਵਕ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੇਵਾ-ਭਗਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਲਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਬਿਘਨੁ ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ਜਪਿ ਅਲਖ ਅਭੇਵ ॥੧॥
bighan na laagai jap alakh abhev |1|
No obstacles block my path, meditating on the incomprehensible, inscrutable Lord. ||1||
ਅਲੱਖ ਅਤੇ ਅਭੇਵ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪ ਕੇ (ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ) ਰੁਕਾਵਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦੀ ॥੧॥
ਧਰਤਿ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਭਈ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਏ ॥
dharat puneet bhee gun gaae |
The soil has been sanctified, singing the Glories of His Praises.
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜੇਹੜਾ ਭੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਹਿਰਦਾ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਦੁਰਤੁ ਗਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਏ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
durat geaa har naam dhiaae |1| rahaau |
The sins are eradicated, meditating on the Name of the Lord. ||1||Pause||
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਭੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਪਾਪ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਸਭਨੀ ਥਾਂਈ ਰਵਿਆ ਆਪਿ ॥
sabhanee thaanee raviaa aap |
He Himself is pervading everywhere
(ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੇਵਾ-ਭਗਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਜੋੜਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੀ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਆਦਿ ਜੁਗਾਦਿ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਵਡ ਪਰਤਾਪੁ ॥
aad jugaad jaa kaa vadd parataap |
from the very beginning, and throughout the ages, His Glory has been radiantly manifest.
ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਤੇਜ-ਪਰਤਾਪ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਜੁਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਬੜਾ ਚਲਿਆ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਨ ਹੋਇ ਸੰਤਾਪੁ ॥੨॥

By Guru's Grace, sorrow does not touch me. ||2||
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਦੁੱਖ-ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਪੋਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੨॥
ਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਚਰਨ ਲਗੇ ਮਨਿ ਮੀਠੇ ॥
gur ke charan lage man meetthe |
The Guru's Feet seem so sweet to my mind.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ (ਸੋਹਣੇ) ਚਰਨ (ਆਪਣੇ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਨਿਰਬਿਘਨ ਹੋਇ ਸਭ ਥਾਂਈ ਵੂਠੇ ॥
nirabighan hoe sabh thaanee vootthe |
He is unobstructed, dwelling everywhere.
ਉਹ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਭੀ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ) ਰੁਕਾਵਟ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸਭਿ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਏ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਤੂਠੇ ॥੩॥
sabh sukh paae satigur tootthe |3|
I found total peace, when the Guru was pleased. ||3||
ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਇਆਵਾਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ, ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਏ ਰਖਵਾਲੇ ॥
paarabraham prabh bhe rakhavaale |
The Supreme Lord God has become my Savior.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਜੀ ਸਦਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਖੇ ਬਣਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਜਿਥੈ ਕਿਥੈ ਦੀਸਹਿ ਨਾਲੇ ॥
jithai kithai deeseh naale |
Wherever I look, I see Him there with me.
ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਗ-ਸੰਗ ਦਿੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਖਸਮਿ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲੇ ॥੪॥੨॥
naanak daas khasam pratipaale |4|2|
O Nanak, the Lord and Master protects and cherishes His slaves. ||4||2||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਾਸਾਂ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੨॥
ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥

Bilaaval, Fifth Mehl:
ਸੁਖ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੇਰੇ ॥
sukh nidhaan preetam prabh mere |
You are the treasure of peace, O my Beloved God.
ਹੇ ਸੁਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!
