ਕਿਉ ਨ ਮਰੀਜੈ ਰੋਇ ਜਾ ਲਗੁ ਚਿਤਿ ਨ ਆਵਹੀ ॥੧॥
kiau na mareejai roe jaa lag chit na aavahee |1|
I might as well just die crying, if You will not come into my mind. ||1||
ਜਦ ਤਕ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਵਿਚ ਨਾਹ ਵਸੇਂ, ਕਿਉਂ ਨ ਰੋ ਕੇ ਮਰਾਂ? (ਤੈਨੂੰ ਵਿਸਾਰ ਕੇ ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਖਪੀਦਾ ਹੈ) ॥੧॥

Second Mehl:
ਜਾਂ ਸੁਖੁ ਤਾ ਸਹੁ ਰਾਵਿਓ ਦੁਖਿ ਭੀ ਸੰਮੑਾਲਿਓਇ ॥
jaan sukh taa sahu raavio dukh bhee samaalioe |
When there is peace and pleasure, that is the time to remember your Husband Lord. In times of suffering and pain, remember Him then as well.
ਜੇ ਸੁਖ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਭੀ ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰੀਏ, ਦੁੱਖ ਵਿਚ ਭੀ ਮਾਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਰੱਖੀਏ,
ਨਾਨਕੁ ਕਹੈ ਸਿਆਣੀਏ ਇਉ ਕੰਤ ਮਿਲਾਵਾ ਹੋਇ ॥੨॥
naanak kahai siaanee iau kant milaavaa hoe |2|
Says Nanak, O wise bride, this is the way to meet your Husband Lord. ||2||
ਤਾਂ, ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਹੇ ਸਿਆਣੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀਏ! ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਖਸਮ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਲ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥

ਹਉ ਕਿਆ ਸਾਲਾਹੀ ਕਿਰਮ ਜੰਤੁ ਵਡੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥

I am a worm - how can I praise You, O Lord Your glorious greatness is so great!
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਂ ਇਕ ਕੀੜਾ ਜਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ, ਤੇਰੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਵੱਡੀ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੀਹ ਕੀਹ ਗੁਣ ਬਿਆਨ ਕਰਾਂ?
ਤੂ ਅਗਮ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਅਗੰਮੁ ਹੈ ਆਪਿ ਲੈਹਿ ਮਿਲਾਈ ॥
too agam deaal agam hai aap laihi milaaee |
You are inaccessible, merciful and unapproachable You Yourself unite us with Yourself.
ਤੂੰ ਬੜਾ ਹੀ ਦਿਆਲ ਹੈਂ, ਅਪਹੁੰਚ ਹੈਂ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਮੈ ਤੁਝ ਬਿਨੁ ਬੇਲੀ ਕੋ ਨਹੀ ਤੂ ਅੰਤਿ ਸਖਾਈ ॥
mai tujh bin belee ko nahee too ant sakhaaee |
I have no other friend except You in the end, You alone will be my Companion and Support.
ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੈਥੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਬੇਲੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ, ਆਖ਼ਰ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਾਥੀ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਪੁਕਾਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਜੋ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਣਾਗਤੀ ਤਿਨ ਲੈਹਿ ਛਡਾਈ ॥
jo teree saranaagatee tin laihi chhaddaaee |
You save those who enter Your Sanctuary.
ਜੋ ਜੋ ਜੀਵ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਨ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਹਉਮੈ ਦੇ ਗੇੜ ਤੋਂ) ਬਚਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਵੇਪਰਵਾਹੁ ਹੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਤਿਲੁ ਨ ਤਮਾਈ ॥੨੦॥੧॥
naanak veparavaahu hai tis til na tamaaee |20|1|
O Nanak, He is care-free He has no greed at all. ||20||1||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਬੇ-ਮੁਥਾਜ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਰਤਾ ਭੀ ਕੋਈ ਲਾਲਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ॥੨੦॥੧॥

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਅਵਤਰਿ ਆਇ ਕਹਾ ਤੁਮ ਕੀਨਾ ॥

Since your birth, what have you done?
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਕੇ ਜਨਮ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਤੂੰ ਕੀਹ ਕੀਤਾ? (ਭਾਵ, ਤੂੰ ਕੁਝ ਭੀ ਨਾਹ ਖੱਟਿਆ)
ਰਾਮ ਕੋ ਨਾਮੁ ਨ ਕਬਹੂ ਲੀਨਾ ॥੧॥
raam ko naam na kabahoo leenaa |1|
You have never even chanted the Name of the Lord. ||1||
ਤੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ (ਤਾਂ) ਕਦੇ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ॥੧॥
ਰਾਮ ਨ ਜਪਹੁ ਕਵਨ ਮਤਿ ਲਾਗੇ ॥
raam na japahu kavan mat laage |
You have not meditated on the Lord what thoughts are you attached to?
ਤੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ, ਕਿਹੜੀ (ਕੋਝੀ) ਮੱਤੇ ਲੱਗਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈਂ?
ਮਰਿ ਜਇਬੇ ਕਉ ਕਿਆ ਕਰਹੁ ਅਭਾਗੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
mar jeibe kau kiaa karahu abhaage |1| rahaau |
What preparations are you making for your death, O unfortunate one? ||1||Pause||
ਹੇ ਭਾਗ-ਹੀਣ ਬੰਦੇ! ਤੂੰ ਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਲਈ ਕੀਹ ਤਿਆਰੀ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ? ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਦੁਖ ਸੁਖ ਕਰਿ ਕੈ ਕੁਟੰਬੁ ਜੀਵਾਇਆ ॥
dukh sukh kar kai kuttanb jeevaaeaa |
Through pain and pleasure, you have taken care of your family.
ਕਈ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਔਖਿਆਈਆਂ ਸਹਾਰ ਕੇ ਤੂੰ (ਸਾਰੀ ਉਮਰ) ਕੁਟੰਬ ਹੀ ਪਾਲਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ,
ਮਰਤੀ ਬਾਰ ਇਕਸਰ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੨॥
maratee baar ikasar dukh paaeaa |2|
But at the time of death, you shall have to endure the agony all alone. ||2||
ਪਰ ਮਰਨ ਵੇਲੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਲਿਆਂ ਹੀ (ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਗ਼ਲਤੀਆਂ ਬਦਲੇ) ਦੁੱਖ ਸਹਾਰਨਾ ਪਿਆ (ਭਾਵ, ਪਏਗਾ) ॥੨॥
ਕੰਠ ਗਹਨ ਤਬ ਕਰਨ ਪੁਕਾਰਾ ॥
kantth gehan tab karan pukaaraa |
When you are seized by the neck, then you shall cry out.
(ਜਦੋਂ ਜਮਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ) ਗਲੋਂ ਆ ਫੜਿਆ (ਭਾਵ, ਜਦੋਂ ਮੌਤ ਸਿਰ ਤੇ ਆ ਗਈ), ਤਦੋਂ ਰੋਣ ਪੁਕਾਰਨ (ਤੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਲਾਭ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ)
ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਆਗੇ ਤੇ ਨ ਸੰਮੑਾਰਾ ॥੩॥੧॥
keh kabeer aage te na samaaraa |3|1|
Says Kabeer, why didn't you remember the Lord before this? ||3||1||
ਕਬੀਰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- (ਉਹ ਵੇਲਾ ਆਉਣ ਤੋਂ) ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਤੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ? ॥੩॥੧॥

ਥਰਹਰ ਕੰਪੈ ਬਾਲਾ ਜੀਉ ॥

My innocent soul trembles and shakes.
(ਇਤਨੀ ਉਮਰ ਭਗਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਹੁਣ) ਮੇਰੀ ਅੰਞਾਣ ਜਿੰਦ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਹਿਮੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ,
ਨਾ ਜਾਨਉ ਕਿਆ ਕਰਸੀ ਪੀਉ ॥੧॥

I do not know how my Husband Lord will deal with me. ||1||
ਕਿ ਪਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ (ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ) ਕੀਹ ਸਲੂਕ ਕਰੇਗਾ ॥੧॥
ਰੈਨਿ ਗਈ ਮਤ ਦਿਨੁ ਭੀ ਜਾਇ ॥
rain gee mat din bhee jaae |
The night of my youth has passed away will the day of old age also pass away?
(ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੀ) ਜੁਆਨੀ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਲੰਘ ਗਈ ਹੈ। (ਮੈਨੂੰ ਹੁਣ ਇਹ ਡਰ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਕਿਤੇ (ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਬੁਢੇਪਾ ਭੀ ਨਾਹ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਏ।
ਭਵਰ ਗਏ ਬਗ ਬੈਠੇ ਆਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

My dark hairs, like bumble bees, have gone away, and grey hairs, like cranes, have settled upon my head. ||1||Pause||
(ਮੇਰੇ) ਕਾਲੇ ਕੇਸ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਥਾਂ) ਧੌਲੇ ਆ ਗਏ ਹਨ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਕਾਚੈ ਕਰਵੈ ਰਹੈ ਨ ਪਾਨੀ ॥

Water does not remain in the unbaked clay pot
(ਹੁਣ ਤਕ ਬੇ-ਪਰਵਾਹੀ ਵਿਚ ਖ਼ਿਆਲ ਹੀ ਨਾਹ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਸਰੀਰ ਤਾਂ ਕੱਚੇ ਭਾਂਡੇ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੈ) ਕੱਚੇ ਕੁੱਜੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਾਣੀ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿ ਸਕਦਾ।
ਹੰਸੁ ਚਲਿਆ ਕਾਇਆ ਕੁਮਲਾਨੀ ॥੨॥
hans chaliaa kaaeaa kumalaanee |2|
when the soul-swan departs, the body withers away. ||2||
(ਸੁਆਸ ਬੀਤਦੇ ਗਏ, ਹੁਣ) ਸਰੀਰ ਕੁਮਲਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ (ਜੀਵ-) ਭੌਰ ਉਡਾਰੀ ਮਾਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੈ (ਪਰ ਆਪਣਾ ਕੁੱਝ ਭੀ ਨਾਹ ਸਵਾਰਿਆ) ॥੨॥
ਕੁਆਰ ਕੰਨਿਆ ਜੈਸੇ ਕਰਤ ਸੀਗਾਰਾ ॥
kuaar kaniaa jaise karat seegaaraa |
I decorate myself like a young virgin
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕੁਆਰੀ ਲੜਕੀ ਸ਼ਿੰਗਾਰ ਕਰਦੀ ਰਹੇ,
ਕਿਉ ਰਲੀਆ ਮਾਨੈ ਬਾਝੁ ਭਤਾਰਾ ॥੩॥
kiau raleea maanai baajh bhataaraa |3|
but how can I enjoy pleasures, without my Husband Lord? ||3||
ਪਤੀ ਮਿਲਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ (ਇਹਨਾਂ ਸ਼ਿੰਗਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ) ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਅਨੰਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਆ ਸਕਦਾ, (ਤਿਵੇਂ ਮੈਂ ਭੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਉਮਰ ਨਿਰੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਤਰ ਹੀ ਆਹਰ-ਪਾਹਰ ਕੀਤੇ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸਾਰਨ ਕਰਕੇ ਕੋਈ ਆਤਮਕ ਸੁਖ ਨਾਹ ਮਿਲਿਆ) ॥੩॥
ਕਾਗ ਉਡਾਵਤ ਭੁਜਾ ਪਿਰਾਨੀ ॥
kaag uddaavat bhujaa piraanee |
My arm is tired, driving away the crows.
ਕਬੀਰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ-(ਹੇ ਪਤੀ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਹੁਣ ਤਾਂ ਆ ਮਿਲ, ਤੇਰੀ ਉਡੀਕ ਵਿਚ) ਕਾਂ ਉਡਾਂਦਿਆਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਬਾਂਹ ਭੀ ਥੱਕ ਗਈ ਹੈ,
ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਇਹ ਕਥਾ ਸਿਰਾਨੀ ॥੪॥੨॥
keh kabeer ih kathaa siraanee |4|2|
Says Kabeer, this is the way the story of my life ends. ||4||2||
(ਤੇ ਉਧਰੋਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਉਮਰ ਦੀ) ਕਹਾਣੀ ਹੀ ਮੁੱਕਣ ਤੇ ਆ ਗਈ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੨॥

ਅਮਲੁ ਸਿਰਾਨੋ ਲੇਖਾ ਦੇਨਾ ॥

Your time of service is at its end, and you will have to give your account.
(ਹੇ ਜੀਵ! ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ) ਮੁਲਾਜ਼ਮਤ ਦਾ ਸਮਾ (ਭਾਵ, ਉਮਰ ਦਾ ਨਿਯਤ ਸਮਾ) ਲੰਘ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, (ਇੱਥੇ ਜੇ ਕੁਝ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ) ਉਸ ਦਾ ਹਿਸਾਬ ਦੇਣਾ ਪਏਗਾ
ਆਏ ਕਠਿਨ ਦੂਤ ਜਮ ਲੇਨਾ ॥
aae katthin doot jam lenaa |
The hard-hearted Messenger of Death has come to take you away.
ਕਰੜੇ ਜਮ-ਦੂਤ ਲੈਣ ਆ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
ਕਿਆ ਤੈ ਖਟਿਆ ਕਹਾ ਗਵਾਇਆ ॥
kiaa tai khattiaa kahaa gavaaeaa |
What have you earned, and what have you lost?
(ਉਹ ਆਖਣਗੇ-) ਇੱਥੇ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਤੂੰ ਕੀਹ ਖੱਟੀ ਖੱਟੀ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਗਵਾਇਆ ਹੈ?
ਚਲਹੁ ਸਿਤਾਬ ਦੀਬਾਨਿ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ॥੧॥
chalahu sitaab deebaan bulaaeaa |1|
Come immediately! You are summoned to His Court! ||1||
ਛੇਤੀ ਚੱਲ, ਧਰਮਰਾਜ ਨੇ ਸੱਦਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਚਲੁ ਦਰਹਾਲੁ ਦੀਵਾਨਿ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ॥
chal darahaal deevaan bulaaeaa |
Get going! Come just as you are! You have been summoned to His Court.
ਛੇਤੀ ਚੱਲ, ਧਰਮ-ਰਾਜ ਨੇ ਸੱਦਿਆ ਹੈ
ਹਰਿ ਫੁਰਮਾਨੁ ਦਰਗਹ ਕਾ ਆਇਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
har furamaan daragah kaa aaeaa |1| rahaau |
The Order has come from the Court of the Lord. ||1||Pause||
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਕਰਉ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ਗਾਵ ਕਿਛੁ ਬਾਕੀ ॥
krau aradaas gaav kichh baakee |
I pray to the Messenger of Death: please, I still have some outstanding debts to collect in the village.
ਮੈਂ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਕੁਝ ਪਿੰਡ ਦਾ ਹਿਸਾਬ-ਕਿਤਾਬ ਰਹਿ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ,
ਲੇਉ ਨਿਬੇਰਿ ਆਜੁ ਕੀ ਰਾਤੀ ॥
leo niber aaj kee raatee |
I will collect them tonight
(ਜੇ ਆਗਿਆ ਦੇਵੋ) ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਅੱਜ ਰਾਤ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਹਿਸਾਬ ਮੁਕਾ ਲਵਾਂਗਾ,
ਕਿਛੁ ਭੀ ਖਰਚੁ ਤੁਮੑਾਰਾ ਸਾਰਉ ॥
kichh bhee kharach tumaaraa saarau |
I will also pay you something for your expenses,
ਕੁਝ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਭੀ ਖ਼ਰਚ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਕਰ ਲਵਾਂਗਾ,
ਸੁਬਹ ਨਿਵਾਜ ਸਰਾਇ ਗੁਜਾਰਉ ॥੨॥
subah nivaaj saraae gujaarau |2|
and I will recite my morning prayers on the way. ||2||
ਤੇ ਸਵੇਰ ਦੀ ਨਿਮਾਜ਼ ਰਾਹ ਵਿਚ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਲਵਾਂਗਾ (ਭਾਵ, ਬਹੁਤ ਸਵਖਤੇ ਹੀ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਤੁਰ ਪਵਾਂਗਾ) ॥੨॥
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਜਾ ਕਉ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗੁ ਲਾਗਾ ॥
saadhasang jaa kau har rang laagaa |
Blessed, blessed is the most fortunate servant of the Lord,
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਸਤਸੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਧਨੁ ਧਨੁ ਸੋ ਜਨੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਸਭਾਗਾ ॥
dhan dhan so jan purakh sabhaagaa |
Who is imbued with the Lord's Love, in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.
ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਧੰਨ ਹੈ, ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ।
ਈਤ ਊਤ ਜਨ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਹੇਲੇ ॥

Here and there, the humble servants of the Lord are always happy.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਲੋਕ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਸੌਖੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ,
ਜਨਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਜੀਤਿ ਅਮੋਲੇ ॥੩॥
janam padaarath jeet amole |3|
They win the priceless treasure of this human life. ||3||
ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਅਮੋਲਕ ਜਨਮ-ਰੂਪ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਸ਼ੈ ਨੂੰ ਜਿੱਤ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੩॥
ਜਾਗਤੁ ਸੋਇਆ ਜਨਮੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ॥
jaagat soeaa janam gavaaeaa |
When he is awake, he is sleeping, and so he loses this life.
ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜਾਗਦਾ ਹੀ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਨੀਂਦ ਵਿਚ) ਸੁੱਤਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਅਜਾਈਂ ਗਵਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ
ਮਾਲੁ ਧਨੁ ਜੋਰਿਆ ਭਇਆ ਪਰਾਇਆ ॥
maal dhan joriaa bheaa paraaeaa |
The property and wealth he has accumulated passes on to someone else.
(ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਮਾਲ ਧਨ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ (ਤਾਂ ਆਖ਼ਰ) ਬਿਗਾਨਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਕਹੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਤੇਈ ਨਰ ਭੂਲੇ ॥
kahu kabeer teee nar bhoole |
Says Kabeer, those people are deluded,
ਕਬੀਰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਖੁੰਝ ਗਏ ਹਨ,
ਖਸਮੁ ਬਿਸਾਰਿ ਮਾਟੀ ਸੰਗਿ ਰੂਲੇ ॥੪॥੩॥
khasam bisaar maattee sang roole |4|3|
who forget their Lord and Master, and roll in the dust. ||4||3||
ਉਹ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਰੁਲ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ-ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸਾਰਿਆ ॥੪॥੩॥
