ਜੀਵਤ ਲਉ ਬਿਉਹਾਰੁ ਹੈ ਜਗ ਕਉ ਤੁਮ ਜਾਨਉ ॥
jeevat lau biauhaar hai jag kau tum jaanau |
Your worldly affairs exist only as long as you are alive know this well.
(ਹੇ ਮਨ!) ਜਗਤ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਇਉਂ ਹੀ ਸਮਝ (ਕਿ ਇਥੇ) ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਤਕ ਹੀ ਵਰਤਣ-ਵਿਹਾਰ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਇ ਲੈ ਸਭ ਸੁਫਨ ਸਮਾਨਉ ॥੨॥੨॥

O Nanak, sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord everything is like a dream. ||2||2||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-) ਉਂਞ, ਇਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਸੁਪਨੇ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੀ ਹੈ। (ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਜਦ ਤਕ ਜੀਊਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਰਹੁ ॥੨॥੨॥

ਹਰਿ ਜਸੁ ਰੇ ਮਨਾ ਗਾਇ ਲੈ ਜੋ ਸੰਗੀ ਹੈ ਤੇਰੋ ॥
har jas re manaa gaae lai jo sangee hai tero |
Sing the Lord's Praises, O mind He is your only true companion.
ਹੇ ਮਨ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦਾ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਇਆ ਕਰ, ਇਹ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਹੀ ਤੇਰਾ ਅਸਲੀ ਸਾਥੀ ਹੈ।
ਅਉਸਰੁ ਬੀਤਿਓ ਜਾਤੁ ਹੈ ਕਹਿਓ ਮਾਨ ਲੈ ਮੇਰੋ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

Your time is passing away listen carefully to what I say. ||1||Pause||
ਮੇਰਾ ਬਚਨ ਮੰਨ ਲੈ। ਉਮਰ ਦਾ ਸਮਾ ਲੰਘਦਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਸੰਪਤਿ ਰਥ ਧਨ ਰਾਜ ਸਿਉ ਅਤਿ ਨੇਹੁ ਲਗਾਇਓ ॥
sanpat rath dhan raaj siau at nehu lagaaeo |
You are so in love with property, chariots, wealth and power.
ਹੇ ਮਨ! ਮਨੁੱਖ ਧਨ-ਪਦਾਰਥ, ਰਥ, ਮਾਲ, ਰਾਜ ਨਾਲ ਬੜਾ ਮੋਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਕਾਲ ਫਾਸ ਜਬ ਗਲਿ ਪਰੀ ਸਭ ਭਇਓ ਪਰਾਇਓ ॥੧॥
kaal faas jab gal paree sabh bheo paraaeo |1|
When the noose of death tightens around your neck, they will all belong to others. ||1||
ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੌਤ ਦੀ ਫਾਹੀ (ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਗਲ ਵਿਚ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਹਰੇਕ ਚੀਜ਼ ਬਿਗਾਨੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਜਾਨਿ ਬੂਝ ਕੈ ਬਾਵਰੇ ਤੈ ਕਾਜੁ ਬਿਗਾਰਿਓ ॥
jaan boojh kai baavare tai kaaj bigaario |
Know this well, O madman - you have ruined your affairs.
ਹੇ ਝੱਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ! ਇਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਭੀ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਕੰਮ ਵਿਗਾੜ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਪਾਪ ਕਰਤ ਸੁਕਚਿਓ ਨਹੀ ਨਹ ਗਰਬੁ ਨਿਵਾਰਿਓ ॥੨॥
paap karat sukachio nahee neh garab nivaario |2|
You did not restrain yourself from committing sins, and you did not eradicate your ego. ||2||
ਤੂੰ ਪਾਪ ਕਰਦਾ (ਕਦੇ) ਸੰਗਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ, ਤੂੰ (ਇਸ ਧਨ-ਪਦਾਰਥ ਦਾ) ਮਾਣ ਭੀ ਦੂਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ ॥੨॥
ਜਿਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਗੁਰ ਉਪਦੇਸਿਆ ਸੋ ਸੁਨੁ ਰੇ ਭਾਈ ॥
jih bidh gur upadesiaa so sun re bhaaee |
So listen to the Teachings imparted by the Guru, O Siblings of Destiny.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ (ਮੈਨੂੰ) ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ (ਤੂੰ ਭੀ) ਸੁਣ ਲੈ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਕਹਤ ਪੁਕਾਰਿ ਕੈ ਗਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਰਨਾਈ ॥੩॥੩॥
naanak kehat pukaar kai gahu prabh saranaaee |3|3|
Nanak proclaims: hold tight to the Protection and the Sanctuary of God. ||3||3||
ਨਾਨਕ (ਤੈਨੂੰ) ਪੁਕਾਰ ਕੇ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ-(ਕਿ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਿਆ ਰਹੁ (ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆ ਕਰ) ॥੩॥੩॥

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਬੇਦ ਕਤੇਬ ਇਫਤਰਾ ਭਾਈ ਦਿਲ ਕਾ ਫਿਕਰੁ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥
bed kateb ifataraa bhaaee dil kaa fikar na jaae |
The Vedas and the Scriptures are only make-believe, O Siblings of Destiny they do not relieve the anxiety of the heart.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! (ਵਾਦ-ਵਿਵਾਦ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਤਰ) ਵੇਦਾਂ ਕਤੇਬਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਦੇ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਵਧ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ (ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ) ਦਿਲ ਦਾ ਸਹਿਮ ਦੂਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ।
ਟੁਕੁ ਦਮੁ ਕਰਾਰੀ ਜਉ ਕਰਹੁ ਹਾਜਿਰ ਹਜੂਰਿ ਖੁਦਾਇ ॥੧॥
ttuk dam karaaree jau karahu haajir hajoor khudaae |1|
If you will only center yourself on the Lord, even for just a breath, then you shall see the Lord face-to-face, present before you. ||1||
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਪਲਕ ਭਰ ਹੀ ਟਿਕਾਓ, ਤਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਰੱਬ ਦਿੱਸੇਗਾ (ਕਿਸੇ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਤਰਕ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਏਗੀ) ॥੧॥
ਬੰਦੇ ਖੋਜੁ ਦਿਲ ਹਰ ਰੋਜ ਨਾ ਫਿਰੁ ਪਰੇਸਾਨੀ ਮਾਹਿ ॥
bande khoj dil har roj naa fir paresaanee maeh |
O human being, search your own heart every day, and do not wander around in confusion.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! (ਆਪਣੇ ਹੀ) ਦਿਲ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਖੋਜ, (ਬਹਿਸ ਮੁਬਾਹਸੇ ਦੀ) ਘਬਰਾਹਟ ਵਿਚ ਨਾਹ ਭਟਕ।
ਇਹ ਜੁ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਸਿਹਰੁ ਮੇਲਾ ਦਸਤਗੀਰੀ ਨਾਹਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
eih ju duneea sihar melaa dasatageeree naeh |1| rahaau |
This world is just a magic-show no one will be holding your hand. ||1||Pause||
ਇਹ ਜਗਤ ਇਕ ਜਾਦੂ ਜਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਇਕ ਤਮਾਸ਼ਾ ਜਿਹਾ ਹੈ, (ਇਸ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਇਸ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਵਾਦ-ਵਿਵਾਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ) ਹੱਥ-ਪੱਲੇ ਪੈਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਕੋਈ ਸ਼ੈ ਨਹੀਂ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਦਰੋਗੁ ਪੜਿ ਪੜਿ ਖੁਸੀ ਹੋਇ ਬੇਖਬਰ ਬਾਦੁ ਬਕਾਹਿ ॥
darog parr parr khusee hoe bekhabar baad bakaeh |
Reading and studying falsehood, people are happy in their ignorance, they speak nonsense.
ਬੇ-ਸਮਝ ਲੋਕ (ਅਨ-ਮਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਧਰਮ-ਪੁਸਤਕਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਇਹ) ਪੜ੍ਹ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ (ਕਿ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੋ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ) ਝੂਠ (ਹੈ), ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ ਹੋ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਬਹਿਸ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਹਕੁ ਸਚੁ ਖਾਲਕੁ ਖਲਕ ਮਿਆਨੇ ਸਿਆਮ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਨਾਹਿ ॥੨॥
hak sach khaalak khalak miaane siaam moorat naeh |2|
The True Creator Lord is diffused into His creation He is not just the dark-skinned Krishna of legends. ||2||
(ਪਰ ਉਹ ਇਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਕਿ) ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਰੱਬ ਖ਼ਲਕਤ ਵਿਚ (ਭੀ) ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਨਾਹ ਉਹ ਵੱਖਰਾ ਸੱਤਵੇਂ ਅਸਮਾਨ ਤੇ ਬੈਠਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ) ਨਾਹ ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਮੂਰਤੀ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਅਸਮਾਨ ਮੵਿਾਨੇ ਲਹੰਗ ਦਰੀਆ ਗੁਸਲ ਕਰਦਨ ਬੂਦ ॥
asamaan mayiaane lahang dareea gusal karadan bood |
Through the Tenth Gate, the stream of nectar flows take your bath in this.
(ਸਤਵੇਂ ਅਸਮਾਨ ਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਬੈਠਾ ਸਮਝਣ ਦੇ ਥਾਂ, ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਰੂਪ ਦਰਿਆ ਤੇ ਅੰਤਹਕਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਲਹਿਰਾਂ ਮਾਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਵਿਚ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਸੀ।
ਕਰਿ ਫਕਰੁ ਦਾਇਮ ਲਾਇ ਚਸਮੇ ਜਹ ਤਹਾ ਮਉਜੂਦੁ ॥੩॥
kar fakar daaeim laae chasame jeh tahaa maujood |3|
Serve the Lord forever use your eyes, and see Him ever-present everywhere. ||3||
ਸੋ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸਦਾ ਬੰਦਗੀ ਕਰ, (ਇਹ ਭਗਤੀ ਦੀ) ਐਨਕ ਲਾ (ਕੇ ਵੇਖ), ਉਹ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਅਲਾਹ ਪਾਕੰ ਪਾਕ ਹੈ ਸਕ ਕਰਉ ਜੇ ਦੂਸਰ ਹੋਇ ॥
alaah paakan paak hai sak krau je doosar hoe |
The Lord is the purest of the pure only through doubt could there be another.
ਰੱਬ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ (ਹਸਤੀ) ਹੈ (ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ), ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਵਿਚ ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਸ਼ੱਕ ਕਰਾਂ, ਜੇ ਉਸ ਰੱਬ ਵਰਗਾ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਦੂਜਾ ਹੋਵੇ।
ਕਬੀਰ ਕਰਮੁ ਕਰੀਮ ਕਾ ਉਹੁ ਕਰੈ ਜਾਨੈ ਸੋਇ ॥੪॥੧॥
kabeer karam kareem kaa uhu karai jaanai soe |4|1|
O Kabeer, mercy flows from the Merciful Lord He alone knows who acts. ||4||1||
ਹੇ ਕਬੀਰ! (ਇਸ ਭੇਤ ਨੂੰ) ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹੀ ਸਮਝ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਸਮਝਣ-ਜੋਗ ਬਣਾਏ। ਤੇ, ਇਹ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ ਉਸ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੧॥

I am blind Your Name, O Creator Lord, is my only anchor and support.
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹ! ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਮੈਂ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਦੀ ਡੰਗੋਰੀ ਹੈ, ਸਹਾਰਾ ਹੈ
ਮੈ ਗਰੀਬ ਮੈ ਮਸਕੀਨ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਹੈ ਅਧਾਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
mai gareeb mai masakeen teraa naam hai adhaaraa |1| rahaau |
I am poor, and I am meek. Your Name is my only support. ||1||Pause||
ਮੈਂ ਕੰਗਾਲ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਆਜਿਜ਼ ਹਾਂ, ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ (ਹੀ) ਮੇਰਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਕਰੀਮਾਂ ਰਹੀਮਾਂ ਅਲਾਹ ਤੂ ਗਨੀਂ ॥
kareemaan raheemaan alaah too gananee |
O beautiful Lord, benevolent and merciful Lord, You are so wealthy and generous.
ਹੇ ਅੱਲਾਹ! ਹੇ ਕਰੀਮ! ਹੇ ਰਹੀਮ! ਤੂੰ (ਹੀ) ਅਮੀਰ ਹੈਂ,
ਹਾਜਰਾ ਹਜੂਰਿ ਦਰਿ ਪੇਸਿ ਤੂੰ ਮਨੀਂ ॥੧॥
haajaraa hajoor dar pes toon mananee |1|
You are ever-present in every presence, within and before me. ||1||
ਤੂੰ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਹੈਂ (ਫਿਰ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਦੀ ਕੀਹ ਮੁਥਾਜੀ?) ॥੧॥
ਦਰੀਆਉ ਤੂ ਦਿਹੰਦ ਤੂ ਬਿਸੀਆਰ ਤੂ ਧਨੀ ॥
dareeaau too dihand too biseeaar too dhanee |
You are the river of life, You are the Giver of all You are so very wealthy.
ਤੂੰ (ਰਹਿਮਤ ਦਾ) ਦਰੀਆ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਦਾਤਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਧਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ
ਦੇਹਿ ਲੇਹਿ ਏਕੁ ਤੂੰ ਦਿਗਰ ਕੋ ਨਹੀ ॥੨॥
dehi lehi ek toon digar ko nahee |2|
You alone give, and You alone take away there is no other at all. ||2||
ਇੱਕ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ (ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਦਾਰਥ) ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੇ ਮੋੜ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਐਸਾ ਨਹੀਂ (ਜੋ ਇਹ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੋਵੇ) ॥੨॥
ਤੂੰ ਦਾਨਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਬੀਨਾਂ ਮੈ ਬੀਚਾਰੁ ਕਿਆ ਕਰੀ ॥
toon daanaan toon beenaan mai beechaar kiaa karee |
You are wise, You are the supreme seer how could I make You an object of thought?
(ਹੇ ਮਾਲਕ!) ਤੂੰ (ਸਭ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੀ) ਜਾਣਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ ਤੇ (ਸਭ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ) ਵੇਖਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਕਿਹੜਾ ਕਿਹੜਾ ਗੁਣ ਬਿਆਨ ਕਰਾਂ?
ਨਾਮੇ ਚੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਬਖਸੰਦ ਤੂੰ ਹਰੀ ॥੩॥੧॥੨॥
naame che suaamee bakhasand toon haree |3|1|2|
O Lord and Master of Naam Dayv, You are the merciful Lord of forgiveness. ||3||1||2||
ਹੇ ਨਾਮਦੇਵ ਦੇ ਖਸਮ! ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਤੂੰ ਸਭ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ਾਂ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ ॥੩॥੧॥੨॥
ਹਲੇ ਯਾਰਾਂ ਹਲੇ ਯਾਰਾਂ ਖੁਸਿਖਬਰੀ ॥

Hello, my friend, hello my friend. Is there any good news?
ਹੇ ਸੱਜਣ! ਹੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ! ਤੇਰੀ ਸੋਇ ਠੰਢ ਪਾਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਕਥਾਂ ਕਹਾਣੀਆਂ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਠੰਡ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ)
ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਂਉ ਹਉ ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਂਉ ॥ ਨੀਕੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਬਿਗਾਰੀ ਆਲੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

I am a sacrifice, a devoted sacrifice, a dedicated and devoted sacrifice, to You. Slavery to You is so sublime Your Name is noble and exalted. ||1||Pause||
ਮੈਂ ਤੈਥੋਂ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਕੇ ਹਾਂ, ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਹਾਂ। (ਹੇ ਮਿੱਤਰ!) ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ (ਮੈਨੂੰ) ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵਧੀਕ ਪਿਆਰਾ (ਲੱਗਦਾ) ਹੈ, (ਇਸ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ, ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਤ ਵਾਲੀ) ਤੇਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਵਿਗਾਰ ਭੀ (ਮੈਨੂੰ) ਮਿੱਠੀ ਲੱਗਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਕੁਜਾ ਆਮਦ ਕੁਜਾ ਰਫਤੀ ਕੁਜਾ ਮੇ ਰਵੀ ॥
kujaa aamad kujaa rafatee kujaa me ravee |
Where did you come from? Where have You been? And where are You going?
(ਹੇ ਸੱਜਣ!) ਨਾਹ ਤੂੰ ਕਿਤੋਂ ਆਇਆ, ਨਾਹ ਤੂੰ ਕਿਤੇ ਕਦੇ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਹ ਤੂੰ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ (ਭਾਵ, ਤੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਅਟੱਲ ਹੈਂ)
ਦ੍ਵਾਰਿਕਾ ਨਗਰੀ ਰਾਸਿ ਬੁਗੋਈ ॥੧॥

ਦੁਆਰਕਾ ਨਗਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਰਾਸ ਭੀ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਪਾਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ (ਭਾਵ, ਕਿਸ਼ਨ ਭੀ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਹੈਂ) ॥੧॥
ਖੂਬੁ ਤੇਰੀ ਪਗਰੀ ਮੀਠੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਬੋਲ ॥

How handsome is your turban! And how sweet is your speech.
ਹੇ ਯਾਰ! ਸੋਹਣੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਪੱਗ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਸੋਹਣਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਸਰੂਪ ਹੈ) ਤੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਬਚਨ ਹਨ,
ਦ੍ਵਾਰਿਕਾ ਨਗਰੀ ਕਾਹੇ ਕੇ ਮਗੋਲ ॥੨॥

ਨਾਹ ਤੂੰ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਦੁਆਰਕਾ ਵਿਚ ਹੈਂ ਤੇ ਨਾਹ ਤੂੰ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਮੁਸਲਮਾਨੀ ਧਰਮ ਦੇ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਮੱਕੇ ਵਿਚ ਹੈਂ (ਭਾਵ, ਤੂੰ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਹੈਂ) ॥੨॥
ਚੰਦੀਂ ਹਜਾਰ ਆਲਮ ਏਕਲ ਖਾਨਾਂ ॥
chandanee hajaar aalam ekal khaanaan |
You alone are the Lord of so many thousands of worlds.
(ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦੇ) ਕਈ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਮੰਡਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਤੂੰ ਇਕੱਲਾ (ਆਪ ਹੀ) ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈਂ।
ਹਮ ਚਿਨੀ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹ ਸਾਂਵਲੇ ਬਰਨਾਂ ॥੩॥
ham chinee paatisaah saanvale baranaan |3|
You are my Lord King, like the dark-skinned Krishna. ||3||
ਹੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ! ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਹੀ ਸਾਉਲੇ ਰੰਗ ਵਾਲਾ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਭੀ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਹੈਂ) ॥੩॥
ਅਸਪਤਿ ਗਜਪਤਿ ਨਰਹ ਨਰਿੰਦ ॥

You are the Lord of the sun, Lord Indra and Lord Brahma, the King of men.
ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸੂਰਜ-ਦੇਵਤਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਇੰਦ੍ਰ ਹੈਂ, ਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਹੈਂ,
ਨਾਮੇ ਕੇ ਸ੍ਵਾਮੀ ਮੀਰ ਮੁਕੰਦ ॥੪॥੨॥੩॥

ਹੇ ਨਾਮਦੇਵ ਦੇ ਖਸਮ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਮੀਰ ਹੈਂ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਹੈਂ ॥੪॥੨॥੩॥
