ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਚਰਨ ਰਿਦੈ ਉਰ ਧਾਰੇ ॥
har har charan ridai ur dhaare |
I have enshrined the Lord's Feet within my heart.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਚਰਨ ਸਦਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਂਭ ਰੱਖ।
ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਕਾਰਜ ਸਫਲ ਹਮਾਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
simar suaamee satigur apunaa kaaraj safal hamaare |1| rahaau |
Contemplating my Lord and Master, my True Guru, all my affairs have been resolved. ||1||Pause||
ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਲਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰ ਕੇ ਅਸਾਂ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਸਿਰੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਪੁੰਨ ਦਾਨ ਪੂਜਾ ਪਰਮੇਸੁਰ ਹਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਿ ਤਤੁ ਬੀਚਾਰੇ ॥
pun daan poojaa paramesur har keerat tat beechaare |
The merits of giving donations to charity and devotional worship come from the Kirtan of the Praises of the Transcendent Lord this is the true essence of wisdom.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਵਿਚਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਿਚੋੜ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਹੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ, ਪੁੰਨ-ਦਾਨ ਹੈ।
ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਤ ਅਤੁਲ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਅਗਮ ਅਪਾਰੇ ॥੧॥
gun gaavat atul sukh paaeaa tthaakur agam apaare |1|
Singing the Praises of the unapproachable, infinite Lord and Master, I have found immeasurable peace. ||1||
ਅਪਹੁੰਚ ਤੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦਿਆਂ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਸੁਖ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਈਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਜੋ ਜਨ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮਿ ਅਪਨੇ ਕੀਨੇ ਤਿਨ ਕਾ ਬਾਹੁਰਿ ਕਛੁ ਨ ਬੀਚਾਰੇ ॥
jo jan paarabraham apane keene tin kaa baahur kachh na beechaare |
The Supreme Lord God does not consider the merits and demerits of those humble beings whom He makes His own.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ (ਸੇਵਕ) ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਲੇਖਾ ਮੁੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੁੱਛਦਾ।
ਨਾਮ ਰਤਨੁ ਸੁਨਿ ਜਪਿ ਜਪਿ ਜੀਵਾ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੰਠ ਮਝਾਰੇ ॥੨॥੧੧॥੩੦॥
naam ratan sun jap jap jeevaa har naanak kantth majhaare |2|11|30|
Hearing, chanting and meditating on the jewel of the Naam, I live Nanak wears the Lord as his necklace. ||2||11||30||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-) ਮੈਂ ਭੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਰਤਨ (ਵਰਗੇ ਕੀਮਤੀ) ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਗਲੇ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰੋ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਨਾਮ ਸੁਣ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਜਪ ਜਪ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੨॥੧੧॥੩੦॥

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਕਹਉ ਕਹਾ ਅਪਨੀ ਅਧਮਾਈ ॥
khau kahaa apanee adhamaaee |
What can I say about my base nature?
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਨੀਚਤਾ ਕਿਤਨੀ ਕੁ ਬਿਆਨ ਕਰਾਂ?
ਉਰਝਿਓ ਕਨਕ ਕਾਮਨੀ ਕੇ ਰਸ ਨਹ ਕੀਰਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਗਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
aurajhio kanak kaamanee ke ras neh keerat prabh gaaee |1| rahaau |
I am entangled in the love of gold and women, and I have not sung the Kirtan of God's Praises. ||1||Pause||
ਮੈਂ (ਕਦੇ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ, (ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ) ਧਨ-ਪਦਾਰਥ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦੇ ਰਸਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਫਸਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਜਗ ਝੂਠੇ ਕਉ ਸਾਚੁ ਜਾਨਿ ਕੈ ਤਾ ਸਿਉ ਰੁਚ ਉਪਜਾਈ ॥
jag jhootthe kau saach jaan kai taa siau ruch upajaaee |
I judge the false world to be true, and I have fallen in love with it.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਇਸ ਨਾਸਵੰਤ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਸਮਝ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਬਣਾਈ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।
ਦੀਨ ਬੰਧ ਸਿਮਰਿਓ ਨਹੀ ਕਬਹੂ ਹੋਤ ਜੁ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਹਾਈ ॥੧॥
deen bandh simario nahee kabahoo hot ju sang sahaaee |1|
I have never contemplated the friend of the poor, who shall be my companion and helper in the end. ||1||
ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਕਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਜੋ ਨਿਮਾਣਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇਦਾਰ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਜੇਹੜਾ (ਸਦਾ ਸਾਡੇ) ਨਾਲ ਮਦਦਗਾਰ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਮਗਨ ਰਹਿਓ ਮਾਇਆ ਮੈ ਨਿਸ ਦਿਨਿ ਛੁਟੀ ਨ ਮਨ ਕੀ ਕਾਈ ॥
magan rahio maaeaa mai nis din chhuttee na man kee kaaee |
I remain intoxicated by Maya, night and day, and the filth of my mind will not depart.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਮੈਂ ਰਾਤ ਦਿਨ ਮਾਇਆ (ਦੇ ਮੋਹ) ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ, (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ) ਮਨ ਦੀ ਮੈਲ ਦੂਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕੀ।
ਕਹਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਅਬ ਨਾਹਿ ਅਨਤ ਗਤਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਸਰਨਾਈ ॥੨॥੧॥੩੧॥
keh naanak ab naeh anat gat bin har kee saranaaee |2|1|31|
Says Nanak, now, without the Lord's Sanctuary, I cannot find salvation in any other way. ||2||1||31||
ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- ਹੁਣ (ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਿਆ ਹਾਂ, ਤਾਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਮਝ ਆਈ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਣ ਪੈਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਭੀ ਹੋਰ ਥਾਂ ਉੱਚੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ ॥੨॥੧॥੩੧॥

Some say that He is near, and others say that He is far away.
ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਅਸਾਡੇ) ਨੇੜੇ (ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ), ਕੋਈ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਅਸਾਥੋਂ ਕਿਤੇ) ਦੂਰ (ਥਾਂ ਤੇ ਹੈ)
ਜਲ ਕੀ ਮਾਛੁਲੀ ਚਰੈ ਖਜੂਰਿ ॥੧॥
jal kee maachhulee charai khajoor |1|
We might just as well say that the fish climbs out of the water, up the tree. ||1||
(ਪਰ ਨਿਰਾ ਬਹਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਨਿਰਣਾ ਕਰ ਲੈਣਾ ਇਉਂ ਹੀ ਅਸੰਭਵ ਹੈ ਜਿਵੇਂ) ਪਾਣੀ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਮੱਛੀ ਖਜੂਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਨ ਦਾ ਜਤਨ ਕਰੇ (ਜਿਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਭੀ ਬੜੇ ਔਖੇ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਦੇ ਹਨ) ॥੧॥
ਕਾਂਇ ਰੇ ਬਕਬਾਦੁ ਲਾਇਓ ॥
kaane re bakabaad laaeo |
Why do you speak such nonsense?
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! (ਰੱਬ ਨੇੜੇ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਦੂਰ ਜਿਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਵਿਦਿਆ ਦਾ ਵਿਖਾਵਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ) ਕਿਉਂ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਬਹਿਸ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ?
ਜਿਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਓ ਤਿਨਹਿ ਛਪਾਇਓ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jin har paaeo tineh chhapaaeo |1| rahaau |
One who has found the Lord, keeps quiet about it. ||1||Pause||
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੇ (ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ) ਲੁਕਾਇਆ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਉਹ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਬਹਿਸਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਵਿੱਦਿਆ ਦਾ ਢੰਢੋਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਫਿਰਦਾ) ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਪੰਡਿਤੁ ਹੋਇ ਕੈ ਬੇਦੁ ਬਖਾਨੈ ॥
panddit hoe kai bed bakhaanai |
Those who become Pandits, religious scholars, recite the Vedas,
ਵਿੱਦਿਆ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਆਦਿਕ ਤਾਂ) ਵੇਦ (ਆਦਿਕ ਧਰਮ-ਪੁਸਤਕਾਂ) ਦੀ ਵਿਸਥਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਚਰਚਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਮੂਰਖੁ ਨਾਮਦੇਉ ਰਾਮਹਿ ਜਾਨੈ ॥੨॥੧॥
moorakh naamadeo raameh jaanai |2|1|
but foolish Naam Dayv knows only the Lord. ||2||1||
ਪਰ ਮੂਰਖ ਨਾਮਦੇਵ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਪਛਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ (ਕੇਵਲ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਸਾਂਝ ਪਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ) ॥੨॥੧॥
ਕਉਨ ਕੋ ਕਲੰਕੁ ਰਹਿਓ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਲੇਤ ਹੀ ॥
kaun ko kalank rahio raam naam let hee |
Whose blemishes remain, when one chants the Lord's Name?
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਜੀਵ ਦਾ (ਭੀ) ਕੋਈ ਪਾਪ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿ ਜਾਂਦਾ
ਪਤਿਤ ਪਵਿਤ ਭਏ ਰਾਮੁ ਕਹਤ ਹੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
patit pavit bhe raam kehat hee |1| rahaau |
Sinners become pure, chanting the Lord's Name. ||1||Pause||
ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿੱਘਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਬੰਦੇ ਭੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਭਜਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਰਾਮ ਸੰਗਿ ਨਾਮਦੇਵ ਜਨ ਕਉ ਪ੍ਰਤਗਿਆ ਆਈ ॥
raam sang naamadev jan kau pratagiaa aaee |
With the Lord, servant Naam Dayv has come to have faith.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜ ਕੇ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਮਦੇਵ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਾ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ,
ਏਕਾਦਸੀ ਬ੍ਰਤੁ ਰਹੈ ਕਾਹੇ ਕਉ ਤੀਰਥ ਜਾਈਂ ॥੧॥
ekaadasee brat rahai kaahe kau teerath jaaenee |1|
I have stopped fasting on the eleventh day of each month why should I bother to go on pilgrimages to sacred shrines? ||1||
ਕਿ ਕਿਸੇ ਇਕਾਦਸ਼ੀ (ਆਦਿਕ) ਵਰਤ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੀਰਥਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ (ਭੀ ਕਿਉਂ) ਜਾਵਾਂ? ॥੧॥
ਭਨਤਿ ਨਾਮਦੇਉ ਸੁਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਸੁਮਤਿ ਭਏ ॥
bhanat naamadeo sukrit sumat bhe |
Prays Naam Dayv, I have become a man of good deeds and good thoughts.
ਨਾਮਦੇਵ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ-(ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਜੀਵ) ਚੰਗੀ ਕਰਣੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਚੰਗੀ ਅਕਲ ਵਾਲੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਰਾਮੁ ਕਹਿ ਕੋ ਕੋ ਨ ਬੈਕੁੰਠਿ ਗਏ ॥੨॥੨॥
guramat raam keh ko ko na baikuntth ge |2|2|
Chanting the Lord's Name, under Guru's Instructions, who has not gone to heaven? ||2||2||
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਦੱਸੇ ਰਾਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰ ਕੇ ਸਭ ਜੀਵ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ ਵਿਚ ਅੱਪੜ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨॥੨॥
ਤੀਨਿ ਛੰਦੇ ਖੇਲੁ ਆਛੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

(ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਰਚਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਇਹ ਜਗਤ) ਤ੍ਰਿ-ਗੁਣੀ ਸੁਭਾਉ ਦਾ ਤਮਾਸ਼ਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਕੁੰਭਾਰ ਕੇ ਘਰ ਹਾਂਡੀ ਆਛੈ ਰਾਜਾ ਕੇ ਘਰ ਸਾਂਡੀ ਗੋ ॥
kunbhaar ke ghar haanddee aachhai raajaa ke ghar saanddee go |
In the potter's home there are pots, and in the king's home there are camels.
(ਸਾਧਾਰਨ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ) ਘੁਮਿਆਰ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਹਾਂਡੀ (ਹੀ ਮਿਲਦੀ) ਹੈ, ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਸਾਂਢੀ (ਆਦਿਕ ਹੀ) ਹੈ
ਬਾਮਨ ਕੇ ਘਰ ਰਾਂਡੀ ਆਛੈ ਰਾਂਡੀ ਸਾਂਡੀ ਹਾਂਡੀ ਗੋ ॥੧॥
baaman ke ghar raanddee aachhai raanddee saanddee haanddee go |1|
In the Brahmin's home there are widows. So here they are: haandee, saandee, raandee. ||1||
ਤੇ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਦੇ ਘਰ (ਸਗਨ ਮਹੂਰਤ ਆਦਿਕ ਵਿਚਾਰਨ ਲਈ) ਪੱਤ੍ਰੀ (ਆਦਿਕ ਪੁਸਤਕ ਹੀ ਮਿਲਦੀ) ਹੈ। (ਇਹਨਾਂ ਘਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਪੱਤ੍ਰੀ, ਸਾਂਢਨੀ, ਭਾਂਡੇ (ਹਾਂਡੀ) ਹੀ (ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਹਨ) ॥੧॥
ਬਾਣੀਏ ਕੇ ਘਰ ਹੀਂਗੁ ਆਛੈ ਭੈਸਰ ਮਾਥੈ ਸੀਂਗੁ ਗੋ ॥
baanee ke ghar heeng aachhai bhaisar maathai seeng go |
In the home of the grocer there is asafoetida on the forehead of the buffalo there are horns.
ਹਟਵਾਣੀਏ ਦੇ ਘਰ (ਭਾਵ, ਹੱਟੀ ਵਿੱਚ) ਹਿੰਙ (ਆਦਿਕ ਹੀ ਮਿਲਦੀ) ਹੈ, ਭੈਂਸੇ ਦੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉੱਤੇ (ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸੁਭਾਉ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ) ਸਿੰਗ (ਹੀ) ਹਨ,
ਦੇਵਲ ਮਧੇ ਲੀਗੁ ਆਛੈ ਲੀਗੁ ਸੀਗੁ ਹੀਗੁ ਗੋ ॥੨॥
deval madhe leeg aachhai leeg seeg heeg go |2|
In the temple of Shiva there are lingams. So here they are: heeng, seeng, leeng. ||2||
ਅਤੇ ਦੇਵਾਲੇ (ਦੇਵ-ਅਸਥਾਨ) ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿੰਗ (ਹੀ ਗੱਡਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ) ਹੈ। (ਇਹਨੀਂ ਥਾਈਂ) ਹਿੰਙ, ਸਿੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਲਿੰਗ ਹੀ (ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਹਨ) ॥੨॥
ਤੇਲੀ ਕੈ ਘਰ ਤੇਲੁ ਆਛੈ ਜੰਗਲ ਮਧੇ ਬੇਲ ਗੋ ॥

In the house of the oil-presser there is oil in the forest there are vines.
(ਜੇ) ਤੇਲੀ ਦੇ ਘਰ (ਜਾਉ, ਤਾਂ ਉਥੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਬਾਹਰ) ਤੇਲ (ਹੀ ਤੇਲ ਪਿਆ) ਹੈ, ਜੰਗਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੇਲਾਂ (ਹੀ ਵੇਲਾਂ) ਹਨ,
ਮਾਲੀ ਕੇ ਘਰ ਕੇਲ ਆਛੈ ਕੇਲ ਬੇਲ ਤੇਲ ਗੋ ॥੩॥

In the gardener's home there are bananas. So here they are: tayl, bayl, kayl. ||3||
ਅਤੇ ਮਾਲੀ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਕੇਲਾ (ਹੀ ਲੱਗਾ ਮਿਲਦਾ) ਹੈ। ਇਹਨੀਂ ਥਾਈਂ ਤੇਲ, ਵੇਲਾਂ ਤੇ ਕੇਲਾ ਹੀ (ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਹਨ) ॥੩॥
ਸੰਤਾਂ ਮਧੇ ਗੋਬਿੰਦੁ ਆਛੈ ਗੋਕਲ ਮਧੇ ਸਿਆਮ ਗੋ ॥

The Lord of the Universe, Govind, is within His Saints Krishna, Shyaam, is in Gokal.
(ਇਸ ਜਗਤ-ਖੇਲ ਦਾ ਰਚਨਹਾਰ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਹੋਇਆ?) (ਜਿਵੇਂ) ਗੋਕਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਜੀ (ਦੀ ਹੀ ਗੱਲ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੀ) ਹੈ, (ਤਿਵੇਂ ਇਸ ਖੇਲ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ) ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਮੇ ਮਧੇ ਰਾਮੁ ਆਛੈ ਰਾਮ ਸਿਆਮ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਗੋ ॥੪॥੩॥

(ਉਹੀ) ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮਦੇਵ ਦੇ (ਭੀ) ਅੰਦਰ (ਪ੍ਰਤੱਖ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ) ਹੈ। (ਜਿਹਨੀਂ ਥਾਈਂ, ਭਾਵ, ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ, ਗੋਕਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਮਦੇਵ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਮ ਹੀ (ਗੱਜ ਰਿਹਾ) ਹੈ ॥੪॥੩॥
