ਅਉਖਧ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਮੂਲ ਮਨ ਏਕੈ ਮਨਿ ਬਿਸ੍ਵਾਸੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਧਾਰਿਆ ॥
aaukhadh mantr mool man ekai man bisvaas prabh dhaariaa |
The Mul Mantra, the Root Mantra, is the only cure for the mind I have installed faith in God in my mind.
ਹੇ ਮਨ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਇਕ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਦਵਾਈਆਂ ਦਾ ਮੂਲ ਹੈ, ਸਾਰੇ ਮੰਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੂਲ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਸਰਧਾ ਧਾਰ ਲਈ ਹੈ,
ਚਰਨ ਰੇਨ ਬਾਂਛੈ ਨਿਤ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਪੁਨਹ ਪੁਨਹ ਬਲਿਹਾਰਿਆ ॥੨॥੧੬॥
charan ren baanchhai nit naanak punah punah balihaariaa |2|16|
Nanak ever longs for the dust of the Lord's feet again and again, he is a sacrifice to the Lord. ||2||16||
ਨਾਨਕ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਸਦਾ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹੈ, ਨਾਨਕ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥੧੬॥

ਮੇਰਾ ਲਾਗੋ ਰਾਮ ਸਿਉ ਹੇਤੁ ॥

I have fallen in love with the Lord.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! (ਉਸ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ) ਮੇਰਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ,
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਦਾ ਸਹਾਈ ਜਿਨਿ ਦੁਖ ਕਾ ਕਾਟਿਆ ਕੇਤੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
satigur meraa sadaa sahaaee jin dukh kaa kaattiaa ket |1| rahaau |
My True Guru is always my help and support He has torn down the banner of pain. ||1||Pause||
ਉਹ ਗੁਰੂ ਮੇਰਾ ਭੀ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਮਦਦਗਾਰ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ (ਸਰਨ ਆਏ ਹਰੇਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ) ਬੋਦੀ ਵਾਲਾ ਤਾਰਾ ਹੀ ਸਦਾ ਕੱਟ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ (ਜੇਹੜਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਹਰੇਕ ਸਰਨ ਆਏ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਜੜ੍ਹ ਹੀ ਕੱਟ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ) ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਹਾਥ ਦੇਇ ਰਾਖਿਓ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਕਰਿ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਸਗਲ ਮਿਟਾਈ ॥
haath dee raakhio apunaa kar birathaa sagal mittaaee |
Giving me His hand, He has protected me as His own, and removed all my troubles.
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ) ਹੱਥ ਦੇ ਕੇ (ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਬਚਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਆਪਣੇ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਦੁੱਖ-ਦਰਦ ਮਿਟਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਨਿੰਦਕ ਕੇ ਮੁਖ ਕਾਲੇ ਕੀਨੇ ਜਨ ਕਾ ਆਪਿ ਸਹਾਈ ॥੧॥
nindak ke mukh kaale keene jan kaa aap sahaaee |1|
He has blackened the faces of the slanderers, and He Himself has become the help and support of His humble servant. ||1||
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਪ ਮਦਦਗਾਰ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਕਾਲੇ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਸਾਚਾ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਹੋਆ ਰਖਵਾਲਾ ਰਾਖਿ ਲੀਏ ਕੰਠਿ ਲਾਇ ॥
saachaa saahib hoaa rakhavaalaa raakh lee kantth laae |
The True Lord and Master has become my Saviour hugging me close in His embrace, He has saved me.
ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਾਲਕ (ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਪ) ਰਾਖਾ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਗਲ ਨਾਲ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਨਿਰਭਉ ਭਏ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖ ਮਾਣੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇ ॥੨॥੧੭॥
nirbhau bhe sadaa sukh maane naanak har gun gaae |2|17|
Nanak has become fearless, and he enjoys eternal peace, singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ||2||17||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾ ਗਾ ਕੇ, ਤੇ, ਸਦਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣ ਕੇ (ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਕਲੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ) ਨਿਡਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨॥੧੭॥

ਅਉਖਧੁ ਤੇਰੋ ਨਾਮੁ ਦਇਆਲ ॥

Your Name is the medicine, O Merciful Lord.
ਹੇ ਦਇਆ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ (ਮੇਰੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਰੋਗ ਦੀ) ਦਵਾਈ ਹੈ,
ਮੋਹਿ ਆਤੁਰ ਤੇਰੀ ਗਤਿ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਨੀ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਿ ਕਰਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
mohi aatur teree gat nahee jaanee toon aap kareh pratipaal |1| rahaau |
I am so miserable, I do not know Your state You Yourself cherish me, Lord. ||1||Pause||
ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਦੁੱਖੀਏ ਨੇ ਸਮਝਿਆ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਕਿਤਨੀ ਉੱਚੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ, (ਫਿਰ ਭੀ) ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਮੇਰੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਧਾਰਿ ਅਨੁਗ੍ਰਹੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਦੁਤੀਆ ਭਾਉ ਨਿਵਾਰਿ ॥
dhaar anugrahu suaamee mere duteea bhaau nivaar |
Take pity on me, O my Lord and Master, and remove the love of duality from within me.
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਾਲਕ! ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ (ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਮਾਇਆ ਦਾ ਮੋਹ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ।
ਬੰਧਨ ਕਾਟਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਕਰਿ ਕਬਹੂ ਨ ਆਵਹ ਹਾਰਿ ॥੧॥
bandhan kaatt lehu apune kar kabahoo na aavah haar |1|
Break my bonds, and take me as Your own, so that I may never come to lose. ||1||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਸਾਡੇ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੇ) ਬੰਧਨ ਕੱਟ ਕੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਣਾ ਲਵੋ, ਅਸੀਂ ਕਦੇ (ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜਨਮ ਦੀ ਬਾਜ਼ੀ) ਹਾਰ ਕੇ ਨਾਹ ਆਵੀਏ ॥੧॥
ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਨਿ ਪਇਆ ਹਉ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਸੰਮ੍ਰਥੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਮਿਹਰਵਾਨੁ ॥
teree saran peaa hau jeevaan toon samrath purakh miharavaan |
Seeking Your Sanctuary, I live, almighty and merciful Lord and Master.
(ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!) ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ (ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਰੱਖ) ਤੂੰ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਤਾਕਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ (ਸਭ ਉਤੇ) ਦਇਆ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਉ ਆਰਾਧੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਦ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੁ ॥੨॥੧੮॥
aatth pehar prabh kau aaraadhee naanak sad kurabaan |2|18|
Twenty-four hours a day, I worship God Nanak is forever a sacrifice to Him. ||2||18||
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਮੇਰੀ ਇਹੀ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਮੈਂ ਅੱਠੇ ਪਹਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਆਰਾਧਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹਾਂ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-) ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੨॥੧੮॥

ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਹਾ ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਰਾਖਿ ਲੇਹੁ ॥

O God, please save me!
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਸਾਨੂੰ ਬਚਾ ਲੈ, ਸਾਨੂੰ ਬਚਾ ਲੈ।
ਹਮ ਤੇ ਕਿਛੂ ਨ ਹੋਇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸ੍ਵਾਮੀ ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੇਹੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ham te kichhoo na hoe mere svaamee kar kirapaa apunaa naam dehu |1| rahaau |
By myself, I cannot do anything, O my Lord and Master by Your Grace, please bless me with Your Name. ||1||Pause||
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਾਲਕ! (ਇਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਣ ਲਈ) ਅਸਾਂ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ! ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ, ਆਪਣਾ ਨਾਮ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਅਗਨਿ ਕੁਟੰਬ ਸਾਗਰ ਸੰਸਾਰ ॥

Family and worldly affairs are an ocean of fire.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਇਹ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਪਰਵਾਰ (ਦੇ ਮੋਹ) ਦੀ ਅੱਗ (ਨਾਲ ਭਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ) ਹੈ।
ਭਰਮ ਮੋਹ ਅਗਿਆਨ ਅੰਧਾਰ ॥੧॥
bharam moh agiaan andhaar |1|
Through doubt, emotional attachment and ignorance, we are enveloped in darkness. ||1||
ਭਟਕਣਾ, ਮਾਇਆ ਦਾ ਮੋਹ, ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਲੋਂ ਬੇ-ਸਮਝੀ-ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਘੁੱਪ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਪਏ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ ॥੧॥
ਊਚ ਨੀਚ ਸੂਖ ਦੂਖ ॥

High and low, pleasure and pain.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਸੁਖ ਮਿਲਣ ਤੇ ਜੀਵ ਨੂੰ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਦੁੱਖ ਮਿਲਣ ਤੇ ਨਿੱਘਰੀ ਹੋਈ ਹਾਲਤ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਧ੍ਰਾਪਸਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਭੂਖ ॥੨॥
dhraapas naahee trisanaa bhookh |2|
Hunger and thirst are not satisfied. ||2||
ਜੀਵ (ਮਾਇਆ ਵਲੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ) ਰੱਜਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ, ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਤ੍ਰੇਹ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਭੁੱਖ ਚੰਬੜੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਮਨਿ ਬਾਸਨਾ ਰਚਿ ਬਿਖੈ ਬਿਆਧਿ ॥
man baasanaa rach bikhai biaadh |
The mind is engrossed in passion, and the disease of corruption.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜੀਵ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵਾਸਨਾ ਖੜੀਆਂ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ-ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਰੋਗ ਸਹੇੜ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪੰਚ ਦੂਤ ਸੰਗਿ ਮਹਾ ਅਸਾਧ ॥੩॥
panch doot sang mahaa asaadh |3|
The five thieves, the companions, are totally incorrigible. ||3||
ਇਹ ਵੱਡੇ ਆਕੀ (ਕਾਮਾਦਿਕ) ਪੰਜ ਵੈਰੀ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਚੰਬੜੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੩॥
ਜੀਅ ਜਹਾਨੁ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਧਨੁ ਤੇਰਾ ॥
jeea jahaan praan dhan teraa |
The beings and souls and wealth of the world are all Yours.
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰ-ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!) ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵ, ਇਹ ਜਗਤ, ਇਹ ਧਨ, ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ-ਇਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਰਚਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ (ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਣ ਦੇ ਸਮਰਥ ਹੈਂ)
ਨਾਨਕ ਜਾਨੁ ਸਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਨੇਰਾ ॥੪॥੧॥੧੯॥
naanak jaan sadaa har neraa |4|1|19|
O Nanak, know that the Lord is always near at hand. ||4||1||19||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਜੇ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਣਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਗ-ਸੰਗ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਸਮਝ ॥੪॥੧॥੧੯॥

ਦੀਨ ਦਰਦ ਨਿਵਾਰਿ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਰਾਖੈ ਜਨ ਕੀ ਆਪਿ ॥
deen darad nivaar tthaakur raakhai jan kee aap |
The Lord and Master destroys the pain of the poor He preserves and protects the honor of His servants.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਅਨਾਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਲਾਜ ਆਪ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਤਰਣ ਤਾਰਣ ਹਰਿ ਨਿਧਿ ਦੂਖੁ ਨ ਸਕੈ ਬਿਆਪਿ ॥੧॥
taran taaran har nidh dookh na sakai biaap |1|
The Lord is the ship to carry us across He is the treasure of virtue - pain cannot touch Him. ||1||
ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ (ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ) ਲੰਘਾਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ (ਮਾਨੋ) ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਹਰੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਹੈ, (ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਿਆਂ ਕੋਈ) ਦੁੱਖ ਪੋਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੧॥
ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗਿ ਭਜਹੁ ਗੁਪਾਲ ॥
saadhoo sang bhajahu gupaal |
In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, meditate, vibrate upon the Lord of the world.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ (ਰਹਿ ਕੇ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆ ਕਰ।
ਆਨ ਸੰਜਮ ਕਿਛੁ ਨ ਸੂਝੈ ਇਹ ਜਤਨ ਕਾਟਿ ਕਲਿ ਕਾਲ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
aan sanjam kichh na soojhai ih jatan kaatt kal kaal | rahaau |
I cannot think of any other way make this effort, and make it in this Dark Age of Kali Yuga. ||Pause||
ਇਹਨਾਂ ਜਤਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੇ ਝੰਬੇਲਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਫਾਹੀ ਕੱਟ। (ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ) ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁੱਝਦੀ ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਆਦਿ ਅੰਤਿ ਦਇਆਲ ਪੂਰਨ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨਾ ਨਹੀ ਕੋਇ ॥
aad ant deaal pooran tis binaa nahee koe |
In the beginning, and in the end, there is none other than the perfect, merciful Lord.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜੇਹੜਾ ਦਇਆ-ਦਾ-ਘਰ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ (ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਉਤੇ ਰਾਖਾ) ਹੈ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ (ਉਸ ਵਰਗਾ) ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ।
ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਨਿਵਾਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸੋਇ ॥੨॥
janam maran nivaar har jap simar suaamee soe |2|
The cycle of birth and death is ended, chanting the Lord's Name, and remembering the Lord Master in meditation. ||2||
ਉਸੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਕਰ, ਉਸੇ ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪ ਕੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਜਨਮ-ਮਰਨ ਦਾ ਗੇੜ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ॥੨॥
ਬੇਦ ਸਿੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਕਥੈ ਸਾਸਤ ਭਗਤ ਕਰਹਿ ਬੀਚਾਰੁ ॥
bed sinmrit kathai saasat bhagat kareh beechaar |
The Vedas, the Simritees, the Shaastras and the Lord's devotees contemplate Him
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਵੇਦ ਸਿੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੀ ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰ (ਹਰੇਕ ਧਰਮ ਪੁਸਤਕ ਜਿਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ) ਜ਼ਿਕਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਭਗਤ ਜਨ (ਭੀ ਜਿਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ) ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ,
ਮੁਕਤਿ ਪਾਈਐ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਬਿਨਸਿ ਜਾਇ ਅੰਧਾਰੁ ॥੩॥
mukat paaeeai saadhasangat binas jaae andhaar |3|
liberation is attained in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, and the darkness of ignorance is dispelled. ||3||
ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ (ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰ ਕੇ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਝੰਬੇਲਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ) ਖ਼ਲਾਸੀ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ, (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦਾ) ਹਨੇਰਾ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਅਧਾਰੁ ਜਨ ਕਾ ਰਾਸਿ ਪੂੰਜੀ ਏਕ ॥
charan kamal adhaar jan kaa raas poonjee ek |
The lotus feet of the Lord are the support of His humble servants. They are his only capital and investment.
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਚਰਨ ਹੀ ਭਗਤਾਂ (ਦੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ) ਦਾ ਸਰਮਾਇਆ ਹੈ।
