ਜਾ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮੇਲੇ ਜਿਨੑ ਵਚਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਇਆ ॥
jaa har prabh bhaavai taa guramukh mele jina vachan guroo satigur man bhaaeaa |
When it pleases the Lord God, he causes us to meet the Gurmukhs the Hymns of the Guru, the True Guru, are very sweet to their minds.
ਹੇ ਭਰਾਵੋ! ਜਦੋਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਦੋਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਕਰਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਸਿਖ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਨਿਰਬਾਣੀ ਨਿਰਬਾਣ ਪਦੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੨॥
vaddabhaagee gur ke sikh piaare har nirabaanee nirabaan pad paaeaa |2|
Very fortunate are the beloved Sikhs of the Guru through the Lord, they attain the supreme state of Nirvaanaa. ||2||
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਉਹ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ ਜੇਹੜੇ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਵਾਸ਼ਨਾ-ਰਹਿਤ ਆਤਮਕ ਦਰਜਾ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨॥
ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਹਰਿ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਜਿਨ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੀਠਾ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਇਆ ॥

The Sat Sangat, the True Congregation of the Guru, is loved by the Lord. The Naam, the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, is sweet and pleasing to their minds.
ਹੇ ਭਰਾਵੋ! ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਮਿੱਠਾ ਨਾਮ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਭੀ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਲੱਗਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਜਿਨ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਸੰਗੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਆ ਸੇ ਭਾਗਹੀਣ ਪਾਪੀ ਜਮਿ ਖਾਇਆ ॥੩॥
jin satigur sangat sang na paaeaa se bhaagaheen paapee jam khaaeaa |3|
One who does not obtain the Association of the True Guru, is a most unfortunate sinner he is consumed by the Messenger of Death. ||3||
ਪਰ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਦਾ ਸਾਥ ਪਸੰਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ, ਉਹ ਬਦ-ਕਿਸਮਤ ਰਹਿ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਪਾਪੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਨੇ ਸਮੂਲਚਾ ਖਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਆਪਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲੁ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਧਾਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮਿਲੈ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ॥
aap kripaal kripaa prabh dhaare har aape guramukh milai milaaeaa |
If God, the Kind Master, Himself shows His kindness, then the Lord causes the Gurmukh to merge into Himself.
ਹੇ ਭਰਾਵੋ! ਜਦੋਂ ਦਇਆਵਾਨ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਕਿਸੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਤੇ ਦਇਆ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਬੋਲੇ ਗੁਣ ਬਾਣੀ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਇਆ ॥੪॥੫॥
jan naanak bole gun baanee gurabaanee har naam samaaeaa |4|5|
Servant Nanak chants the Glorious Words of the Guru's Bani through them, one is absorbed into the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||4||5||
ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ ਭੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਵਾਲੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਹੀ (ਨਿੱਤ) ਉਚਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੫॥

Goojaree, Fourth Mehl:
ਜਿਨ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਮੋ ਕਉ ਕਰਿ ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਮੀਠ ਲਗਾਵੈ ॥
jin satigur purakh jin har prabh paaeaa mo kau kar upades har meetth lagaavai |
One who has found the Lord God through the True Guru, has made the Lord seem so sweet to me, through the His Teachings.
(ਹੇ ਭਰਾ! ਮੇਰਾ ਜੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਸੱਜਣ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਣ) ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਹਾ ਪੁਰਖ ਦਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। (ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਲੋਚਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਜਿਸ ਸੱਜਣ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਕਰ ਲਈ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਭੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਬਣਾ ਦੇਵੇ।
ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਸੀਤਲੁ ਸਭ ਹਰਿਆ ਹੋਆ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਵੈ ॥੧॥
man tan seetal sabh hariaa hoaa vaddabhaagee har naam dhiaavai |1|
My mind and body have been cooled and soothed, and totally rejuvenated by great good fortune, I meditate on the Name of the Lord. ||1||
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਹਿਰਦਾ ਠੰਢਾ-ਠਾਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਨਾਲ ਸਰਸ਼ਾਰ (ਭਰਪੂਰ) ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਭਾਈ ਰੇ ਮੋ ਕਉ ਕੋਈ ਆਇ ਮਿਲੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਵੈ ॥
bhaaee re mo kau koee aae milai har naam drirraavai |
O Siblings of Destiny, let anyone who can implant the Lord's Name within me, come and meet with me.
ਹੇ ਭਰਾ! (ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਲੋਚਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ (ਅਜੇਹਾ ਸੱਜਣ) ਆ ਕੇ ਮਿਲੇ ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਪੱਕਾ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇ।
ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਸਭੁ ਦੇਵਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਹਰਿ ਕਥਾ ਸੁਨਾਵੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
mere preetam praan man tan sabh devaa mere har prabh kee har kathaa sunaavai |1| rahaau |
Unto my Beloved, I give my mind and body, and my very breath of life. He speaks to me of the sermon of my Lord God. ||1||Pause||
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣਾਂਦਾ ਰਹੇ, ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਸੱਜਣ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਆਪਣਾ ਮਨ ਆਪਣਾ ਤਨ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਦੇ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਧੀਰਜੁ ਧਰਮੁ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਨਿਤ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੈ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਵੈ ॥
dheeraj dharam guramat har paaeaa nit har naamai har siau chit laavai |
Through the Guru's Teachings, I have obtained courage, faith and the Lord. He keeps my mind focused continually on the Lord, and the Name of the Lord.
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਦਾ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਚਿੱਤ ਜੋੜੀ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਧੀਰਜ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਧਰਮ ਕਮਾਣ ਲੱਗ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮਤਿ ਉਤੇ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਚਨ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਜੋ ਬੋਲੈ ਸੋ ਮੁਖਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪਾਵੈ ॥੨॥
amrit bachan satigur kee baanee jo bolai so mukh amrit paavai |2|
The Words of the True Guru's Teachings are Ambrosial Nectar this Amrit trickles into the mouth of the one who chants them. ||2||
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਬਚਨ ਹਨ, ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਇਹ ਬਾਣੀ ਉਚਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿਚ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਜਲ ਪਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਿਤੁ ਮੈਲੁ ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪੈ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਵੈ ॥
niramal naam jit mail na laagai guramat naam japai liv laavai |
Immaculate is the Naam, which cannot be stained by filth. Through the Guru's Teachings, chant the Naam with love.
ਹੇ ਭਰਾ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਿਆਂ (ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ) ਮੈਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗਦੀ। ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਉਤੇ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਪਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਜਿਨ ਨਰ ਨਹੀ ਪਾਇਆ ਸੇ ਭਾਗਹੀਣ ਮੁਏ ਮਰਿ ਜਾਵੈ ॥੩॥
naam padaarath jin nar nahee paaeaa se bhaagaheen mue mar jaavai |3|
That man who has not found the wealth of the Naam is most unfortunate he dies over and over again. ||3||
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਸ਼ੈ ਹੈ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਨਾਮ ਹਾਸਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ, ਉਹ ਮੰਦ-ਭਾਗੀ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਸਹੇੜ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ। (ਜੇਹੜਾ ਭੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਵਾਂਜਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ) ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤੇ ਮਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਆਨਦ ਮੂਲੁ ਜਗਜੀਵਨ ਦਾਤਾ ਸਭ ਜਨ ਕਉ ਅਨਦੁ ਕਰਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਵੈ ॥
aanad mool jagajeevan daataa sabh jan kau anad karahu har dhiaavai |
The source of bliss, the Life of the world, the Great Giver brings bliss to all who meditate on the Lord.
ਹੇ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੂੰ ਆਨੰਦ ਦਾ ਸੋਮਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਸਭ ਦਾਤਾਂ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਸਭ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਆਤਮਕ) ਆਨੰਦ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ। (ਜੇਹੜਾ ਭੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਤੇਰਾ) ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਆਨੰਦ ਦੀ ਦਾਤਿ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ।)
ਤੂੰ ਦਾਤਾ ਜੀਅ ਸਭਿ ਤੇਰੇ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਬਖਸਿ ਮਿਲਾਵੈ ॥੪॥੬॥
toon daataa jeea sabh tere jan naanak guramukh bakhas milaavai |4|6|
You are the Great Giver, all beings belong to You. O servant Nanak, You forgive the Gurmukhs, and merge them into Yourself. ||4||6||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵ ਤੇਰੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ, ਤੂੰ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਾਤਾਂ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਾ ਕੇ (ਵਡ-ਭਾਗੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ) ਆਪਣੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੋੜ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੬॥

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।

Goojaree, Fourth Mehl, Third House:
ਰਾਗ ਗੂਜਰੀ, ਘਰ ੩ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ।
ਮਾਈ ਬਾਪ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਸਭਿ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਕੀਏ ॥
maaee baap putr sabh har ke kee |
Mother, father and sons are all made by the Lord
ਮਾਂ, ਪਿਉ, ਪੁੱਤਰ-ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਬਣਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।
ਸਭਨਾ ਕਉ ਸਨਬੰਧੁ ਹਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਦੀਏ ॥੧॥
sabhanaa kau sanabandh har kar dee |1|
the relationships of all are established by the Lord. ||1||
ਇਹਨਾਂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਆਪੋ ਵਿਚ ਦਾ ਰਿਸ਼ਤਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ (ਸੋ, ਇਹ ਸਹੀ ਜੀਵਨ-ਰਾਹ ਵਿਚ ਰੁਕਾਵਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ) ॥੧॥
ਹਮਰਾ ਜੋਰੁ ਸਭੁ ਰਹਿਓ ਮੇਰੇ ਬੀਰ ॥
hamaraa jor sabh rahio mere beer |
I have given up all my strength, O my brother.
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੀਰ! (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਟਾਕਰੇ ਤੇ) ਸਾਡਾ ਕੋਈ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਚੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ।
ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਸਭੁ ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਵਸਿ ਹੈ ਸਰੀਰ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
har kaa tan man sabh har kai vas hai sareer |1| rahaau |
The mind and body belong to the Lord, and the human body is entirely under His control. ||1||Pause||
ਸਾਡਾ ਇਹ ਸਰੀਰ ਸਾਡਾ ਇਹ ਮਨ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਸਾਡਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਵੱਸ ਵਿਚ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਭਗਤ ਜਨਾ ਕਉ ਸਰਧਾ ਆਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਲਾਈ ॥
bhagat janaa kau saradhaa aap har laaee |
The Lord Himself infuses devotion into His humble devotees.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਵਿਚੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਸਤ ਉਦਾਸ ਰਹਾਈ ॥੨॥
viche grisat udaas rahaaee |2|
In the midst of family life, they remain unattached. ||2||
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਭਗਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਸਤ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ (ਮਾਂ ਪਿਉ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਆਦਿਕ ਸਨਬੰਧੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਰਹਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ) ਮਾਇਆ ਵਿਚ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਜਬ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਬਨਿ ਆਈ ॥
jab antar preet har siau ban aaee |
When inner love is established with the Lord,
ਜਦੋਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਤਬ ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਰੇ ਸੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਈ ॥੩॥
tab jo kichh kare su mere har prabh bhaaee |3|
then whatever one does, is pleasing to my Lord God. ||3||
ਤਦੋਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਰਜ਼ਾ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ) ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਜਿਤੁ ਕਾਰੈ ਕੰਮਿ ਹਮ ਹਰਿ ਲਾਏ ॥
jit kaarai kam ham har laae |
I do those deeds and tasks which the Lord has set me to
ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਜਿਸ ਕੰਮ ਵਿਚ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਲਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਸੋ ਹਮ ਕਰਹ ਜੁ ਆਪਿ ਕਰਾਏ ॥੪॥
so ham karah ju aap karaae |4|
I do that which He makes me to do. ||4||
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਕੰਮ-ਕਾਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਾਥੋਂ ਕਰਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਸੀਂ ਉਹੀ ਕੰਮ-ਕਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ॥੪॥
ਜਿਨ ਕੀ ਭਗਤਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਈ ॥
jin kee bhagat mere prabh bhaaee |
Those whose devotional worship is pleasing to my God
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਪਸੰਦ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ,
ਤੇ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ॥੫॥੧॥੭॥੧੬॥
te jan naanak raam naam liv laaee |5|1|7|16|
- O Nanak, those humble beings center their minds lovingly on the Lord's Name. ||5||1||7||16||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-) ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਪਾ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੫॥੧॥੭॥੧੬॥
