ਬਨਿ ਤਿਨਿ ਪਰਬਤਿ ਹੈ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ॥
ban tin parabat hai paarabraham |
In the forests, fields and mountains, He is the Supreme Lord God.
ਉਹ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਜੰਗਲ ਵਿਚ ਹੈ, ਘਾਹ (ਆਦਿਕ) ਵਿਚ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਪਰਬਤ ਵਿਚ ਹੈ
ਜੈਸੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਤੈਸਾ ਕਰਮੁ ॥
jaisee aagiaa taisaa karam |
As He orders, so do His creatures act.
ਜਿਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਉਹ ਹੁਕਮ (ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ), ਉਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ (ਜੀਵ) ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ
ਪਉਣ ਪਾਣੀ ਬੈਸੰਤਰ ਮਾਹਿ ॥
paun paanee baisantar maeh |
He permeates the winds and the waters.
ਪਉਣ ਵਿਚ, ਪਾਣੀ ਵਿਚ, ਅੱਗ ਵਿਚ,
ਚਾਰਿ ਕੁੰਟ ਦਹ ਦਿਸੇ ਸਮਾਹਿ ॥
chaar kuntt deh dise samaeh |
He is pervading in the four corners and in the ten directions.
ਚਹੁੰ ਕੂਟਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਦਸੀਂ ਪਾਸੀਂ (ਸਭ ਥਾਈਂ) ਸਮਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਤਿਸ ਤੇ ਭਿੰਨ ਨਹੀ ਕੋ ਠਾਉ ॥
tis te bhin nahee ko tthaau |
Without Him, there is no place at all.
ਕੋਈ (ਭੀ) ਥਾਂ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਖਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ
ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਉ ॥੨॥
gur prasaad naanak sukh paau |2|
By Guru's Grace, O Nanak, peace is obtained. ||2||
(ਪਰ) ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਇਸ ਨਿਸਚੇ ਦਾ) ਆਨੰਦ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਬੇਦ ਪੁਰਾਨ ਸਿੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਮਹਿ ਦੇਖੁ ॥
bed puraan sinmrit meh dekh |
See Him in the Vedas, the Puraanas and the Simritees.
ਵੇਦਾਂ ਵਿਚ, ਪੁਰਾਣਾਂ ਵਿਚ, ਸਿਮ੍ਰਿਤਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ (ਓਸੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ) ਤੱਕੋ
ਸਸੀਅਰ ਸੂਰ ਨਖੵਤ੍ਰ ਮਹਿ ਏਕੁ ॥
saseear soor nakhayatr meh ek |
In the moon, the sun and the stars, He is the One.
ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ, ਸੂਰਜ, ਤਾਰਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਭੀ ਇਕ ਉਹੀ ਹੈ
ਬਾਣੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਸਭੁ ਕੋ ਬੋਲੈ ॥
baanee prabh kee sabh ko bolai |
The Bani of God's Word is spoken by everyone.
ਹਰੇਕ ਜੀਵ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਦੀ ਹੀ ਬੋਲੀ ਬੋਲਦਾ ਹੈ
ਆਪਿ ਅਡੋਲੁ ਨ ਕਬਹੂ ਡੋਲੈ ॥
aap addol na kabahoo ddolai |
He Himself is unwavering - He never wavers.
(ਪਰ ਸਭ ਵਿਚ ਹੁੰਦਿਆਂ ਭੀ) ਉਹ ਆਪ ਅਡੋਲ ਹੈ ਕਦੇ ਡੋਲਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ।
ਸਰਬ ਕਲਾ ਕਰਿ ਖੇਲੈ ਖੇਲ ॥
sarab kalaa kar khelai khel |
With absolute power, He plays His play.
ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਤਾਕਤਾਂ ਰਚ ਕੇ (ਜਗਤ ਦੀਆਂ) ਖੇਡਾਂ ਖੇਡ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ,
ਮੋਲਿ ਨ ਪਾਈਐ ਗੁਣਹ ਅਮੋਲ ॥
mol na paaeeai gunah amol |
His value cannot be estimated His virtues are invaluable.
(ਪਰ ਉਹ) ਕਿਸੇ ਮੁੱਲ ਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦਾ (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਅਮੋਲਕ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ
ਸਰਬ ਜੋਤਿ ਮਹਿ ਜਾ ਕੀ ਜੋਤਿ ॥
sarab jot meh jaa kee jot |
In all light, is His Light.
ਜਿਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਜੋਤਾਂ ਵਿਚ (ਜਗ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ),
ਧਾਰਿ ਰਹਿਓ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਓਤਿ ਪੋਤਿ ॥
dhaar rahio suaamee ot pot |
The Lord and Master supports the weave of the fabric of the universe.
ਉਹ ਮਾਲਕ ਤਾਣੇ ਪੇਟੇ ਵਾਂਗ (ਸਭ ਨੂੰ) ਆਸਰਾ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਭਰਮ ਕਾ ਨਾਸੁ ॥
gur parasaad bharam kaa naas |
By Guru's Grace, doubt is dispelled.
(ਪਰ) ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਭਰਮ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਏਹੁ ਬਿਸਾਸੁ ॥੩॥
naanak tin meh ehu bisaas |3|
O Nanak, this faith is firmly implanted within. ||3||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਦੀ ਇਸ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹਸਤੀ ਦਾ) ਇਹ ਯਕੀਨ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਕਾ ਪੇਖਨੁ ਸਭੁ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ॥
sant janaa kaa pekhan sabh braham |
In the eye of the Saint, everything is God.
ਸੰਤ ਜਨ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਵੇਖਦੇ ਹਨ,
ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਕੈ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਸਭਿ ਧਰਮ ॥
sant janaa kai hiradai sabh dharam |
In the heart of the Saint, everything is Dharma.
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਸਾਰੇ (ਖ਼ਿਆਲ) ਧਰਮ ਦੇ ਹੀ (ਉਠਦੇ ਹਨ)।
ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਸੁਨਹਿ ਸੁਭ ਬਚਨ ॥
sant janaa suneh subh bachan |
The Saint hears words of goodness.
ਸੰਤ ਜਨ ਭਲੇ ਬਚਨ ਹੀ ਸੁਣਦੇ ਹਨ,
ਸਰਬ ਬਿਆਪੀ ਰਾਮ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਚਨ ॥
sarab biaapee raam sang rachan |
He is absorbed in the All-pervading Lord.
ਤੇ ਸਭ ਥਾਈਂ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਜਿਨਿ ਜਾਤਾ ਤਿਸ ਕੀ ਇਹ ਰਹਤ ॥
jin jaataa tis kee ih rehat |
This is the way of life of one who knows God.
ਜਿਸ ਜਿਸ ਸੰਤ ਜਨ ਨੇ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ) ਜਾਣ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਰਹਿਣੀ ਹੀ ਇਹ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ,
ਸਤਿ ਬਚਨ ਸਾਧੂ ਸਭਿ ਕਹਤ ॥
sat bachan saadhoo sabh kehat |
True are all the words spoken by the Holy.
ਕਿ ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਸੱਚੇ ਬਚਨ ਬੋਲਦਾ ਹੈ
ਜੋ ਜੋ ਹੋਇ ਸੋਈ ਸੁਖੁ ਮਾਨੈ ॥
jo jo hoe soee sukh maanai |
Whatever happens, he peacefully accepts.
(ਤੇ) ਜੋ ਕੁਝ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਲੋਂ) ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਖ ਮੰਨਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਕਰਨ ਕਰਾਵਨਹਾਰੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਜਾਨੈ ॥
karan karaavanahaar prabh jaanai |
He knows God as the Doer, the Cause of causes.
ਸਭ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਤੇ (ਜੀਆਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ) ਕਰਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬਸੇ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਭੀ ਓਹੀ ॥
antar base baahar bhee ohee |
He dwells inside, and outside as well.
(ਸਾਧੂ ਜਨਾਂ ਲਈ) ਅੰਦਰ ਬਾਹਰ (ਸਭ ਥਾਂ) ਉਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਦੇਖਿ ਸਭ ਮੋਹੀ ॥੪॥
naanak darasan dekh sabh mohee |4|
O Nanak, beholding the Blessed Vision of His Darshan, all are fascinated. ||4||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪੀ) ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਮਸਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੪॥
ਆਪਿ ਸਤਿ ਕੀਆ ਸਭੁ ਸਤਿ ॥
aap sat keea sabh sat |
He Himself is True, and all that He has made is True.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹਸਤੀ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਹੋਂਦ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਭਰਮ ਭੁਲੇਖਾ ਨਹੀਂ।)
ਤਿਸੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੇ ਸਗਲੀ ਉਤਪਤਿ ॥
tis prabh te sagalee utapat |
The entire creation came from God.
ਸਾਰੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੋਂ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।
ਤਿਸੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਾ ਕਰੇ ਬਿਸਥਾਰੁ ॥
tis bhaavai taa kare bisathaar |
As it pleases Him, He creates the expanse.
ਜੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਪਸਾਰਾ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਤਿਸੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਾ ਏਕੰਕਾਰੁ ॥
tis bhaavai taa ekankaar |
As it pleases Him, He becomes the One and Only again.
ਜੇ ਭਾਵੇ ਸੁ, ਤਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਇਕ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਪ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਅਨਿਕ ਕਲਾ ਲਖੀ ਨਹ ਜਾਇ ॥
anik kalaa lakhee neh jaae |
His powers are so numerous, they cannot be known.
ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਤਾਕਤਾਂ ਹਨ, ਕਿਸੇ ਦਾ ਬਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ
ਜਿਸੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਲਏ ਮਿਲਾਇ ॥
jis bhaavai tis le milaae |
As it pleases Him, He merges us into Himself again.
ਜਿਸ ਉਤੇ ਤੁੱਠਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਕਵਨ ਨਿਕਟਿ ਕਵਨ ਕਹੀਐ ਦੂਰਿ ॥
kavan nikatt kavan kaheeai door |
Who is near, and who is far away?
ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਕਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਨੇੜੇ, ਤੇ ਕਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ?
ਆਪੇ ਆਪਿ ਆਪ ਭਰਪੂਰਿ ॥
aape aap aap bharapoor |
He Himself is Himself pervading everywhere.
ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸਭ ਥਾਈਂ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ।
ਅੰਤਰਗਤਿ ਜਿਸੁ ਆਪਿ ਜਨਾਏ ॥
antaragat jis aap janaae |
One whom God causes to know that He is within the heart
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਅੰਦਰਲੀ ਉੱਚੀ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਸੁਝਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਸੁ ਜਨ ਆਪਿ ਬੁਝਾਏ ॥੫॥
naanak tis jan aap bujhaae |5|
- O Nanak, He causes that person to understand Him. ||5||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ (ਆਪਣੀ ਇਸ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਦੀ) ਸਮਝ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੫॥
ਸਰਬ ਭੂਤ ਆਪਿ ਵਰਤਾਰਾ ॥
sarab bhoot aap varataaraa |
In all forms, He Himself is pervading.
ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਵਰਤ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ,
ਸਰਬ ਨੈਨ ਆਪਿ ਪੇਖਨਹਾਰਾ ॥
sarab nain aap pekhanahaaraa |
Through all eyes, He Himself is watching.
(ਉਹਨਾਂ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ) ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਵੇਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਸਗਲ ਸਮਗ੍ਰੀ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਤਨਾ ॥
sagal samagree jaa kaa tanaa |
All the creation is His Body.
(ਜਗਤ ਦੇ) ਸਾਰੇ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਜਿਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਹਨ,
ਆਪਨ ਜਸੁ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸੁਨਾ ॥
aapan jas aap hee sunaa |
He Himself listens to His Own Praise.
(ਸਭ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੋ ਕੇ) ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੋਭਾ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸੁਣ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਆਵਨ ਜਾਨੁ ਇਕੁ ਖੇਲੁ ਬਨਾਇਆ ॥
aavan jaan ik khel banaaeaa |
The One has created the drama of coming and going.
(ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦਾ) ਜੰਮਣਾ ਮਰਨਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਇਕ ਖੇਡ ਬਣਾਈ ਹੈ,
ਆਗਿਆਕਾਰੀ ਕੀਨੀ ਮਾਇਆ ॥
aagiaakaaree keenee maaeaa |
He made Maya subservient to His Will.
ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਵਿਚ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ।
ਸਭ ਕੈ ਮਧਿ ਅਲਿਪਤੋ ਰਹੈ ॥
sabh kai madh alipato rahai |
In the midst of all, He remains unattached.
ਉਹ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਫਿਰ ਵੀ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਹਣਾ ਸੁ ਆਪੇ ਕਹੈ ॥
jo kichh kahanaa su aape kahai |
Whatever is said, He Himself says.
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਜੋ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਕਹਿ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਆਗਿਆ ਆਵੈ ਆਗਿਆ ਜਾਇ ॥
aagiaa aavai aagiaa jaae |
By His Will we come, and by His Will we go.
(ਜੀਵ) ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਵਿਚ ਜੰਮਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਵਿਚ ਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਨਾਨਕ ਜਾ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਾ ਲਏ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੬॥
naanak jaa bhaavai taa le samaae |6|
O Nanak, when it pleases Him, then He absorbs us into Himself. ||6||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੬॥
ਇਸ ਤੇ ਹੋਇ ਸੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਬੁਰਾ ॥
eis te hoe su naahee buraa |
If it comes from Him, it cannot be bad.
ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਲੋਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਜੀਆਂ ਲਈ) ਮਾੜਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ
ਓਰੈ ਕਹਹੁ ਕਿਨੈ ਕਛੁ ਕਰਾ ॥
orai kahahu kinai kachh karaa |
Other than Him, who can do anything?
ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਦੱਸੋ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਕੁਝ ਕਰ ਦਿਖਾਇਆ ਹੈ?
ਆਪਿ ਭਲਾ ਕਰਤੂਤਿ ਅਤਿ ਨੀਕੀ ॥
aap bhalaa karatoot at neekee |
He Himself is good His actions are the very best.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਭੀ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੈ,
ਆਪੇ ਜਾਨੈ ਅਪਨੇ ਜੀ ਕੀ ॥
aape jaanai apane jee kee |
He Himself knows His Own Being.
ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਉਹ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਆਪਿ ਸਾਚੁ ਧਾਰੀ ਸਭ ਸਾਚੁ ॥
aap saach dhaaree sabh saach |
He Himself is True, and all that He has established is True.
ਆਪ ਹਸਤੀ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਸਾਰੀ ਰਚਨਾ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਆਸਰੇ ਹੈ,
ਓਤਿ ਪੋਤਿ ਆਪਨ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਾਚੁ ॥
ot pot aapan sang raach |
Through and through, He is blended with His creation.
ਉਹ ਭੀ ਹੋਂਦ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ (ਭਰਮ ਨਹੀਂ), ਤਾਣੇ ਪੇਟੇ ਵਾਂਗ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾਈ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।
ਤਾ ਕੀ ਗਤਿ ਮਿਤਿ ਕਹੀ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥
taa kee gat mit kahee na jaae |
His state and extent cannot be described.
ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਕਿਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਕੇਡਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੈ-ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਬਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ,
ਦੂਸਰ ਹੋਇ ਤ ਸੋਝੀ ਪਾਇ ॥
doosar hoe ta sojhee paae |
If there were another like Him, then only he could understand Him.
ਕੋਈ ਦੂਜਾ (ਵੱਖਰਾ) ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਸਮਝ ਸਕੇ।
ਤਿਸ ਕਾ ਕੀਆ ਸਭੁ ਪਰਵਾਨੁ ॥
tis kaa keea sabh paravaan |
His actions are all approved and accepted.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ (ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਸਿਰ ਮੱਥੇ ਮੰਨਣਾ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਇਹੁ ਜਾਨੁ ॥੭॥
gur prasaad naanak ihu jaan |7|
By Guru's Grace, O Nanak, this is known. ||7||
(ਪਰ) ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਇਹ ਪਛਾਣ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੭॥
ਜੋ ਜਾਨੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਇ ॥
jo jaanai tis sadaa sukh hoe |
One who knows Him, obtains everlasting peace.
ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝ ਪਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਆਪਿ ਮਿਲਾਇ ਲਏ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸੋਇ ॥
aap milaae le prabh soe |
God blends that one into Himself.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਆਪ ਮਿਲਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਓਹੁ ਧਨਵੰਤੁ ਕੁਲਵੰਤੁ ਪਤਿਵੰਤੁ ॥
ohu dhanavant kulavant pativant |
He is wealth and prosperous, and of noble birth.
ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜੀਊਂਦਾ ਹੀ ਮੁਕਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਧਨ ਵਾਲਾ, ਕੁਲ ਵਾਲਾ ਤੇ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਵਾਲਾ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਜੀਵਨ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਜਿਸੁ ਰਿਦੈ ਭਗਵੰਤੁ ॥
jeevan mukat jis ridai bhagavant |
He is Jivan Mukta - liberated while yet alive the Lord God abides in his heart.
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਧੰਨੁ ਧੰਨੁ ਧੰਨੁ ਜਨੁ ਆਇਆ ॥
dhan dhan dhan jan aaeaa |
Blessed, blessed, blessed is the coming of that humble being
ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ (ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ) ਆਉਣਾ ਮੁਬਾਰਿਕ ਹੈ,
