ਹਮਰੀ ਕਰੋ ਹਾਥ ਦੈ ਰੱਛਾ ॥
hamaree karo haath dai rachhaa |
Protect me O Lord! with Thine own Hands
(ਹੇ ਪਰਮ ਸੱਤਾ!) ਆਪਣਾ ਹੱਥ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਰਖਿਆ ਕਰੋ।
ਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਇ ਚਿਤ ਕੀ ਇੱਛਾ ॥
pooran hoe chit kee ichhaa |
all the desires of my heart be fulfilled.
(ਤਾਂ ਜੋ) ਮੇਰੇ ਚਿਤ ਦੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਏ।
ਤਵ ਚਰਨਨ ਮਨ ਰਹੈ ਹਮਾਰਾ ॥
tav charanan man rahai hamaaraa |
Let my mind rest under Thy Feet
ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ (ਸਦਾ) ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਰਹੇ।
ਅਪਨਾ ਜਾਨ ਕਰੋ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਰਾ ॥੧॥
apanaa jaan karo pratipaaraa | 1|
Sustain me, considering me Thine own.377.
ਆਪਣਾ ਜਾਣ ਕੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਨਾ ਕਰੋ ॥੩੭੭॥
ਹਮਰੇ ਦੁਸਟ ਸਭੈ ਤੁਮ ਘਾਵਹੁ ॥
hamare dusatt sabhai tum ghaavahu |
Destroy, O Lord! all my enemies and
ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਟਾਂ (ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ) ਨੂੰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਕਰੋ।
ਆਪੁ ਹਾਥ ਦੈ ਮੋਹਿ ਬਚਾਵਹੁ ॥
aap haath dai mohi bachaavahu |
protect me with Thine won Hnads.
ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੱਥ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਬਚਾਓ।
ਸੁਖੀ ਬਸੈ ਮੋਰੋ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾ ॥
sukhee basai moro parivaaraa |
May my family live in comfort
ਹੇ ਕਰਤਾਰ! ਮੇਰਾ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ,
ਸੇਵਕ ਸਿਖ੍ਯ ਸਭੈ ਕਰਤਾਰਾ ॥੨॥
sevak sikhay sabhai karataaraa | 2|
and ease alongwith all my servants and disciples.378.
ਸੇਵਕ, ਸਿੱਖ ਸਭ ਸੁਖੀ ਵਸਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ॥੩੭੮॥
ਮੋ ਰੱਛਾ ਨਿਜੁ ਕਰ ਦੈ ਕਰਿਯੈ ॥
mo rachhaa nij kar dai kariyai |
Protect me O Lord! with Thine own Hands
ਆਪਣਾ ਹੱਥ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਰਖਿਆ ਕਰੋ।
ਸਭ ਬੈਰਨ ਕੌ ਆਜ ਸੰਘਰਿਯੈ ॥
sabh bairan kau aaj sanghariyai |
and destroy this day all my enemies
ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਜ ਹੀ ਮਾਰ ਦਿਓ।
ਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਇ ਹਮਾਰੀ ਆਸਾ ॥
pooran hoe hamaaree aasaa |
May all the aspirations be fulfilled
ਮੇਰੀ ਆਸ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਏ।
ਤੋਰਿ ਭਜਨ ਕੀ ਰਹੈ ਪਯਾਸਾ ॥੩॥
tor bhajan kee rahai payaasaa | 3|
Let my thirst for Thy Name remain afresh.379.
(ਸਦਾ) ਤੇਰੇ ਭਜਨ ਲਈ (ਅਥਵਾ ਭਗਤੀ ਲਈ) ਪਿਆਸ (ਤੀਬਰ ਇੱਛਾ) ਬਣੀ ਰਹੇ ॥੩੭੯॥
ਤੁਮਹਿ ਛਾਡਿ ਕੋਈ ਅਵਰ ਨ ਧ੍ਯਾਊਂ ॥
tumeh chhaadd koee avar na dhayaaoon |
I may remember none else except Thee
ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਛਡ ਕੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਦੀ ਅਰਾਧਨਾ ਨਾ ਕਰਾਂ।
ਜੋ ਬਰ ਚਾਹੌਂ ਸੁ ਤੁਮ ਤੇ ਪਾਊਂ ॥
jo bar chaahauan su tum te paaoon |
And obtain all the required boons from Thee
ਜੋ ਵਰ ਚਾਹਵਾਂ, ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਾਂ।
ਸੇਵਕ ਸਿੱਖ੍ਯ ਹਮਾਰੇ ਤਾਰੀਅਹਿ ॥
sevak sikhay hamaare taareeeh |
Let my servants and disciples cross the world-ocean
ਮੇਰੇ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਭਵਸਾਗਰ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਤਾਰ ਦਿਓ।
ਚੁਨਿ ਚੁਨਿ ਸਤ੍ਰ ਹਮਾਰੇ ਮਾਰੀਅਹਿ ॥੪॥
chun chun satr hamaare maareeeh | 4|
All my enemies be singled out and killed.380.
ਮੇਰੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੁਣ ਚੁਣ ਕੇ ਮਾਰ ਦਿਓ ॥੩੮੦॥
ਆਪੁ ਹਾਥ ਦੈ ਮੁਝੈ ਉਬਰਿਯੈ ॥
aap haath dai mujhai ubariyai |
Protect me O Lord! with Thine own Hands and
ਆਪਣਾ ਹੱਥ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਉੱਧਾਰ ਕਰੋ।
ਮਰਨ ਕਾਲ ਕਾ ਤ੍ਰਾਸ ਨਿਵਰਿਯੈ ॥
maran kaal kaa traas nivariyai |
relieve me form the fear of death
ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਦਾ ਡਰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿਓ।
ਹੂਜੋ ਸਦਾ ਹਮਾਰੇ ਪੱਛਾ ॥
hoojo sadaa hamaare pachhaa |
May Thou ever Bestow Thy favours on my side
ਸਦਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਪੱਖ ਵਿਚ ਰਹੋ
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਸਿਧੁਜ ਜੂ ਕਰਿਯਹੁ ਰੱਛਾ ॥੫॥
sree asidhuj joo kariyahu rachhaa | 5|
Protect me O Lord! Thou, the Supreme Destroyer.381.
ਹੇ ਅਸਿਧੁਜ ਜੀ! ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਰਖਿਆ ਕਰੋ ॥੩੮੧॥
ਰਾਖਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਮੁਹਿ ਰਾਖਨਹਾਰੇ ॥
raakh lehu muhi raakhanahaare |
Protect me, O Protector Lord!
ਹੇ ਰਖਿਆ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ! ਮੇਰੀ ਰਖਿਆ ਕਰੋ।
ਸਾਹਿਬ ਸੰਤ ਸਹਾਇ ਪਯਾਰੇ ॥
saahib sant sahaae payaare |
Most dear, the Protector of the Saints:
(ਤੁਸੀਂ) ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਿਬ (ਸੁਆਮੀ) ਅਤੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਹੋ।
ਦੀਨ ਬੰਧੁ ਦੁਸਟਨ ਕੇ ਹੰਤਾ ॥
deen bandh dusattan ke hantaa |
Friend of poor and the Destroyer of the enemies
(ਤੁਸੀਂ) ਦੀਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੰਧੂ ਅਤੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਟਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੰਘਾਰਕ ਹੋ।
ਤੁਮ ਹੋ ਪੁਰੀ ਚਤੁਰਦਸ ਕੰਤਾ ॥੬॥
tum ho puree chaturadas kantaa | 6|
Thou art the Master of the fourteen worlds.382.
ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹੀ ਚੌਦਾਂ ਪੁਰੀਆਂ (ਲੋਕਾਂ) ਦੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹੋ ॥੩੮੨॥
ਕਾਲ ਪਾਇ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਬਪੁ ਧਰਾ ॥
kaal paae brahamaa bap dharaa |
In due time Brahma appeared in physical form
ਸਮਾਂ ਆਣ ਤੇ ਹੀ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਧਾਰਨ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਕਾਲ ਪਾਇ ਸਿਵਜੂ ਅਵਤਰਾ ॥
kaal paae sivajoo avataraa |
In due time Shiva incarnated
ਸਮਾਂ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਹੀ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਧਾਰਿਆ।
ਕਾਲ ਪਾਇ ਕਰਿ ਬਿਸਨ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸਾ ॥
kaal paae kar bisan prakaasaa |
In due time Vishnu manifested himself
ਕਾਲ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਤੇ ਹੀ ਵਿਸ਼ਣੂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਹੋਇਆ।
ਸਕਲ ਕਾਲ ਕਾ ਕੀਆ ਤਮਾਸਾ ॥੭॥
sakal kaal kaa keea tamaasaa | 7|
All this is the play of the Temporal Lord.383.
(ਹੇ ਮਹਾਕਾਲ! ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹੀ) ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਕਾਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਕੌਤਕ ਰਚਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ॥੩੮੩॥
ਜਵਨ ਕਾਲ ਜੋਗੀ ਸਿਵ ਕੀਓ ॥
javan kaal jogee siv keeo |
The Temporal Lord, who created Shiva, the Yogi
ਜਿਸ ਕਾਲ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਨੂੰ ਜੋਗੀ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ
ਬੇਦ ਰਾਜ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਜੂ ਥੀਓ ॥
bed raaj brahamaa joo theeo |
Who created Brahma, the Master of the Vedas
ਅਤੇ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਦਾਂ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਜਵਨ ਕਾਲ ਸਭ ਲੋਕ ਸਵਾਰਾ ॥
javan kaal sabh lok savaaraa |
The Temporal Lord who fashioned the entire world
ਜਿਸ ਕਾਲ ਨੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ (ਭੁਵਨਾਂ) ਨੂੰ ਸੰਵਾਰਿਆ ਹੈ,
ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਹੈ ਤਾਹਿ ਹਮਾਰਾ ॥੮॥
namasakaar hai taeh hamaaraa | 8|
I salute the same Lord.384.
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਨਾਮ ਹੈ ॥੩੮੪॥
ਜਵਨ ਕਾਲ ਸਭ ਜਗਤ ਬਨਾਯੋ ॥
javan kaal sabh jagat banaayo |
The Temporal Lord, who created the whole world
ਜਿਸ ਕਾਲ ਨੇ ਸਾਰਾ ਜਗਤ ਬਣਾਇਆ
ਦੇਵ ਦੈਤ ਜੱਛਨ ਉਪਜਾਯੋ ॥
dev dait jachhan upajaayo |
Who created gods, demons and yakshas
ਅਤੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ, ਦੈਂਤ ਤੇ ਯਕਸ਼ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੇ।
ਆਦਿ ਅੰਤਿ ਏਕੈ ਅਵਤਾਰਾ ॥
aad ant ekai avataaraa |
He is the only one form the beginning to the end
(ਜੋ) ਆਦਿ ਤੋਂ ਅੰਤ ਤਕ ਅਵਤਰਿਤ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਮਾਨ ਹੈ)
ਸੋਈ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਮਝਿਯਹੁ ਹਮਾਰਾ ॥੯॥
soee guroo samajhiyahu hamaaraa | 9|
I consider Him only my Guru.385.
ਉਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਮਝੋ ॥੩੮੫॥
ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਤਿਸਹੀ ਕੋ ਹਮਾਰੀ ॥
namasakaar tisahee ko hamaaree |
I salute Him, non else, but Him
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਹੈ,
ਸਕਲ ਪ੍ਰਜਾ ਜਿਨ ਆਪ ਸਵਾਰੀ ॥
sakal prajaa jin aap savaaree |
Who has created Himself and His subject
ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਜਾ ਨੂੰ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਸਿਵਕਨ ਕੋ ਸਵਗੁਨ ਸੁਖ ਦੀਓ ॥
sivakan ko savagun sukh deeo |
He bestows Divine virtues and happiness on His servants
(ਹੇ ਪਰਮ ਸੱਤਾ! ਤੁਸੀਂ) ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੁਭ ਗੁਣ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਖ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ
ਸੱਤ੍ਰੁਨ ਕੋ ਪਲ ਮੋ ਬਧ ਕੀਓ ॥੧੦॥
satrun ko pal mo badh keeo | 10|
He destroys the enemies instantly.386.
ਅਤੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਛਿਣ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਧ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ॥੩੮੬॥
ਘਟ ਘਟ ਕੇ ਅੰਤਰ ਕੀ ਜਾਨਤ ॥
ghatt ghatt ke antar kee jaanat |
He knows the inner feelings of every heart
(ਤੁਸੀਂ) ਹਰ ਇਕ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹੋ
ਭਲੇ ਬੁਰੇ ਕੀ ਪੀਰ ਪਛਾਨਤ ॥
bhale bure kee peer pachhaanat |
He knows the anguish of both good and bad
ਅਤੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਮਾੜੇ ਦੀ ਪੀੜ (ਦੁਖ) ਨੂੰ ਪਛਾਣਦੇ ਹੋ।
ਚੀਟੀ ਤੇ ਕੁੰਚਰ ਅਸਥੂਲਾ ॥
cheettee te kunchar asathoolaa |
From the ant to the solid elephant
ਕੀੜੀ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਵਡਾਕਾਰੇ ਹਾਥੀ ਤਕ,
ਸਭ ਪਰ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਕਰਿ ਫੂਲਾ ॥੧੧॥
sabh par kripaa drisatt kar foolaa | 11|
He casts His Graceful glance on all and feels pleased.387.
ਸਭ ਉਤੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਰਖ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹੋ ॥੩੮੭॥
ਸੰਤਨ ਦੁਖ ਪਾਏ ਤੇ ਦੁਖੀ ॥
santan dukh paae te dukhee |
He is painful, when He sees His saints in grief
ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੁਖੀ ਹੋਣ ਤੇ (ਤੁਸੀਂ) ਦੁਖੀ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹੋ
ਸੁਖ ਪਾਏ ਸਾਧਨ ਕੇ ਸੁਖੀ ॥
sukh paae saadhan ke sukhee |
He is happy, when His saints are happy.
ਅਤੇ ਸਾਧਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੁਖ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਤੇ ਸੁਖੀ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹੋ।
ਏਕ ਏਕ ਕੀ ਪੀਰ ਪਛਾਨੈ ॥
ek ek kee peer pachhaanai |
He knows the agony of everyone
(ਤੁਸੀਂ) ਇਕ ਇਕ ਦੇ ਦੁਖ ਨੂੰ ਪਛਾਣਦੇ ਹੋ
ਘਟ ਘਟ ਕੇ ਪਟ ਪਟ ਕੀ ਜਾਨੈ ॥੧੨॥
ghatt ghatt ke patt patt kee jaanai | 12|
He knows the innermost secrets of every heart.388.
ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਇਕ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਪਰਦਿਆਂ (ਵਿਚ ਲੁਕੇ ਭੇਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹੋ ॥੩੮੮॥
ਜਬ ਉਦਕਰਖ ਕਰਾ ਕਰਤਾਰਾ ॥
jab udakarakh karaa karataaraa |
When the Creator projected Himself,
ਹੇ ਕਰਤਾਰ! ਜਦੋਂ (ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣਾ) ਵਿਸਤਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ,
ਪ੍ਰਜਾ ਧਰਤ ਤਬ ਦੇਹ ਅਪਾਰਾ ॥
prajaa dharat tab deh apaaraa |
His creation manifested itself in innumerable forms
ਤਦ ਸਾਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਜਾ (ਆਪਣੀ) ਅਪਾਰ ਹੋਂਦ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਜਬ ਆਕਰਖ ਕਰਤ ਹੋ ਕਬਹੂੰ ॥
jab aakarakh karat ho kabahoon |
When at any time He withdraws His creation,
ਜਦ ਕਦੇ (ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਲ) ਖਿਚਦੇ ਹੋ,
ਤੁਮ ਮੈਂ ਮਿਲਤ ਦੇਹ ਧਰ ਸਭਹੂੰ ॥੧੩॥
tum main milat deh dhar sabhahoon | 13|
all the physical forms are merged in Him.389.
(ਤਦ) ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿਚ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਕਾਰ (ਦੇਹ-ਧਾਰੀ) ਸਮਾ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੩੮੯॥
ਜੇਤੇ ਬਦਨ ਸ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਸਭ ਧਾਰੈ ॥
jete badan srisatt sabh dhaarai |
All the bodies of living beings created in the world
ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਵਿਚ ਜਿਤਨੇ ਵੀ ਸਭ ਮੂੰਹ ('ਬਦਨ') ਬਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ,
ਆਪੁ ਆਪਨੀ ਬੂਝਿ ਉਚਾਰੈ ॥
aap aapanee boojh uchaarai |
speak about Him according to their understanding
(ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਭ ਨੇ) ਆਪਣੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੂਝ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ (ਤੇਰੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ) ਗਾਇਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਤੁਮ ਸਭ ਹੀ ਤੇ ਰਹਤ ਨਿਰਾਲਮ ॥
tum sabh hee te rehat niraalam |
But Thou, O Lord! live quite apart from everything
ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਬੇਲਾਗ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹੋ।
ਜਾਨਤ ਬੇਦ ਭੇਦ ਅਰੁ ਆਲਮ ॥੧੪॥
jaanat bed bhed ar aalam | 14|
this fact is know to the Vedas and the learned.390.
(ਇਸ) ਭੇਦ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਵੇਦ ਅਤੇ (ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੇ) ਵਿਦਵਾਨ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੩੯੦॥
ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰ ਨ੍ਰਿਬਿਕਾਰ ਨ੍ਰਿਲੰਭ ॥
nirankaar nribikaar nrilanbh |
The Lord is Formless, Sinless and shelterless:
(ਹੇ ਪਰਮ ਸੱਤਾ! ਤੁਸੀਂ) ਨਿਰਾਕਾਰ, ਨਿਰਵਿਕਾਰ, ਨਿਰਾਧਾਰ ('ਨ੍ਰਿਲੰਭ')
ਆਦਿ ਅਨੀਲ ਅਨਾਦਿ ਅਸੰਭ ॥
aad aneel anaad asanbh |
He is the Primal Power, without Blemish, without Beginning and Unborn
ਆਦਿ (ਸਰੂਪ) ਅਨੀਲ (ਉਜਲੇ) ਅਨਾਦਿ, ਅਸੰਭ (ਜਨਮ ਰਹਿਤ) ਹੋ।
ਤਾ ਕਾ ਮੂੜ੍ਹ ਉਚਾਰਤ ਭੇਦਾ ॥
taa kaa moorrh uchaarat bhedaa |
The fool claims boastfully about the knowledge of His secrets,
ਮੂਰਖ ਲੋਗ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਭੇਦ ਦਾ ਵਰਣਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ,
ਜਾ ਕੋ ਭੇਵ ਨ ਪਾਵਤ ਬੇਦਾ ॥੧੫॥

ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਭੇਦ ਵੇਦ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾ ਸਕੇ ਹਨ ॥੩੯੧॥
ਤਾ ਕੌ ਕਰਿ ਪਾਹਨ ਅਨੁਮਾਨਤ ॥
taa kau kar paahan anumaanat |
The fool considers Him a stone,
(ਜੋ) ਉਸ ਦਾ ਅਨੁਮਾਨ ਪੱਥਰ ਵਿਚ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ,
ਮਹਾ ਮੂੜ੍ਹ ਕਛੁ ਭੇਦ ਨ ਜਾਨਤ ॥
mahaa moorrh kachh bhed na jaanat |
but the great fool does not know any secret
(ਉਹ) ਮਹਾ ਮੂਰਖ (ਉਸ ਦਾ) ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਭੇਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ।
ਮਹਾਂਦੇਵ ਕੌ ਕਹਤ ਸਦਾ ਸਿਵ ॥
mahaandev kau kehat sadaa siv |
He calls Shiva “The Eternal Lord,
ਉਹ ਮਹਾਦੇਵ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਸ਼ਿਵ (ਸਦਾ ਕਲਿਆਣਕਾਰੀ ਈਸ਼ਵਰ) ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ,
ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰ ਕਾ ਚੀਨਤ ਨਹਿ ਭਿਵ ॥੧੬॥
nirankaar kaa cheenat neh bhiv | 16|
“but he does not know the secret of the Formless Lord.392.
ਪਰ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰ ਦਾ ਭੇਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਦੇ ॥੩੯੨॥
ਆਪੁ ਆਪੁਨੀ ਬੁਧਿ ਹੈ ਜੇਤੀ ॥
aap aapunee budh hai jetee |
According to ones won intellect,
(ਹਰ ਇਕ ਦੀ) ਆਪੋ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਿਤਨੀ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਹੈ,
ਬਰਨਤ ਭਿੰਨ ਭਿੰਨ ਤੁਹਿ ਤੇਤੀ ॥
baranat bhin bhin tuhi tetee |
one describes Thee differently
(ਉਹ) ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਭਿੰਨ ਭਿੰਨ ਵਰਣਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਤੁਮਰਾ ਲਖਾ ਨ ਜਾਇ ਪਸਾਰਾ ॥
tumaraa lakhaa na jaae pasaaraa |
The limits of Thy creation cannot be known
(ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!) ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਸਾਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ
ਕਿਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਸਜਾ ਪ੍ਰਥਮ ਸੰਸਾਰਾ ॥੧੭॥
kih bidh sajaa pratham sansaaraa | 17|
and how the world was fashioned in the beginning?393.
ਕਿ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਸਾਜਿਆ ਗਿਆ ॥੩੯੩॥
ਏਕੈ ਰੂਪ ਅਨੂਪ ਸਰੂਪਾ ॥
ekai roop anoop saroopaa |
He hath only one unparalleled Form
(ਤੇਰਾ) ਇਕੋ ਰੂਪ ਅਨੇਕ ਸਰੂਪਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ।
ਰੰਕ ਭਯੋ ਰਾਵ ਕਹੀ ਭੂਪਾ ॥
rank bhayo raav kahee bhoopaa |
He manifests Himself as a poor man or a king at different places
(ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹੀ) ਕਿਤੇ ਰੰਕ ਹੋ, ਕਿਤੇ ਰਾਓ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਤੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਕਹੀਦੇ ਹੋ।
ਅੰਡਜ ਜੇਰਜ ਸੇਤਜ ਕੀਨੀ ॥
anddaj jeraj setaj keenee |
He created creatures from eggs, wombs and perspiration
(ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ) ਅੰਡਜ, ਜੇਰਜ ਅਤੇ ਸੇਤਜ (ਖਾਣੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਰਚਨਾ) ਕੀਤੀ
ਉਤਭੁਜ ਖਾਨਿ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਰਚਿ ਦੀਨੀ ॥੧੮॥
autabhuj khaan bahur rach deenee | 18|
Then He created the vegetable kingdom.394.
ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਉਤਭੁਜ ਖਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਰਚਨਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ॥੩੯੪॥
ਕਹੂੰ ਫੂਲਿ ਰਾਜਾ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਬੈਠਾ ॥
kahoon fool raajaa hvai baitthaa |
Somewhere He sits joyfully as a king
ਕਿਤੇ (ਤੁਸੀਂ) ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨਤਾ ਪੂਰਵਕ ਰਾਜੇ ਬਣੇ ਬੈਠੇ ਹੋ
ਕਹੂੰ ਸਿਮਟਿ ਭਯੋ ਸੰਕਰ ਇਕੈਠਾ ॥
kahoon simatt bhayo sankar ikaitthaa |
Somewhere He contracts Himself as Shiva, the Yogi
ਅਤੇ ਕਿਤੇ ਸਿਮਟ ਕੇ ਸ਼ੰਕਰ ਦੀ (ਮੂਰਤੀ ਵਿਚ) ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹੋ (ਅਰਥਾਂਤਰ- ਕਿਤੇ ਸੰਯੁਕਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਸਿਮਟੇ ਹੋਏ ਹੋ)।
ਸਿਗਰੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਦਿਖਾਇ ਅਚੰਭਵ ॥
sigaree srisatt dikhaae achanbhav |
All His creation unfolds wonderful things
(ਤੁਸੀਂ) ਸਾਰੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦਾ ਅਚੰਭਾ ਵਿਖਾਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਆਦਿ ਜੁਗਾਦਿ ਸਰੂਪ ਸੁਯੰਭਵ ॥੧੯॥
aad jugaad saroop suyanbhav | 19|
He, the Primal Power, is from the beginning and Self-Existent.395.
(ਤੁਸੀਂ) ਮੁਢ ਵਿਚ, ਜੁਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਰੰਭ ਵਿਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਹੋਂਦ ਵਿਚ ਆਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਰੂਪ ਹੋ ॥੩੯੫॥
ਅਬ ਰੱਛਾ ਮੇਰੀ ਤੁਮ ਕਰੋ ॥
ab rachhaa meree tum karo |
O Lord! keep me now under Thy protection
(ਤੁਸੀਂ) ਹੁਣ ਮੇਰੀ ਰਖਿਆ ਕਰੋ।
ਸਿੱਖ੍ਯ ਉਬਾਰਿ ਅਸਿੱਖ੍ਯ ਸੰਘਰੋ ॥
sikhay ubaar asakhay sangharo |
Protect my disciples and destroy my enemies
(ਤੁਸੀਂ) ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਓ ਅਤੇ ਅਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰੋ।
ਦੁਸਟ ਜਿਤੇ ਉਠਵਤ ਉਤਪਾਤਾ ॥
dusatt jite utthavat utapaataa |
ਜਿਤਨੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਉਤਪਾਤ (ਉਪਦ੍ਰ) ਮਚਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ,
ਸਕਲ ਮਲੇਛ ਕਰੋ ਰਣ ਘਾਤਾ ॥੨੦॥
sakal malechh karo ran ghaataa | 20|
All the villains creations outrage and all the infidels be destroyed in the battlefield.396.
(ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ) ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਮਲੇਛਾਂ ਦਾ ਰਣ ਵਿਚ ਨਾਸ਼ ਕਰੋ ॥੩੯੬॥
ਜੇ ਅਸਿਧੁਜ ਤਵ ਸਰਨੀ ਪਰੇ ॥
je asidhuj tav saranee pare |
ਹੇ ਅਸਿਧੁਜ! ਜੋ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ,
ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਦੁਸਟ ਦੁਖਿਤ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਮਰੇ ॥
tin ke dusatt dukhit hvai mare |
O Supreme Destroyer! those who sought Thy refuge, their enemies met painful death
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਟ (ਦੁਸ਼ਮਨ) ਦੁਖੀ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਮਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਪੁਰਖ ਜਵਨ ਪਗ ਪਰੇ ਤਿਹਾਰੇ ॥
purakh javan pag pare tihaare |
(ਜੋ) ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ,
ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਤੁਮ ਸੰਕਟ ਸਭ ਟਾਰੇ ॥੨੧॥
tin ke tum sankatt sabh ttaare | 21|
The persons who fell at Thy Feet, Thou didst remove all their troubles.397.
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੰਕਟ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋ ॥੩੯੭॥
ਜੋ ਕਲਿ ਕੋ ਇਕ ਬਾਰ ਧਿਐਹੈ ॥
jo kal ko ik baar dhiaihai |
ਜੋ 'ਕਲਿ' ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਵਾਰ ਧਿਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ,
ਤਾ ਕੇ ਕਾਲ ਨਿਕਟਿ ਨਹਿ ਐਹੈ ॥
taa ke kaal nikatt neh aihai |
Those who meditate even on the Supreme Destroyer, the death cannot approach them
(ਫਿਰ) ਕਾਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ।
ਰੱਛਾ ਹੋਇ ਤਾਹਿ ਸਭ ਕਾਲਾ ॥
rachhaa hoe taeh sabh kaalaa |
They remain protected at all times
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਕਾਲਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਰਖਿਆ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ
ਦੁਸਟ ਅਰਿਸਟ ਟਰੈਂ ਤਤਕਾਲਾ ॥੨੨॥
dusatt arisatt ttarain tatakaalaa | 22|
Their enemies and troubles come to and end instantly.398.
(ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ) ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਘਨ ਉਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੩੯੮॥
ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਤਨ ਜਾਹਿ ਨਿਹਰਿਹੋ ॥
kripaa drisatt tan jaeh nihariho |
(ਤੁਸੀਂ) ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਨਾਲ ਵੇਖਦੇ ਹੋ,
ਤਾ ਕੇ ਤਾਪ ਤਨਕ ਮਹਿ ਹਰਿਹੋ ॥
taa ke taap tanak meh hariho |
Upon whomsoever Thou dost cast Thy favourable glance, they are absolved of sins instantly
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ (ਸਾਰੇ) ਦੁਖ ਛਿਣ ਵਿਚ ਹਰੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਰਿੱਧਿ ਸਿੱਧਿ ਘਰ ਮੋ ਸਭ ਹੋਈ ॥
ridh sidh ghar mo sabh hoee |
They have all the worldly and spiritual pleasures in their homes
(ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ) ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਸਭ ਰਿਧੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਧੀਆਂ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ
ਦੁਸਟ ਛਾਹ ਛ੍ਵੈ ਸਕੈ ਨ ਕੋਈ ॥੨੩॥
dusatt chhaah chhvai sakai na koee | 23|
None of th enemies can even touch their shadow.399.
ਅਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਦੁਸ਼ਟ (ਦੁਸ਼ਮਨ) (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ) ਪਰਛਾਈ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਛੋਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੩੯੯॥
ਏਕ ਬਾਰ ਜਿਨ ਤੁਮੈ ਸੰਭਾਰਾ ॥
ek baar jin tumai sanbhaaraa |
(ਹੇ ਪਰਮ ਸੱਤਾ!) ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਇਕ ਵਾਰ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ,
ਕਾਲ ਫਾਸ ਤੇ ਤਾਹਿ ਉਬਾਰਾ ॥
kaal faas te taeh ubaaraa |
He, who remembered Thee even once, Thou didst protect him from the noose of death
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ (ਤੁਸੀਂ) ਕਾਲ ਦੀ ਫਾਹੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾ ਲਿਆ।
ਜਿਨ ਨਰ ਨਾਮ ਤਿਹਾਰੋ ਕਹਾ ॥
jin nar naam tihaaro kahaa |
ਜਿਸ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਨਾਮ ਉਚਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ,
ਦਾਰਿਦ ਦੁਸਟ ਦੋਖ ਤੇ ਰਹਾ ॥੨੪॥
daarid dusatt dokh te rahaa | 24|
Those persons, who repeated Thy Name, they were saved from poverty and attacks of enemies.400.
(ਉਹ) ਦਰਿਦ੍ਰ (ਗ਼ਰੀਬੀ) ਦੁਸ਼ਟ (ਦੁਸ਼ਮਨ) ਅਤੇ ਦੁਖਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚ ਗਿਆ ॥੪੦੦॥
ਖੜਗਕੇਤ ਮੈ ਸਰਣਿ ਤਿਹਾਰੀ ॥
kharragaket mai saran tihaaree |
ਹੇ ਖੜਗਕੇਤੁ! ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਹਾਂ।
ਆਪੁ ਹਾਥ ਦੈ ਲੇਹੁ ਉਬਾਰੀ ॥
aap haath dai lehu ubaaree |
Bestow thy help own me at all places protect me from the design of my enemies. 401.
ਆਪਣਾ ਹੱਥ ਦੇ ਕੇ (ਮੈਨੂੰ) ਬਚਾ ਲਵੋ।
ਸਰਬ ਠੌਰ ਮੋ ਹੋਹੁ ਸਹਾਈ ॥
sarab tthauar mo hohu sahaaee |
ਸਭ ਥਾਂਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਹੋ ਜਾਓ।
ਦੁਸਟ ਦੋਖ ਤੇ ਲੇਹੁ ਬਚਾਈ ॥੨੫॥
dusatt dokh te lehu bachaaee | 25|
Bestow Thy help on me at all places and protect me from the designs of my enemies.401.
ਦੁਸ਼ਟ (ਦੁਸ਼ਮਨ) ਅਤੇ ਦੁਖ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾ ਲਵੋ ॥੪੦੧॥
ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰੀ ਹਮ ਪਰ ਜਗ ਮਾਤਾ ॥
kripaa karee ham par jag maataa |
ਮੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ ਜਗਮਾਤਾ ਨੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ
ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਕਰਾ ਪੂਰਨ ਸੁਭ ਰਾਤਾ ॥
granth karaa pooran subh raataa |
The Mother of the world has been kind towards me and I have completed the book this auspicious night
(ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ) ਸ਼ੁਭ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਪੂਰ ('ਸੁਭਰਾਤਾ') ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਪੂਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਕਿਲਬਿਖ ਸਕਲ ਦੇਹ ਕੋ ਹਰਤਾ ॥
kilabikh sakal deh ko harataa |
(ਉਹੀ) ਮੇਰੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ
ਦੁਸਟ ਦੋਖਿਯਨ ਕੋ ਛੈ ਕਰਤਾ ॥੨੬॥
dusatt dokhiyan ko chhai karataa | 26|
The Lord is the destroyer of all the sins of the body and all the malicious and wicked persons.402.
ਅਤੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਟਾਂ (ਵੈਰੀਆਂ) ਅਤੇ ਦੋਖੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ ॥੪੦੨॥
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਸਿਧੁਜ ਜਬ ਭਏ ਦਇਆਲਾ ॥
sree asidhuj jab bhe deaalaa |
ਜਦ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਸਿਧੁਜ (ਮਹਾ ਕਾਲ) ਦਿਆਲ ਹੋਏ,
ਪੂਰਨ ਕਰਾ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਤਤਕਾਲਾ ॥
pooran karaa granth tatakaalaa |
When Mahakal became kind, He immediately caused me to complete this book
ਤਾਂ ਉਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ (ਮੈਂ ਇਹ) ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ।
ਮਨ ਬਾਂਛਤ ਫਲ ਪਾਵੈ ਸੋਈ ॥
man baanchhat fal paavai soee |
(ਜੋ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਪਠਨ ਪਾਠਨ ਕਰੇਗਾ) ਉਹ ਮਨ-ਇੱਛਤ ਫਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰੇਗਾ।
ਦੂਖ ਨ ਤਿਸੈ ਬਿਆਪਤ ਕੋਈ ॥੨੭॥
dookh na tisai biaapat koee | 27|
He will obtain the fruit desired by the mind (who will read or listen to this book) and no suffering will occur to him.403.
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਦੁਖ ਵਿਆਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ॥੪੦੩॥
ਅੜਿੱਲ ॥

ਸੁਨੈ ਗੁੰਗ ਜੋ ਯਾਹਿ ਸੁ ਰਸਨਾ ਪਾਵਈ ॥
sunai gung jo yaeh su rasanaa paavee |
The dumb, who will listen to it, will be blessed with the tongue to speak
ਇਸ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਨੂੰ ਜੇ ਗੁੰਗਾ ਸੁਣੇਗਾ, (ਤਾਂ) ਉਹ ਜੀਭ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਵੇਗਾ।
ਸੁਨੈ ਮੂੜ ਚਿਤ ਲਾਇ ਚਤੁਰਤਾ ਆਵਈ ॥
sunai moorr chit laae chaturataa aavee |
The fool, who will listen to it attentively, will get wisdom
ਜੇ ਮੂਰਖ ਚਿਤ ਲਗਾ ਕੇ ਸੁਣੇਗਾ, (ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਸਿਆਣਪ ਆ ਜਾਏਗੀ।
ਦੂਖ ਦਰਦ ਭੌ ਨਿਕਟ ਨ ਤਿਨ ਨਰ ਕੇ ਰਹੈ ॥
dookh darad bhau nikatt na tin nar ke rahai |
That person will be absolved of suffering, pain or fear,
ਉਸ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਦੁਖ, ਦਰਦ ਅਤੇ ਭੈ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹੇਗਾ,
ਹੋ ਜੋ ਯਾਕੀ ਏਕ ਬਾਰ ਚੌਪਈ ਕੋ ਕਹੈ ॥੨੮॥
ho jo yaakee ek baar chauapee ko kahai | 28|
Who will even once recite this Chaupai-prayer.404.
ਜੋ ਇਕ ਵਾਰ ਇਸ ਚੌਪਈ ਦਾ ਪਾਠ ਕਰੇਗਾ ॥੪੦੪॥

ਅਤੇ (ਫਿਰ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ) ਅੱਧਾ ਸੌ (੫੦) ਅਤੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਕਹੋ (ਅਰਥਾਤ ੧੭੫੩ ਬਿ.)।
ਭਾਦ੍ਰਵ ਸੁਦੀ ਅਸਟਮੀ ਰਵਿਵਾਰਾ ॥

ਭਾਦੋਂ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦੀ ਸੁਦੀ ਅੱਠਵੀਂ ਐਤਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ

ਸ੍ਵੈਯਾ ॥

ਪਾਂਇ ਗਹੇ ਜਬ ਤੇ ਤੁਮਰੇ ਤਬ ਤੇ ਕੋਊ ਆਂਖ ਤਰੇ ਨਹੀ ਆਨ੍ਯੋ ॥
paane gahe jab te tumare tab te koaoo aankh tare nahee aanayo |
O God! the day when I caught hold of your feet, I do not bring anyone else under my sight
ਜਦ ਤੋਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਚਰਨ ਫੜੇ ਹਨ ਤਦ ਤੋਂ ਮੈਂ (ਹੋਰ) ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਿਆਉਂਦਾ।
ਰਾਮ ਰਹੀਮ ਪੁਰਾਨ ਕੁਰਾਨ ਅਨੇਕ ਕਹੈਂ ਮਤ ਏਕ ਨ ਮਾਨ੍ਯੋ ॥
raam raheem puraan kuraan anek kahain mat ek na maanayo |
None other is liked by me now the Puranas and the Quran try to know Thee by the names of Ram and Rahim and talk about you through several stories,
ਰਾਮ, ਰਹੀਮ, ਪੁਰਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਰਾਨ ਨੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਮੱਤ ਕਹੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ। (ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਕਿਸੇ) ਇਕ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨਦਾ।
ਸਿੰਮ੍ਰਿਿਤ ਸਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਬੇਦ ਸਭੈ ਬਹੁ ਭੇਦ ਕਹੈਂ ਹਮ ਏਕ ਨ ਜਾਨ੍ਯੋ ॥
sinmrit saasatr bed sabhai bahu bhed kahain ham ek na jaanayo |
The Simritis, Shastras and Vedas describe several mysteries of yours, but I do not agree with any of them.
ਸਮ੍ਰਿਤੀਆਂ, ਸ਼ਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਅਤੇ ਵੇਦ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਭੇਦ ਦੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਇਕ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਿਆ।
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਸਿਪਾਨ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਤੁਮਰੀ ਕਰਿ ਮੈ ਨ ਕਹ੍ਯੋ ਸਭ ਤੋਹਿ ਬਖਾਨ੍ਯੋ ॥੧॥
sree asipaan kripaa tumaree kar mai na kehayo sabh tohi bakhaanayo | 1|
O sword-wielder God! This all has been described by Thy Grace, what power can I have to write all this?.863.
ਹੇ ਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ! ਤੇਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰਕੇ (ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਿਰਜਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਿਆ ਹੈ)। (ਇਹ) ਮੈਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿਹਾ, ਸਾਰਾ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹੀ ਕਥਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ॥੮੬੩॥
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥

ਸਗਲ ਦੁਆਰ ਕਉ ਛਾਡਿ ਕੈ ਗਹਿਓ ਤੁਹਾਰੋ ਦੁਆਰ ॥
sagal duaar kau chhaadd kai gahio tuhaaro duaar |
O Lord! I have forsaken all other doors and have caught hold of only Thy door. O Lord! Thou has caught hold of my arm
ਸਾਰੇ ਦਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ, ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਦਰ ਫੜਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਬਾਂਹਿ ਗਹੇ ਕੀ ਲਾਜ ਅਸ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਦਾਸ ਤੁਹਾਰ ॥੨॥
baanhi gahe kee laaj as gobind daas tuhaar | 2|
I, Govind, am Thy serf, kindly take (care of me and) protect my honour.864.
ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਬਾਂਹ ਫੜੇ ਦੀ ਲਾਜ ਹੈ, ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਦਾਸ ਹਾਂ ॥੮੬੪॥
